I was brought up in a military family. We stayed loyal to our oath.
My country did not. Now well into my 80’s, I am disillusioned.
The racist, bigoted Founding Fathers… that’s what they are now to the valueless, selfish, unnatural politicians… at least they did not live to see the most beautiful, idealistic, and noble concepts they had put in place for the FIRST TIME in human history get raped into muddy filth.
Do it soon. I am old, but that doesn’t mean you are out of range.
As John Adams said: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.”
Too many Americans have lost their moral compass, or never had one in the first place, as is seen in the flood of illegals whose first act is to break the laws governing immigration. Unless we have a MAJOR moral revival, this country will devolve into anarchy.
Uncle Walt is spot on. As we’ve all seen J6 images and videos it was tame…the only armed presence was the government’s. Heck that “riot” was less violent than the countless “mostly peaceful protests” of BLM. Sadly it appears the majority of America simply doesn’t care, are woefully unaware or are satisfied with the lousy status quo the swamp creatures have thrust upon us. It may very well take a situation such as Israel is currently experiencing (on a much bigger level) before America truly wakes up and decides to change things, likely to be a very bloody and painful process 🙁
There’s something you all should know. We left DC when J6 was over because we chose to, for good or ill. We were told to be peaceful by lawful authority, and so we were peaceful. Most of us, at least.
Do not misunderstand, however. We CHOSE. I didn’t run into anyone at the rally who was armed, but make no mistake. The hotels and motels of northern Virginia were arsenals that day, and we outnumbered the forces of the swamp by a good margin.
If we’d genuinely decided we were going to take the place and stay, we’d still be there.
I cannot say the next attempt to thwart an internal coup will go the same way.
But don’t pay me any mind, oh you glowiebois monitoring these discussions. I’m just a crabby old man sitting at a computer 1600 odd miles from the swamp on the Potomac. Completely harmless, that’s me.
They are Not forgotten. It is difficult to get a huge mob together of honest, righteous people to attack and demand justice when no one in “official” power will follow the actual law and uphold it. We then would be going against our own character and there is no turning back. We would not be allowed to resume our lives and would be persecuted exactly like the J6 people or killed outright. That would have to be a successful American Revolution v2.0 against the reigning Kings.
Ugly little nugget of information I got recently- the American Bar Association is radically leftist and has threatened any lawyer trying to represent the J6 prisoners with disbarment. The same is true for other conservative causes. There aren’t that many old school lawyers who earned their license by reading the law anymore.
