Only thing I’m sure of, Ian being a mystery man means Chris has a heck of a plot twist cooking in that evil brain…. but still, that Fed-mobile bugs the heck out of me…with Mari talking like he’s not employed? Hmmm….

My family have been volunteers since the first stirrings of self-rule with the 9 Men in Nieuw Amsterdam. My 8-times grandfather was on Washington’s staff. My uncle was Commandant of the Marine Corps. My brother and I both served as volunteers.

And now, at 83, I am disillusioned.

We desperately need the Constitutional Republic of the United States, with the removal of the pustulent mess that now exists.

I don’t have many Veterans in my linage that I know about. The one that stands out is Frank Weber.

      Weber, Frank
      Side: Union
      Unit Name: 9 Minnesota
      Regiment:9
      State: Minnesota
      Function:
      Company: G
      Rank: Sergeant
      Description:
      Held at Andersonville and survived

(he actually escaped and made it back to his own lines. Received a pension the rest of his life.)

He was my great-great grandfather (two greats is correct)

They let him live. By directive of the First Rino, many others did not.

“…prisoners were held in extremely crowded ships off the coast where thousands died from starvation and exposure.”

Accounting for more than 56,000 deaths in the CW. Dear God what a way to die…Let me take one in the chest as I try to kill them or one in the back as I try to escape, but please don’t let me just waste away like that. Good lesson at least for me going forward, I will NOT let them take me to the ships/boxcars/camps…I will die if needed to avoid it.

Yet he hooks up with the brunette with blue eyes…does Ian have blue eyes as most redheads do? That guarantees blue-eyed offspring.

Wasn’t Jack blue-eyed too? Kiko’s eyes are brown…their baby Jackie could go either way though brown tends to be dominant.

Unca Walt – like you I come from a family that has long served…since the suppression of Bacon’s Rebellion at least and all of America’s wars since…7 out of 8 possible ancestors fought in the War of Independence…I’m a Vietnam era vet…and am, like you, disillusioned….

To the cartoon: no woman should ever demand that a man promise to to serve as a warrior when needed…I love DBD and Chris, but I can’t agree with this…. It may be now is not the time, but all true men should be “ready in every time of deepest peril to vindicate [our nation’s] honor and defend her rights.”

That’s the problem isn’t it? It’s ough to serve the nation’s interests in foreign lands when the leaders don’t look out for her interests on the southern border.

I believe she’s looking at the military as it now exists. The “commander in chief” of that military* has forsaken his oath of office, and is willing to send our soldiers where they have no business going, supporting the interests of countries other than our own.

While an SAR member myself, my forbears a generation or two later stole horses from Union to sell to patriots in Grey, and then stole back and sold to Union accepting no script from either side but durable goods. I was raised by spooks. I served overseas in Balkans, Sandbox and several ‘Stan’s. I’m more sad and mad than disillusioned. I’m also prepared.

Lotta veterans reading along here. Lotta Marines too. The problem with maintaining fealty to our country now is that it is controlled by and run by people who abhor the Constitution, and hate the root stock of our nation. Who’s going to fight for a polity like that?

I have loyalty to my country. My country is defined by the U.S. Constitution. The government today largely opposes & ignores the U.S. Constitution. The government is NOT the country. I owe no loyalty to the government.

There’s an answer in that statement. Flip over the card that enumerates your rights and read the word written there in big, bloody letters. Now think about what that word demands of you.

@Unca Walt…first let me just say, now that’s a familial lineage! Multiples in the RW? Uncle was Marine Commandant? Damn. Who was he and when was his command (bit of a jarhead historian; never served myself but my life was saved twice by civvy Marines (once a Marine always a Marine my baby blue Marine Johnny Stephens said (he was in WPB in the 70’s Walt and active in the gatherings, any remembrance of him?). Anyway, love everything about them as a service, until lately of course.

But let me edit your piece just a bit…you said “We desperately need the Constitutional Republic of the United States, with the removal of the pustulent mess that now exists.”

Yes sir our need for a new Constitutional Republic is critical to survival, but I think it cannot be “of the United States” when what we have is the most dis-united set of states since the 1860’s, more so I think as the geography is so vast. Also instead of removal I am in favor of leaving them with their pustulent mess in their various shithole cities for them to deal with as best they can once the Patriots, the Military, the Producers, and the Leadership moves to our side and our cause…can you drown in pustulence? Let us hope so.

Constitutional Republic of America…The CRA. Now or never.

We all walk our own path. Sometimes others walk the same path or walk with us. Wherever we are we choose what we will do.
    Freedom is choosing.
In life we try to expand the good choices people can make. We hope that there will be others choosing as we choose for the good. If enough choose good, the evil is overwhelmed. Sometimes immediately, sometimes after time.
We all can do what we can do. If others do things, even better. I don’t make the other person’s choice.
There are a lot of good people here and in the country, and around the world. I keep meeting more.

I’m away busy for a while and Ian has still not been unveiled.

Be who you are Ian. Men and women must make the decisions that they believe are right.

I got my pea shooter should our nation or the constitution need it to be used. If I had the say, these wars since I was a child were poorly negotiated. And poorly decided at the top. Smedley Butler was correct. But the Russians defended Mother Russia when they wanted to kill all in the government.

I had older cousins that fought for the Axis as there were no other options. Their nations armies also had no problem fighting the Russians, as they later did in 1956.
When ordered to destroy the City of Warsaw and its people, the Hungarian General of the two Home Reserve armies told the SS General famous for such destruction elsewhere that it wasn’t going to happen.
The Hungarians had fought Russians through Poland and into Russia. They attended church at the Catholic and other churches (forbidden). They brought music and played and sang religious and the Polish national anthem (all forbidden).
Hitler had ordered the Polish Capitol of Warsaw destroyed completely. The Hungarians refused to the SS. They chose. They were ordered to seal about half of Warsaw’s borders. They chose to appear to have done so. The Hungarians supplied the Polish with supplies. They evacuated the wounded, aged and women and children. The Hungarians supplied the Polish forces all of the orphan unregistered weapons that they had picked up along the way on the battlefields, and when the Polish commander asked what about the ammunition the brought out several wagons full of the appropriate ammo and arranged for the rest to be delivered. A battle that the SS General said would be over in six days was still not over 60 days later. Stalin had stopped the Soviet Red Army 10 kilometers outside the City of Warsaw’s boundaries.
The two socialist nations could cooperate on politics of killing Poles and ensuring Stalin’s puppet communist government formed the government in Poland. The Hungarians tried to get the Allies to let them switch sides and join the Pokes in battle. The Allies refused, then allowed the Romanians to switch sides, whereupon the immediately attacked Hungary concerning territories disputed from the various treaties and actions since WW1.

The Germans took over the Hungarian government and the treating of Hungarians who were Jewish as Hungarians was ended by the German Nazi government.
One can be surrounded by evil, even to being in an armed forces allied with evil forces, and even have people try to force you to do evil. And many said no. There were individual and group decisions.
We all have our own choice of what, when, where and how we will act, and how we might die.
