Isn’t it time for America to be more efficient? Does anybody give a damn anymore about COVID 1 through 18? No, they don’t. So just say COVID. Or better yet, WuFlu.

It’s Covid 19 because it was discovered in 2019, not because it had 18 predecessors.

Seriously, what are We, the People, supposed to do to put justice to these multitude of miscreants? When the governmental justice is so broken that even Stevie Wonder can see it, is it time for The Citizens to take vigilante action?
Tar and feathers used to be quite an effective deterrent.
    Ditto for the stocks.
And the repeat offenders against social order eventually reached the point where they would get themselves “hung by the neck until dead, dead, dead”.
Is it now time to form “Citizens’ Committees” and kidnap the worst perpetrators to be able to administrator justice?

    • Old Codger

[W]hat are We, the People, supposed to do to put justice to these multitude of miscreants?

Sadly, {sigh} short of “taking the law into our own hands”, and instituting a reign of vigilante ,i>justice, there is nothing we CAN do. Only an idiot would expect the nomenklatura to police itself. Face it,friends and neighbors, the system is well and truly FUBAR and We, the People are unquestionably screwed, blued and tattooed. It was inevitable. It is merely entropy in action. You understand entropy, don’t you? In plain language, entropy is the process whereby, ultimately, everything – AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING – turns to shit. From the prospective of entropy, allwe are is just so much walking worm shit.

I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

I went to the election poles and Trump is behind that communist biden. Even on FOX. WTF is going on has the American public gone crazy?

    • Old Codger

Used to be, polls were a tool to gauge/measure public opinion. These days they’re pretty much dedicated to shaping it. I’ve been on the receiving end of numerous phone based polls. All were unambiguously structured towards returning a predefined result. One controls the results of a poll by 1) carefully crafting the questions asked and 2) crafting/limiting the responses. Then, if all else fails, you simply cook the books to reflect the desired result. Ever noticed how no one outside the poling organization ever gets to examine either the questions/possible responses or raw data?

Oh, and you’re entirely welcome to call me a cynic. I consider cynicism to be survival-positive in today’s world.

      • steveb919

        Thank You for the explanation.

      • interventor

One may find some of the basics for polls, such as party affiliation, sex, etc. Most tend to over poll Democrats. No surprise, there.

    • Norm

Just remember, Hillary was so far ahead in the POLLS that she was a 90% shoo-in.

A ray of hope, or reality, breaking through the spin world of fake news.

      https://conservativebrief.com/election-reversal-announcement-trump-loves-it-25681/

… The polls have never been friendly to President Donald Trump, but we all remember how he won big in 2016 over Hillary Clinton.

However, one of the only polls to accurately predict Trump could win in 2016 is showing the president will defeat Biden in November.

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday, Trump has taken his first national lead against Biden.

The president leads nationally with 47 percent to Biden’s 46 percent.

“While statistically insignificant, it’s the first time Trump has been ahead,” the pollster said.

Four percent of those polled described themselves as undecided, and 3 percent of respondents said they preferred another candidate. …

Justice for all? Not for a long time. And it’s more blatant all the time.

    • Bill G

Open the cage doors, and shut them in. Or else you’ve just acknowledged that the liberal elites are above the laws that we peasants have to obey, and will stay that way.

      • Old Codger

you’ve just acknowledged that the … elites are above the laws that we peasants have to obey

Since when – in all of human history – has it been otherwise? So far as I can see, the biggest difference between our time and afore times is that today the elites no longer bother to pay lip service to the mythical “rule of law”.

        • John

Our Elites have a peculiar bent it seems.
They owe their fealty to Beijing by way of their “friendships”, which explains Orange Man Bad.

    • Old Codger

I was once advised (by a lawyer, mind you) that it is impossible to derive a rigorous definition of the word “justice” (hence lawyers are specialists in the law and NOT justice). Since it is virtually impossible to hit a target that is not clearly defined (and if you DID hit it how could you be sure you had done so?) pursuing justice is a “fool’s errand”! The best one can hope for in any issue before the law is an outcome favorable to them.

Consider the following facts as regards the criminal justice system:
When tried, the defendant is accused by the government.
To be tried the defendant enters a building owned by the government.
The defendant is prosecuted by a lawyer paid by the government.
The case is heard before another lawyer paid by the government.
Over to one side sits an armed law enforcement officer paid by the government.
And, finally, the defendant is represented by a lawyer who, while ostensibly working for the defendant, never the less is licensed by the government.
What part of that sounds even remotely like a recipe for “justice”??? It comes to me that all criminal defendants should be required to enter the courthouse through a door over which is inscribed

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.

