Sam can ask me to, any time.

So now we know Travis is T.J. Antell?

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/%e2%80%98he-thought-he-could-help-concealed-carry-gun-wielder-intervenes-in-domestic-dispute-and-is-shot-dead/ar-BBsz37g?fullscreen=true#image=1

Not making light of a tragedy, but the resemblance, the initials, even the mil background and protective tendency, all seem to fit our (Chris’s) imaginary friend don’t they?

But there is a lesson here. He tried to help, but now he can’t help anybody, most especially his wife and children. Dumb move intervening in a domestic where the actor had already fired, but was leaving, pretty much a primer in what not to do with your concealed carry weapon. Still, admiration for his courage and prayers for his soul and his family.

Pretty much a primer on the wrong mindset when you carry. If you draw, you need to be ready to do grievous bodily harm. Immediately. You don’t repeat yourself, you don’t fire warning shots, you give a command and failure to comply results in rounds into the target until the target stops being a threat.
The dumb move was NOT intervening in a domestic dispute. It WAS in not shooting the guy the moment he tried to exit the vehicle without his empty hands clearly in the air and in compliance with commands.

      • May 4, 2016 at 10:20 am

Wrong. He did not intervene, the damage was done and he attempted to stop the perp who was in a vehicle and LEAVING. It becomes at that point a job for the uniforms and badges that you pay for the purpose.

Read the story before you critique, and if you then still believe it is your place as a concealed carrier to play cop when there is NO active and immediate threat to you, yours, and whoever your sheepdog mentality is telling you to “protect”, then you have no idea of what the correct “mindset” for concealed carry and deadly intervention is.

      yup!

      • May 3, 2016 at 10:55 pm

Hey Chris, remember the old Amazing Stories episode “The Mission”? WWII belly gunner is trapped in his turret and doomed, but he’s a talented cartoonist with a lot of faith and belief and his drawing comes true to save him. Cornball? Well, yeah.

But man, a Muir masterpiece grand opening at the DDQ wherein DT comes to a familiar and welcoming place and TC comes “home” to meet up over good Q and cold beer and make the deal of the century to save the world?

Draw it, and they will come.

Unlikely. The GOPe is so invested in the status quo that they’ll back Hillary. And Cruz will bark as his masters bid him.

All will expect nice Milk-Bones from her when she’s in the Oval Office.

They’ll be lucky not to be sent to the pound to be put to sleep. Herself lives mainly to destroy.

And no one should expect gratitude, or even rationality, from Lady MacBeth.

The GOPe is so invested in the status quo that they’ll back Hillary.

It’s obvious that’s been going on since their ignernt party proles chose The Donald over their designated loser. They are horrified that everything they’ve said and one has made him stronger. I actually hope they continue to dis the D because their support is proven poison.

Is it too late for a “deal” to be done by the artist of them? The vitriole of late, including today, would indicate it is. But is Ted’s withdrawal an indication that something is going on? Vice? Scotus? I hope that is the case, because those two as a team might truly be the only hope of slaying that dragon beast and the evil empire she represents on both sides of the aisle.

And that is the optimistic view. Here in Colorado, we have seen the Republican Party deliberately throw elections for governor and US Senate, because TEA Party candidates won the nomination. We saw Thad Cochran. We have seen the Party attack anyone who would oppose the Democrats. The GOPe is just the farm team for collectivists.

Trump can win. But everyone has to understand that it means fighting the Democrats, the Democrat-controlled media, and the Republicans. It means going over their heads to the American people. And there is no point in trying to mend fences with the #NeverTrump people. I believe them. They will oppose Trump, and his supporters, before the election, during the general if he gets the nomination, and in everything that he does if he becomes president, foreign or domestic. It is what it is.

Trump already praised Cruz for his campaign and said he had a “strong future” ahead for him. Cruz didn’t even mention Trump in his concession speech.

Meanwhile, Hillary lost to Sanders in Indiana. So Trump is the presumptive nominee, but Hillary still has to campaign against Sanders while fielding fire from Trump.

Hate crime hoaxes. . ? Yep, so many lately that I have to look through several pants pockets to find where I left my give-a-shit.
A recent one was the anti-Trump protester (in Kalifornication, I believe), that, as he was being led away by the po-po, was sucker punched by a Trump supporter (not that he didn’t deserve it). He later went on camera and made all kinds of wild claims about multiple hate mongers (must have been talking about himself) ganging up on him and beating him within an inch of his life. Meanwhile he’s standing there, not a mark on him, not in a hospital room, and the security camera replay shows the truth.

Just read another more recent one on iotwreport dot com, a young lady claims that as she was walking down the street, a male Republican (how did she know his politics?) jumped out of a car and gave her a black eye, which she proudly displays to the camera. Problem is, the mark is too small and even, and there’s no swelling. None. So everybody non-Libtard is calling BS on this.

