Ok fellow DBD fans. Time to dig deep. Check under the couch cushions, Look in the dish you empty your pockets into. Ladies, search those handbags. Gotta be some extra change somewhere. Help keep DBD going for another year (then budget for next year).
Talked to CM by phone for an hour the other day, this was the takeaway:
Core viewership getting old like me with commensurate old folks poverty.
BUT new blood is coming in, and as we approach the end of the drive, they and old blood will step up and they are stepping up.
And between that, The Man creating a new budget, and Social Security kicking in (call it welfare and it is but no other iterations that I know of pay for it in advance)
And the new products are coming in hard and fast, so we good y’all, still kick in whatever you still can and as somebody said, start planning ahead for the next push, but, WE GOOD!
No cool like the old cool!
I’m still going to lobby for the pooling of “extra” bumps to get some of our female patrons on some nose art (with their permission of course) 😉
Let’s keep recruiting young pups, they get to jump in after a huge advance in the sophistication of DBD over the years. It’s almost unbelievable to think back to Sam, Jan, Damon, and Zed being the only characters. This is truly “The house that Chris built!”
