    He is very polite.

He knows that swamp residents prefer to not stir the waters.
A Senator shall not degrade or attack another Senator.

He had such great promise. He has done a few things right. (My Mama taught me to find the good in everyone.)

He might be getting much of immigration correct, but we have to see how congress and the US Supreme court back him up and guide him in the future with laws and interpretation of laws.

Tell you Congress Critter what laws you want.

Full disclosure: I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Jeff Sessions some years ago, if only very briefly and under courtesies. My impression was a man of great integrity, intelligence and sincerity. It did not surprise me that he was the first from DC to endorse and campaign for President Trump. But yes, it has been most disconcerting that none of the top-level Democrat criminals have been indicted or prosecuted yet, and I imagine countless Deplorables are more than uncomfortable about this. My gut feeling is that PDT and AG are fully aware of the situation, but are waiting till the time is right and all the chess pieces are better in place.

I do hope you are correct in that they are simply setting up the checkmate, and that it be done before the other side sets theirs.

    • October 5, 2017 at 2:22 pm

I can’t see how a man of ‘man of great integrity, intelligence and sincerity’ could support civil forfeiture which is simply theft.

    Speaking of swamp rats:
“Yesterday, the US House of Representatives took a moment of silence to remember the victims of the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Well, all of the Republican members did, and most of the Democrats. Those who were more interested in honoring the dead than making a political point, that is. Those who didn’t have their priorities straight included Massachusetts representatives Katherine Clark and Seth Moulton.”

You idiots want 4 more years of Trump? This is how you get four more years of Trump. 🙂

Just think…Trump reelected in 2020….That means he doesn’t have to worry about what the hell the swamp thinks… And if we clear out the squishy bottom feeders in the Senate? Oh, it will be ON motherf–ers….

I think Trump has literally driven the left over the edge to full fledged lunacy–WHICH THEY ARE HAPPY TO DISPLAY!!

And I for one, encourage their daily displays of lunacy….

The gears of justice grind slowly but when operated in a judicious manner mesh finely. At the moment I suspect that the AG and the President are trying to find the hidden deep state moles in the administrations and apply legal pressure on them to cough up the slime from the swamp. I wonder how many secret investigations are really going on? The Russia thing is just a carny show for the prog left to feast on. Bread and Circuses for them to occupy their time and minds. If we are still at this same point in a year then the AG is part of the swamp but Mr. Sessions is an honorable and humble man (sort of like Truman) who doesn’t cotton to misuse of the public trust.

To be thorough the AG is going to have to get the goods on the Enablers in the legislature. This will prevent the perps from slipping their chains (mostly). No dragnet is perfect, but there is nothing to prevent a re-drag at a later time.

Jeff Sessions is the perfect divining rod for identifying which Republicans actually respect the Constitution and which ones view it as something to be referred to only when convenient.

I felt and voiced a strong distrust and dislike of this smarmy, beady-eyed little troll from his first appearance as a national figure. Not so much on his record but just a gut feeling that I came to call pawn-dar over the years…you do develop an innate sense of others’ character and veracity doing that gig for forty years.

Learning more over time, my initial reaction was confirmed by his focus on his personal agendas, the miserably and catastrophically failed WOSD and on warrantless seizure…things that DT has not supported or prioritized.

Yes he has pursued the highest profile (and most critical) of Trump’s platform planks, immigration and deportation. But even that has languished recently and other top priority efforts that could help limit the effect of the obstructionism of the swamp people have not progressed that I can see. I do think Trump is aware and on top of him and his efficacy and it may be that there is much we do not know. But potus does need to redirect the efforts wasted on Sessions’ pet issues and double down on what is not just important but critical to advancing the game plan that we approved when we put him in charge. And if not he needs to once again do what he has not been shy of doing in saying You’re Fired! and replacing a non-performer with one more tuned into the most critical tasks at hand, then get it done sooner rather than later.

As another poster noted, it is impossible to reconcile all the attributions to Sessions of integrity, honor, faithfulness to the Constitution, etc. with his wholehearted embrace of Civil Asset Forfeiture.

It is a legal, Constitutional, moral and ethical obscenity, which has metastasized throughout our LEO and judicial institutions, and has ruined and destroyed thousands of lives.

I don’t care how piously Sessions preens and poses, or whatever acclaim and reputation the rest of the corrupt Establishment accords him, he is NOT one of the good guys.

Interesting, I don’t remember the Lame Stream media asking for this when the Anointed Enlightened One was President. I mean, did any of these assholes ask employees of the IRS to leak about denying Tea Party groups tax exempt status or ATF to leak about Fast and Furious or the FBI to leak about illegally wiretapping American citizens??

GodD**n it’s like they don’t even care that we know they are ALL IN to destroy Trump.

“If you work in a federal agency and see something you find weird or funny or amiss, we’d like to hear from you. Send us any documents, tips or other observations about what’s going on. We promise to keep your identity secret. ”

Patriotic Americans inside our government have been using people and places like Alex Jones on Infowars, and Brietbart to get information to the people about what the bad people in the deep state and the globalists were and are up to. we are fortunate those people let their analysis’ and information out. Some in the CIA even sent information to Wikileaks. Meanwhile, the Clintons and globalists in government were selling the USA for peanuts to global interests.
I do hope President Trump, AG Sessions, and other good Americans succeed in what needs to be done in draining the swamp and rebooting the good America.

By the way the NRA cave is why I told their caller last week to go pound sand and the horse he rode in on. The actions of madman doesn’t give the Fed.Gov license to take my rights on anything. The 2nd Amendment is to allow The People to shoot a tyrant in the face. The Big D should just be silent on this and let the chattering classes talk themselves out. Don’t play the game by their rules, its time for another covefe tweet.

Bush II should roast in Hades for signing the Homeland Security Act after 9/11. It only put the erosion of our privacy rights into overdrive.

To me NRA’s statement means they’ve already talked with Trump. They, he, and we know a “ban” on what is nothing more than a printable piece of plastic and a spring is unenforceable and just means they won’t be mass-produced and sold as what they are.

That’s a fine trade for fast-tracking what is already defacto approved and acknowledged as beneficial and inevitable, mufflers and reciprocity. Let the admin and nra jump on this pre-emptively and catch the other side flat-footed. They’ll crow about what a big win it is for them and how they faced down potus and nra before they figure out they’ve been had, again, by the artist of the deal…then let them try to figure out enactment and enforcement.