The loss to the individuals and as couples, and to society, of all of the brainwashing that women and men have been subjected to that they ‘need’ to be victims, and cannot have a beautiful (and powerful) relationship as a woman or as a man, respectively, and as couples. Empowerment is not part of modern education. Victim-hood is. The loss across the spectrum of society is sad. I have known too many women who have followed the path they were taught in their “best” schools. So many of them have woken up, possibly too late, to what it is they really want, and what it is that they needed to be taught when they were younger, and they were taught only that which made them fit the progressive destructive loser patter. Some got out. Some are now into better relationships with men. So many were crushed at realizing what the schools did to them and what society taught them was so wrong and that it would never lead them to being what they really wanted to be. It cost me personally by having an interest in some of them who never could see then what I was saying or doing and interpreted it all through their brainwashing.
But, tomorrow is another day. Fiddlee-dee.

I also have seen hate crime hoaxes being committed, but that is another matter.

Some friends that have opinions I pray to God that they are incorrect.
I pray to God that Donald J Trump is the man that I evaluate him from a distance to be.
Finally Americans of all types can be good Americans in society again. There is so much work top do to unwind the shackles on all of society that has to be done. Just unwinding the useless regulations that have shackled the economy in over 2 trillion dollars a year of removed productivity is an enormous task. The government had chosen to buy all of that regulation cost and bill it to the people, often by the the 9 trillion dollar plus debt increase during this fundamentally transformation and destruction of the USA and its empire regime.

No matter what happens, we still are in deep doodoo. Our hope is that we may now have a path out.

Remember the good in the past that Glenn Beck and Ted Cruz have done. They may still have the opportunity to do some good in the future, even if we must remember who they are part of now. Forgiveness is possible. That does not mean forgetting.

Sam is the woman that every man dreams of. The Donald is probably our one hope for the return of The American Dream. Ted would be righteous as either VP or SCOTUS. Did I miss anything?

I see comments about Lyin’ Ted for VP or SCOTUS.

Too many flat-out lies. <– Not that he said them, but because he is clearly too stupid to realize he will get caught every time doing it.

Next: Anybody here note the promise from Cruz to support the Repub nominee?

Reward for non-support: He will NOT get re-elected in Texas. That's a given. He will fade away, much like "The Last Hurrah".

And good riddance, I say. He utterly lost me cheating in Colorado, buying delegates openly, and slipping money to a delegate ON VIDEO. We do NOT need this POS in SCOTUS, most ricky-tick.

I disagree. My opinion is T. C. is a upstanding man. Even though I am a Trump supporter.

    • May 4, 2016 at 1:46 pm

Further disagreement. Chalk up the delegate shenanigans to desperate politics and bad advice, same for the weird veep pick and a lot of the mouth-running. The one exception that bothered me greatly was him saying after the paid thuggery in Chitown that sometimes words justify violence, a Constitutional fail that shocked me and caused me to stop promoting my private Trump/Cruz ’16 and Cruz/? ’20-’24 campaign.

Still, these two are the best of the lot we have available; both together don’t add up to a Reagan, and maybe nothing could. But if a deal can be done that could save the Republic, the Trump/Cruz ticket would be our best bet to slay the beast. Even though going forward Cruz could arguably do more good and be best suited for Scotus where his lack of charisma and grating persona would be less of a factor than it is in doing the political face to face, winning the general election has to come first.

Is there precedent for a veep going to scotus? I don’t know but it’s a thought worth considering.

The Battle of The Coral Sea was going on at this time in 1942.
This was the first battle fought purely by carrier born aircraft against opposing forces. The carrier launched aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy and of the US Navy fought against each others forces.
The Japanese were stopped at the cost of the carrier USS Lexington and the retiring of the carrier USS Yorktown to Hawaii for repairs. The main japanese carrier retired to Japan, also with major damages.
The later Battle of Midway was foreshadowed by this strategic victory.

We must engage the enemy. We have what seems will be a great leader. This is a different war than in 1942 and non violent victory is called for, if possible. The opposition seems set on overturning the chess board if they must.

Actually the Battles of Coral Sea and Midway were over 3 years earlier than when the “Indy” was sunk. These naval victories just stopped the Japanese expansion in the Pacific. It still took 3 more years of slogging amphibious invasions and two nuclear weapons to convince the Japanese that they had lost.

By the way the Nick Gage movie “Indianapolis” has wrapped up shooting in the gulf, it should be out soon, check IMDB.

Also as an observation, three April blunders sunk Ted:

        1) The Deal the J. K.

        2) Fiorina pick

        3) Going all in in an open primary state.

        Early year blunders:

        1) Not controlling his Dad calling him the second coming

        2) Picking fights with Drudge, Breitbart, Fox et al.

        3) Embracing Glen

        4) Not staying on message about the rational mans choice and not alienating the emotional mans.

        5) Not clarifying the NY values was the values of Tammany Hall that still control NY politics to the detriment of regular New Yorkers.

        6) Too much family values, these were already gotten votes. Needed to persuade the Truman/Kennedy class Democrats that his message was for them also. The Progs may own the leadership of the DNC but they don’t speak for the masses.
