    Beta,

Reality is hard. But it is a lot harder when you are brain dead.

On another topic, (forgive me, all y’all) did I miss something about Gov. Abbott? I thought he was strongly conservative, yet some commenters have no use for him.

Gov. Abbott appears typical of a category of conservative leader called controlled opposition. They make great promises and speeches, but somehow never actually deliver on anything that would truly harm their hidden progressive controllers.

Other than Operation Lone Star, pushing for unlicensed carry, and bussing folks to sanctuaries?

So, another RINO, huh? Got it. Unfortunately, I live behind enemy lines in the PDRK, so I don’t know that much about Texas politics.

My sister lives in Texas, and she can’t stand Abbott, but for the wrong reason. She’s a dyed in the wool, Kool-aid drinking progressive. She said that Newsom was a fantastic governor, and I said that I wanted to put him down like a rabid dog.

Abbott sent the Texas NG to the border – not to force back the thousands of daily invaders, but to help them be more comfortable.

Gov Abbott occasionally speaks conservative words… typically around election times… but did you notice how much help Abbott was in getting border wall built while Trump was in office? About as useful as teats on a bull…

There’s a saying in the patriotic parts of Texas- – – -“All hat and no cattle!” Governor Hot Wheels sort of qualifies for that description.

“Have you any idea how much that would cost?” Well, yes. Ah, rather, “Well, yes, dipshit!” We’re the ones who do pay the cost of laws and corporate regulations that do nothing but let the propagators feel good about themselves. Laws such as this would be an attempt to make the people who called the tune reimburse the people who payed the piper.

You’ve just hit on one major factor in Trump’s “best numbers of our lives” production.
The Regulative State is a giant overwhelming mass of parasites and their waste.
Thomas Sowell pointed out that his great awakening from the socialist sleep-walk came from the realization that bureaucrats always seek to perpetuate their jobs at the expense of everything else, including, or perhaps especially, the results they were hired to produce.
From what I can tell the only solution to this is to A) Make every government function a task oriented contract subject to performance criteria mandated in the contract, or B) terminate said contract at a designated time with the contractor _forbidden_ to renew. In other words you get the job done or find someone else to do it.

One very credible analysis is that the white guy isn’t really leading 2-1 — the two black candidates split the black vote. Once there’s only one of each on the ballot, the distribution may swing back drastically.

And that is but one aspect of damages done to Americans by these Fabian Socialist intellectual descendants that have, through great time and effort, obtained a form of titular false and unconstitutional control of the white house and of many other power areas in the nation. They have imposed their totalitarianism in many forms in a way that may eventually conform to the coming, as many say and work for, world technocracy and as looked at by such as those in the World Economic Forum.
To them all of us are expendable and only useful as long as we produce for them.

So if people who were hurt because they couldn’t carry guns in a shoot out can sue for damages because of laws limiting guns, does that also mean those who were hurt or lost loved ones can sue because of lax laws that allowed people who should not have been allowed to have guns in the first place to be able to commit these crimes?
