    Safest travels, shipmate.
More apps to screw people anonymously. No more face-to-face, no more personal contact, just drop a roll of dimes and let it sh*t the bed on whoever the poor SOB is who gets doxxed. Just what we need…more laws on the books to protect people who otherwise might live happily ever after. Be careful of AWFLs. They are predatory even when in hibernation.
The road calls. The Cape is a nice place to call home.

Yankees swarmed Florida had to sell my house after they gentrified my hometown. Briefly in Mexico, then New Mexico, recovering financially. Now going back on my ‘Revenge Tour’. Arrrrrr

Been a while since I lived there (Over 65 years.) but I remember the gulf coast, up around Cedar Key nice and crowdless. I grew up in south Dade County when it was nice and crowdless.

BTW, moved to Alaska in ’64 so my kids could grow up in an environment much like where/when I was raised in Florida.

They smoke world-class chiles, run a working spaceport and a Very Large Scale Array of radio telescopes, and they have a whole town devoted to pie.
        Mmmmmm, pie. Pie is good.

Wow, don’t know how you can keep up the pace at this place while doing a cross-country run? Hell I thought you were back already! Where is the new home place, near the original one or somewhere else in The Fla!

So. You talking about New York Dem type Yankees? Or us farmer/rancher type Red Necks that are identical to ones down here? Former Frozen Tundra.

“Yankees” are the type of northerner who comes down south, then immediately proceeds to complain about how much better everything was up north and insist that *we* need to change our ways to suit *him.*

“Damn Yankees” are an invasive subspecies of Yankee that comes south and decides to *stay*, while still complaining about how much better everything was up north and demanding that we should change our ways to suit him.

It’s not the geographical location they come from, so much as it is the *attitude* they have.

Aye … to your ‘Tea Time’ up above. Time to brew some Darjeeling. Used to spend ‘off season’ in Mexico Beach before Nature wiped it out, glad I didn’t buy there. Have a good trip ‘home’ Chris, looking forward to the year ahead.

Well I’ll be! I thought an authentic Yankee was from east of the Berkshire Hills (i.e., far western Massachusetts). The New York baseballers appropriated the name, but they’re not real Yankees.
(I myself am a Montanan. The Big Sky is still good, other than the parts that have been Californicated — Missoula, Bozeman, and some enclaves near the tonier ski towns.)
