And they want to take our guns because only their security guards should have them. Even cops can’t be trusted with guns anymore because they keep shooting the Democrats’ constituents.

    • James F Gemind

You want to hear a fun fact? Firearms weren’t required to have serial numbers until 1968, IIRC, so when you go to Gun Shows, the thing to look for…;)

      • JTC

Incorrect as that only pertains to long guns. And unnecessary as the NPA holds in inventory 350 million tools of every type. THAT is what to look for, patronize, and most importantly protect from gov regulation/registration…”universal background check” my big fat white ass.

        • JTC

Correction and apology to James G…

He is correct that SN’s were not required *by law* on non-NFA (1934) firearms made prior to GCA (1968) and numbering was left optional to the maker during that time. However, as a practical matter virtually all makers DID serialize handguns while many but not all did NOT do so on long guns. So while it is pretty common to find an old .22 or scattergun without numbers it is pretty uncommon to find handguns without them. Additionally if any firearm ever had a number and it has been removed or altered, then possession of it is prohibited under GCA, even if that altered gun WAS legal prior to that. Clear as mud right? More detailed explanation (though still not totally clear even for dealers, who can buy and sell un-numbered guns by including the phrase “no serial number, manufactured prior to 1968” in their record books, many choose not to as there is no definitive way to prove such and they just don’t want to deal with any potential issues).

Still, James is right and I was wrong as to his statement of no government requirement for numbers on pre-’68 guns, but do not go into a gun show or anywhere else and expect to find many if any un-numbered handguns (or for that matter very many desirable long guns as makers like Remington and Browning numbered their shotguns etc. way back prior even to the NFA package of laws of ’34).

To reiterate what I said above, maybe the biggest threat to firearms rights right now is now is not to things like junk stocks, silencers (really just mufflers), or even semi-automatics (what they call Assault Weapons, AAAIIIEEE!), but rather the historical and critical federal exemption on private commerce in all (non-NFA) guns…this assault, as it were, on that particular right is couched carefully to gain support even for gun-rights people, and it has, but what they call the “common-sense” requirement for NICS checks through an FFL on all private purchases, which they falsely call the “gun-show and internet loophole” which is non-existent, …is really a backdoor method and outright campaign NOT for univerasal backgrounds checks (UBC) but for universal registration, which is absolutely what the NICS system is…regardless of all claims to the contrary.

Protect your rights to the NPA (National Public Armory)!

          • interventor

I have an old .32 caliber revolver with no serial number. Found an old Sears catalog that priced it at $1.50. I’d only shoot the thing if my life depended upon it.

          • kadaka

interventor, some of those old guns might be blackpowder and can’t handle smokeless. But they do sell blackpowder cartridges for Western shooters and others so safe-enough ammo might be available.

Being primitivists with a bad habit of magickal thinking, they also believe that inanimate objects can “compel” people (like their constituency) to do things.

If Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper, were on the loose and killing today as he did from 1975 to 1980, the progressives’ “solution” would be passing a law demanding that everyone turn in all screwdrivers, claw hammers, kitchen knives, and other domestic tools and implements.

The one thing they would not do would be to arrest Sutcliffe, even if they had incontrovertible evidence. Because holding him personally responsible for his actions would fly in the face of their dogmas.

See the “no true Scotsman” fallacy.

Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all week.

      We appreciate the warning

  • James F Gemind

    Hillary is definitely running then?

She beats Gropey Joe for the spot, and a whole lot of democrats are gonna vote for President Donald J Trump. Only promise he’ll need to make is to have her arrested and charge with election tampering…

    • eon

She is still determined to be Queen. And nobody better get between her and The Preciousss this time.

After the Democratic “field” fratricides, she will no doubt pull a repeat of her 2016 maneuver at the convention. Offering herself as a “unity” candidate. with the unspoken threat of “This is your last chance; vote against me this time and you die.”

Of course, since the most likely outcome of her being POTUS would be an automatic, no-trial death penalty for all legal gun owners, the legalization of “honor killing” (of anybody who disses her), and the nuking of Israel plus most cities in Flyover Country “just because”, it’s rather difficult to discern how voting for her would somehow be less hazardous than not doing so.