      • NotYetInACamp

I forget the numbers, but, I beard it said that of all federal defendants that don’t take a negotiated plea and choose trial, 98% lose.
Great odds of justice there, eh? But we don’t know the facts of that obvious mismatch between the sides.
Ye forgot to say that the government pays all of the cost of the prosecutor to prosecute. And often seizes the assets of the defendant so that he cannot hire his own choice of lawyer. There even are situations where funds allowable by court supervised inquiry and attempted to be seized from the privately hired defense attorney, and even further, that defense attorney is brought up on charges for receiving his fee from what the prosecutor later claimed were tainted funds subject to forfeiture.
        Jolly good time there, compatriots.
And the Federal Public Defender appointed in cases where one is called for due to indigence, possibly because the defendants funds were seized and declared forfeit, those Public Defenders are paid for by the government.
        Bullying.
        Acting with Impunity.

And do we ever get Equity either?

It’s a fine kettle of fish.

And that is how we have such injustice as the choice of a great and honorable man, General Flynn, to choose a plea rather than to totally bankrupt his family and see his wife and children also prosecuted.

  • Halley

If there’s one thing PDT knows about his grassroots support base, it’s that they (we) will not accept mere wrist slaps as legal accountability for a treasonous leftwing coup attempt. Stay strong and steady. Crunch time will arrive, as it must.

  • Precision270

One either addresses cancer by excising it or the metastasis spreads and grows the rot. I am pretty sure we have already seen multiple metz. In the cancer world, once there is metz, you will die from cancer. The question is only how long it will take and that is a function of how aggressive your strain is. Looking behind the news, this is multiple strains and many of them are very aggressive.

If there is going to be slaps on the wrist, the slapping needs to be done with a cutlass. Cleaving right through the joint. It likely still won’t be enough…but.

    • Old Codger

Only a fool would expect the nomenklatura to police itself and you do not strike me as one of those. It’s like many years ago when they did an exploratory on one of my Uncles. They took one good look and closed him up. Then they told my Aunt to take him home; make him comfortable and make sure his affairs were in order.

Our society is FUBAR. Accept it. And get your affairs in order.

  • My Way Or --->

Gee, and here I was, hoping that those destructive fools finding their way to dusty death might realize that destruction is not constructive.

They seem to be so eager to follow a path to destruction: arson, and they do it by destroying millions of acres of forest? Yes, they really love Mother Earth, don’t they? I am thousands of miles away from that horror and yet, I get the scent of wood smoke every morning at dawn and every evening at sunset and few things make me angrier than people who set fire to woodlands. They aren’t just burning trees. They are killing off wildlife… and they don’t care.

    They will pay for it.

    • Old Codger

So you read a piece suggesting that the current round of wildfires may have been deliberately set, too. Funny how the same side that produces radical greenie weenies can produce people who would – knowingly and intentionally – SET a forest ablaze.

Killing Evil Human Enemies Of Holy Mother Gaia (TM) is the yearned-for goal.

Failing that, forcing them to move into cities where they can be “controlled”- by mob violence if nothing else.

The burning? “Sacrifices must be made in the name of the Cause”.

Read the Prince Roger novels by John Ringo and David Weber to see how that turns out, paying particular attention to the “Saints” aka the Cavazan Empire.

Overload by Arthur Hailey is good, as well. One of his lesser-known but more trenchant novels.

When Justice is not allowed to prevail, there comes the time that ordinary citizens will have to raise the black flag and begin slitting throats. POTUS has the power to have the DOJ go after these usurpers. I’ve been told that the gears of Justice grind slowly but that they mesh finely. Well we are running out of time.

I see a Trump-appointed judge in Pennsylvania just hit one outta the park…

    https://youtu.be/InCIyID5rkE

Governor’s “stay at home” order is unconstitutional and the judge made very pointed statements about the concept of “creating” and using emergency powers to suppress individual rights and the self-evident intent of government to keep the emergency powers in place regardless of the outcome of the Wuhan virus mitigations.

    • Steve

… and this is after another Pennsylvania judge set million dollar bail on some rioters? What’s got into those judges, and how do we make it contagious?!?

      • NotYetInACamp

The 2016 vote likely got into those judges. If they are Federal Judges, they have all since then been appointed by our President.
The 9th Federal District Appellate Court now has a majority of Constitution following appellate judges serving there. That is a result of voting for Donald Trump to be President in 2016.

  • Roland Deshain

Dante’s punishment for corrupt politicians was in the eighth level of hell….a good soaking in boiling pitch (tar). We are going to need a very large cauldren.
If these people are not brought to justice, they will find a way to usurp the coming election and install Slow Joe as a puppet President and Republicans, no Conservatives, will never win another election.
    They almost succeeded in 2016.

    • JTC

A temporary puppet to be replaced with his vice who will choose her vice -you know who- and then either give the top spot away immediately or else at the next election. And that scenario would spell the end of not just conservatism but of the Republic itself.

Just got some bad news. FEMA is responding to the Hurricane Sally area. That’s gonna royally Fk shit up. They trashed recovery efforts for Ivan in 2004 by redirecting efforts to the “special” areas. They did similar in Central Mississippi in ’94 after a tornado swarm.

Based on a linear regression of repair rates by the local power company… i project restoration in 6 to 9 days. With FEMA interference… I expect an additional two weeks.

  • I’m hoping for many short drop, sudden stop. On TV. I’d PPV to see that.
