Day By Day

My first comment: “Wow, you guys coodinated your sunglasses, so cool! Are you that Gay Men’s Choir that’s scheduled for 2 PM?”

  • Pamela

More like are they all packing heavy duty protection with a reservoir tip…
Lord knows where any of them have been.

  • JTC

Funny…when I saw the clip of the “undercover” dude with a gun being marched out by a phalanx of those storm troopers, my immediate thought was how effing gay is that? 🙂

  • Hotrod Lincoln

Hmmmm- – – – -sort of looks like the Phaggot Bureau of Incompetence to me!

  • Too Tall

Just when you think the Federal Government cannot possiblly be any more incompetent, they waste millions more of your tax dollars to prove you wrong.

    • Browncoat57

      Perfect comment…

    • Damn. So it’s even crazier than appeared before… «the negligible force against the insubstantial object» indeed.
Imagine you read a chronicle of ⅩⅧ century. So there were some people…

storming the Capital […] as the government of the country literally fucking flees and then just wandering around the building confused about why the level isn’t ending instead of declaring a new government and issuing warrants for congressmen’s arrest

So, of course, being somewhat sane and not raised on Disney cud, you think: «lolwut… how nuts is that?»
But then, there’s a footnote! Huh. You read it: «…secret police was sent to the street to do the job of normal police. Poor bastards were shy in this role to the point they could be made to kneel upon request, without even a threat of force.»
Are there words in any human language to name this?

    “Government is here to help”………themselves.

  • PCChaos

Once again, coffee shot through nose on keyboard. Brilliant, hilarious, because it’s true. Where has our Republuc run off to?

    • Too Tall

Much as with handling sensitive electronics and weapons, I need to secure all liquids prior to reading DBD.

It makes me wonder of there were more undercover FBI/ATF/antifa instigators there than there were actual protesters. This first point makes me wonder further if the ‘protest/rally’ was really a false flag operation as a means of identifying said FBI/ATF/antifa instigators? If so, it was really quite clever. It also made them waste an incredible amount of time and money while also making fools of them simultaneously.

    • AngryToxicDeplorable-PaulS

“ It also made them waste an incredible amount of time and money while also making fools of them simultaneously.”

Not quite sure if this gives me net happiness, since it’s my money being wasted! Grrrr….

    • And this may be how to break their effort. Schedule a protest every weekend. Or every day? All the insiders know it’s a fake, but the gov will still send out the robocops and narcs. Bankrupt the DC budget with paying them overtime. OTOH, they own the printing presses that make the money. Meh.

Duckhunter, Your link is double posted. It has to be cut in half to work. – RR

    • Kafiroon

OK. Since we are into Govt. LaLaLand of lies and finance, Lieden says we are going into a Federal Debt Crisis.
BUT. We must spend 3.5 – 5.+ Trillion dollars right now for progressive demonrat wish lists.
And Yellen says we have to, Right Now! raise the National debt limit so we can spend even more money that the govt. does Not have. So we will take it from you peons.
      There is something wrong here.

  • Dread

Sky is laying around with Jan and Damon…I’ve forgotten that storyline.

  • Halley

Every day since Nov4, every terrible thing that’s happened, the same question: why didn’t President Trump root out all this evil, or even just some of it, when he had the chance? Perhaps that’s asking too much of one man, but the fact remains that NO ONE was held to account and the rot was allowed to fester. Why?

    • AngryToxicDeplorable-PaulS

Probably because, as we’re finding out now, it’s far worse than can even be imagined.

Seriously, if you wrote a dystopian storyline just using what we’ve seen over the last five years it would be unbelievable.

  • DogByte6RER

Now it’s just a matter of separating the wheat from the chaff … i.e., the chaff being all those “undercover” FBI, BATFE and USCP plants at this sham protest.

There are undoubtedly thousands of photos of them all online now … it’s just a matter of identifying who belongs to what alphabet soup agency and then creating an online rogues’ gallery.

  • Jay Harper

I had to look up what grindr meant.

  • Oh, and I’m perfectly happy to say that I had no idea what Grindr was. Had to look it up. What a perfect term for their sarcastic self-destructive pitiless private world.

    • Norm

Just looked it up myself. That’s funny!

  • Oldarmourer

‘wokeness’ is the disease that will end us all and nobody seems interested in finding a cure or even putting a stop to its’ spread…

The problem with this article is that it is entirely believable in it’s prescience.
Everything in it has already come to pass or is destined to very soon.
Fear for the world as we know it for we may not know it much longer…

  • Hotrod Lincoln

Off topic for today’s strip, but too good not to share:

New DC cocktail party drink- – – -the “Gin Psaki”

    2 shots of cheap gin
    2 shots of sour mix
    several dashes of bitters
heavy splash of Grenadine for that “ditzy blonde with a red dye job for artificial intelligence” look
Blend with ice for maximum spin!

    • Pamela

She gives Real Redheads a bad name. We would not put up with that crap.

      • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal B Woodman Domestic Violent Extremist SuperStraight

I would pay good PPV money to watch you go up to the podium and yank Psaki’s hair. Out. In clumps. By the roots.

      • interventor

Worst red hair dye job, ever.

  • interventor

Bit off topic, frozen meats to be scarce in UK due to natural gas cost rise. Two major fertilizer plants in the UK closed because of rise in cost of ingredients and natural gas. Fertilizer plants produce CO2 as a byproduct. CO2 used to freeze meats. Two problems — less fertilizer means lower crop yields, plus no frozen meat, or extremely expensive imports. Suggest Brits look up their grandma’s recipes for spam. Which fed their army and military thru the early 1950s. Scarcity predicted to spread to US.

  • interventor

Sorry, meant to say civilians, not military in the next to last sentence.

  • pyrodice

When the government shows up to arrest the government, and it’s funny, til you remember they’re sending you the bill next April.

  • Cowboy-B-Bandit

Something to think about, the government has dumped money into the economy equal to more than 20% of the annual GNP in a year.

What does that mean? Reduction of the buying power of the dollar, also known as inflation.

In some economists circles it is called theft.

    Your savings is worth less.
    Investments are worth less.
Your pay check is worth less, or are you going to receive a 20% raise to compensate for the reduced buying power?

Why are housing prices going up? Partly inflation and part people switching to real property as a hedge against inflation.

Also with the ~ 500% increase in building materials more people are looking at existing homes as a better option.