Maybe, but then again a whole lotta “R”s would follow the Beast straight to where you know it’s going and trying to take us with it. May it die in that pursuit…poetic justice in the guise of the first arkansuicide.

    • Old Codger

“She beats Gropey Joe for the spot, and a whole lot of democrats are gonna vote for President Donald J Trump.”

I disagree. I believe that if she makes enough promises of what the far left wants, she will get all of their vote plus all the deaders, doublers and other assorted Dem trick votes.

  • John Block

Damn. Even Skye is tuned in? Democrats are in deeper shite than they know….

  • Too Tall

Are the “Hateful Eight” going to carpool as Mayor Pete Butti-whatever suggested? If so, will the vehicle of choice by a Clown Car or the Short Bus?

    • Bill G

Maybe they’d choose the new coal-powered VW van.

  • NotYetInACamp

Against the Hateful Eight we have: The Magnificent Golden Toad

I suggest a cage match. Nine go in. One comes out the winner.
    No rules.
(The Democrats don’t follow rules anyway. Rules are for others, not Democrats. Reference Alinsky, the Bolsheviks, Stalin, Mao, many others)

    We have our Champion.

    • JTC

MG Toad did that already but the victims then were the R’s in the primaries.

      • NotYetInACamp

I had been thinking about it after writing it. Your valid comment was the idea that bothered me.. Then I saw your comment.

Maybe the answer is letting the Magnificent one into the cage so that he can watch and then pick and choose the Democrats he wants to take out of the match. Doing so from outside the cage is so less fun for him. The Dems will be so afraid of him that they will concentrate on each other for hard shots, and only scream and yell and pose against the President as a form of face saving virtue signaling, that shall fail.
The final Democrat dispatched will be done so personally by TMGT who will leave the losing hulk in a heap by the door as he exits in blazing victory. Such is an enjoyable victory.

Soon to be followed by the sequel: The Hateful Ate Crow

  • Bill G

They hate half the country, and what they think of the rest has to be suppressed if they want any votes at all.

  • Willik

They hate only half the country?
Why give them that much credit?
They hate it all including themselves!

    • Halley

In my personal dealings with “progressives”, I’ve found time and again that there’s nothing they hate – as in white hot murderous hate – more than having their true agenda exposed.

  • Too Tall

There are any number of Socialist “paradises” they could self-deport to, and let those of us who love the United States remain and preserve one of the few functioning republics.

Perhaps (after annihilating at least 75% of the existing government, and government spending, at the federal, state, and local levels) we could make it truly free again.

  • We really need a Federal ID law, and some troops at every voting place to verify it.

    • kadaka

There’s the REAL ID Act setting minimum security standards. By 1 Oct 2020 you’ll need it to fly domestically, already certain access to federal and nuclear facilities is restricted. States are complying on driver licenses and you can use newer passports. But the Proggies don’t like ID period and think it’s more than enough “proof” to show a utility bill you just took out of a mailbox.

Without REAL ID you might be prevented from being on a federal jury or grand jury as that requires restricted access. And that would be soooo disappointing to so many.

H8R’s is more accurate, although they hate I’s, L’s, and even quite a few D’s that are not them.

    From this stupid Seattle piece:

There are an awful lot of black activists tired of educating white people about racism. Every time a person of color is asked to do unpaid emotional labor there is a psychological and physical cost…

Elsewhere I’ve recently seen the reasoning that legal abortion is necessary because otherwise women are compelled to do unpaid “placental labor” or some similar term.

It’s like Progressives, who support forced community service requirements for school graduation besides socialist and communist ideas of service “for the greater good”, have discovered that individual people should be the ones who benefit from their own labor and they can decide what that labor should be and who else will benefit. We are in an interesting time.

    • Doggo

The intent is to bring undecideds to their agenda. The “unpaid labor”, argument resonates with those who don’t want to be considered either racists or slavers, so the Dems are using it out of context to bring more real voters aboard.

Valid observation, but I still maintain that Homo Sapiens is already extinct. Homidae peaked at 1500 cc cranial capacity 40,000 years ago and has been declining ever since. 1250 cc is the modern average.
