I don’t know if we’re lucky that our generational monsters chose nonviolent methods of destroying mankind instead of bombs and tanks. Gates, Soros, Schwab, Blair, and others… adrenochrome will only take them so far.

So, did Gates get a pre-emptive pardon? Because this is murder.

The bigger question is, “Are Pre-Emptive Pardons Constitutional”? So far, the courts say they aren’t.
I couldn’t contain myself if Biden, trying to shield these criminals, inadvertently condemned them all. They were chuckling to themselves, thinking they were safe, only to find themselves stripped naked and standing in the middle of the arena.

Metro DC Police Officer Byrd best hope they are, or he is going to get the Needle for executing Ashli Babbitt…

For those wondering, while Prosecutors are currently restricted from targeting Byrd for Criminal charges(Which would have included putting fellow officers in danger, by firing at Babbitt with Officers literally behind her), the Pardon does not protect him from a Civil Liability/wrongful death trial. Also the DCMPD. Trial is expected to begin ‘soon’…

I suspect that if we ever find out the full details, it will be so much like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six that most people will never believe it.

Eon, I can’t disagree, but that made me shiver.

And how much of Klandron of Onlo’s shenanigans in Second Stage Lensmen and Children of the Lens have we watched come true – or Gharlane of Eddore’s? Without, mind you, the perpetrators being eldrich abominations… one hopes.

Clancy, Smith and Heinlein. Three true visionaries who saw what was coming. First Lensman has a great description of how American elections can be manipulated.

We’re also “deep into” Biblical prophecy. Romans 1:28-32.
“And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”

This quote was my opinion of politics prior to this current term of Trump. Now I have a glimmer of hope.

I agree, Eon, with all that Jim, Larryarnold, and TooTall also. “Crazy Years”, “Rainbow 6”. “Lensman” Too. I add that in Star Wars, the Empire still has a deep hold. I forgot where the Star Wars strips where Hilary was buzzing the White House. Aside, I’m still in shock at the aviation crashes last week. More problems in nooks and crannies than Thomas’s English Muffins. It’s gonna be a long, hard climb out of the path of the Black Hole we almost got sucked into. ” ALL BACK FULL!”

        Thanks, guys.

I still maintain that the depths of human evil and depravity can only truly be plumbed by people with power. Cross that with self-righteousness, and they have no reason not to become monsters. Think Cmdr. Gary Mitchell (Gary Lockwood) in “Where No Man Has Gone Before”.

        Eon’s Laws

        Third Law

Hunter S. Thompson once observed that “entire empires have been done in by vengeful freaks claiming a special relationship with God”.

He forgot the even greater number of polities destroyed by even more vengeful freaks who believed that they, themselves, were God.

You can’t help but wonder if politicians in general, and the lefties in particular, are avid readers of speculative fictions like this and see them not as entertainment but rather as instructional manuals, and the people have been conditioned by novels and movies to think that this is the normal function of gov’t so they don’t rise up against it…or worse, they listen to the paid for media telling them which lines in the sequel are theirs and then follow the script to the letter…

Meanwhile, sockboy is doubling down on stupid…he’ll do what a good neighbour should do, eventually, but not before a lot of people end up paying a tax he put on, not Trump, and the media has a chance to prop the liebrals up as the ‘saviours of Canada’ so they don’t lose their cash bribes under a different gov’t.

“We’ll put a tariff on American beer, that’ll fix ’em”
Nevermind that virtually all ‘American’ beer sold in canada is brewed here and most ‘Canadian’ brands are owned by US companies and any boycott of American productsd only hurts the Canadian companies importing and selling them…we don’t have our own manufacturing capacity since successive liebral governments deliberately undercut the smaller ones and then forced them out of business for good during ‘covid’.

      Here’s another newsflash for them…
The Canadian orange farmers aren’t going to be able to counter the 25% tax on US imported orange juice either.
Funny how the ‘retaliative tariffs’ aren’t on the same things the US put theirs on, but instead on things we don’t get from anywhere else and don’t or can’t make here.

A couple of years ago, I learn a bit of U.S. history I was never told about. The ‘Bonus Army’.

“Many of the war veterans had been out of work since the beginning of the Great Depression. The World War Adjusted Compensation Act of 1924 had awarded them bonuses in the form of certificates they could not redeem until 1945. Each certificate, issued to a qualified veteran soldier, bore a face value equal to the soldier’s promised payment with compound interest. The principal demand of the Bonus Army was the immediate cash payment of their certificates.

On July 28, 1932, U.S. Attorney General William D. Mitchell ordered the veterans removed from all government property. Washington police met with resistance, shot at the protestors, and two veterans were wounded and later died. President Herbert Hoover then ordered the U.S. Army to clear the marchers’ campsite. Army Chief of Staff General Douglas MacArthur commanded a contingent of infantry and cavalry, supported by six tanks. The Bonus Army marchers with their wives and children were driven out, and their shelters and belongings burned.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonus_Army

“During the military operation, Major Dwight D. Eisenhower, served as one of MacArthur’s junior aides. Believing it wrong for the Army’s highest-ranking officer to lead an action against fellow American war veterans, he strongly advised MacArthur against taking any public role: ‘I told that dumb son-of-a-bitch not to go down there,’ he said later. ‘I told him it was no place for the Chief of Staff.’ Despite his misgivings, Eisenhower wrote the Army’s official incident report that endorsed MacArthur’s conduct.”

Part of MacArthur’s force included the 3rd Calvary Regiment, led by then major George S. Patton.

Supposedly, President Hoover had ordered MacArthur to stand down, but MacArthur ignored, or was not given, the order.
