Speaking of influential women – Lucianne Goldberg has just passed. Her Lucianne.com has been one of the few reliable GO TO news sites for 25 years, and will continue to be. She will be missed.
Been a follower of the Lucianne.com newsite for over 25 years. Found it very reliable and balanced. Left more than a few comments. I hope her legacy continues to uphold the standard she set.
With the homeschooling reference, can’t resist posting this account that my (late) wife posted ten years ago on fecebook (he was a ballet dancer — started taking classes at age 7 — I always remember his male teacher talking about getting teased in high school and his retort, telling his friends, “you guys go out on the field and tackle each other — I’m going into the gym with twenty beautiful girls to hold, twirl, lift and whatever else, so have fun, guys, I’ll try and do the same”). Anyway this story:

When my son Gawain turned 13, we had about a dozen of his fellow dance classmates (his age or a year younger) over for a bit of a party at our house.
Two of them gave him a combined gift. There was a card attached. He read it, laughed, and said, “Happy B-Day. For a minute I thought it said, Happy D-Day.”
Chorus of party guests: “What’s D-Day?”
Gawain: “You know, when the Allies invaded Normandy during World War II.”
None of them had heard of D-Day, and I do not think half of them had heard of World War II.
Gawain opened the gift to which the card had been attached. It contained a T-shirt with a sewn-on word. He sounded it out. “A-ber-crom-bie. What’s Abercrombie?”
Chorus of party guests: “You don’t know what ABERCROMBIE is?
Pelosi prob became the woman she was after being a private guest of JFK when she was 13.
The image of her face, a soul filled with fear and betrayal. All after has been revenge me thinks.
You can still find the images on internet I believe.
Look up jfk girls too, the very young WH guests that spent time there. Overnight too it seems.
