You can always spot a would-be tyrant, of any stripe. They consider themselves invaluable and everybody else expendable.
Tampon Timmie is a case in point.
Knowing what we now do, it’s frightening how close Nikita Jr. came to being one heartbeat away from the Oval Office.
With the consequences of first the Clintons, then The One, and then Slow Joe culminating with Kacklin’ Kammie, we were that close to being in a real-life version of Come Nineveh, Come Tyre by Allen Drury.
There were at least five guys wrestling with him. At some point it looks like one of them managed to get the gun and turn away from the scrum, but Pretti kept fighting and may not have known his pistol was gone.
In that case he may have either reached for his holster or tried to take an agent’s gun, causing another agent who did not know he had been disarmed to draw and fire.
It is never good to draw conclusions from confusions until all the facts are known.
But your analysis, Chris, does describe the anti-Ice and TDS mindset perfectly.
It’s my understanding from a statement made by the president of the CBP union that the primary shooter (there were 2 that fired) is not only a firearms instructor for CBP, but a use of force instructor as well. If anyone knew when to use lethal force and when not to, he did. Don’t let the lame stream media’s chants of untrained LEOs go unchallenged.
Instead of declaring he was a licensed CC to law enforcement at the beginning of ANY encounter with them, he chose to keep the knowledge hidden and declare himself a protester by using his camera. Me personally, I empty the mag before I quit pulling the trigger.
I think Pretti was a good guy who made a really bad choice (to be in a place where schitz gonna happen), and was a victim of the situation. I think the shot that started the whole thing was his own pistol in someone else’s hands. (Just a guess)
Easiest way to avoid being shot: Don’t be in a place where chaos happens (situational awareness) or leave promptly when you see it about to start.
The best gunfight is the one that doesn’t happen. I’m certain the officer involved believes that, well 99% sure.
Exercising a right involves risk, and requires responsibility. If he had not been carrying a firearm, he has every right to, would this have happened? Who did he think was going to be a lethal threat?
THEY say the truth “We expected this to happen.” every time, and THEY are hoping for it.
Trump could rename the agency to National Immigration and Customs Enforcement…then watch the media have to refer to them as the NICE Agents 🙂
As for untrained LEO’s…what kind of training did all those IRS agents have for the huge quantiies of weapons and ammunition they apparently ‘needed’ to collect taxes ?
They need to conduct daily briefings on the kind of criminals they have apprehended. Names, mugshots, records, all the gory details plastered across all the media! Show the public the kind of THINGS the Auto-Pen allowed to overrun the country.
One of the major tenets of the Democratic Party is that the public has a short memory, so Lie, Lie, Lie is the key to obtaining and holding power.
They are “goal oriented” for a reason. Their minions can always be distracted by the Next Big Thing so actual performance in office is not just secondary, it’s tertiary. In fact, for them, actually solving problems is an impediment to reelection.
Traditionally, and now again, republicans (and I use that small r deliberately) are systems oriented for just that reason. They actually have a memory and know about the flaws of human nature that make failure to perform so pervasive.

Those ‘expendables’ were called “useful idiots” by Lenin for a good reason. It still holds true.

Zar Belk!
Gee, why have we stopped talking about the complete corruption of multiple State governments including MN?
