Ringo’s fourth Black Tide Rising novel, Strands of Sorrow, seems eerily prescient now.

I’m now wondering when the gangs- or maybe Mayor Bowser and her feral pack- are going to grab hostages, fort up in DCA’s underground, and start making “demands”.

I think the scenario is already priced into PDJT’s current and future activities here.

He made the mistake once of believing his opposition was honorable and that his supporters were loyal. He is not making that mistake again.

Is he a fan and follower of Ringo’s future casts? I dunno, I think more likely the book(s) will end up seeming tame compared to Trump’s -and our- reality.

I couldn’t get into that series, but The Last Centurion was very prescient.

Colonel Kratman has two books and a series that is worth comparing to the current situation Caliphate is one, State of Disobedience the second, and his Carreraverse series is very eloquent when it comes to taking prisoners in Combat. Another Book series is Michael C. Williamson’s Freehold series, and yes, Ringo’s The Last Centurion was written in 2008, and the parallels to certain events just seven years later, were enough for a lot of the Folk in Baen’s Bar(Baen Publishing Forum) to go full-bore anti-liberal, Anti-DNC/PLD/Antifa.

It is generally agreed that a Civil War like the one in the Movie a couple of years ago, is not likely, yet, but would need that one major spark of a planned assault by twenty or more DNC/PLD idiots that was seen as an Ambush or other form of ‘Military’ Incident.

        https://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2009/05/no-more-free-wacos-explication-of.html

I believe DJT is trying to head this, or something like it, off at the pass.

There would be no Antietams or Gettysburgs in a 4GW civil war. Rather, it would look much more like the Castellammarese War within the Families in 1931.

        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castellammarese_War

Just done more intelligently on the part of the “non-state actors”, and on a national scale.

Avoiding anything like that is highly desirable- except for progressives, who firmly believe that they can win because the bureaucracy and etc. are on “their” side.

I suspect that this is yet another reason for the progressives’ TDS. So far, he hasn’t given them an “inciting incident” to go “Aux Barricades!” over.

ICE activities don’t count; the most they’ll do is link arms for eight miles down High St. In Columbus OH and sing “Kumbaya” a flattened fifth off-key, as they actually did the other day. They won’t chance their arm for people they regard as useful tools (illegals) but otherwise have no interest in.

(The more they talk about someone’s “dignity”, the less they actually care about it; see “death with dignity”.)

it would take something like a Kent State to provide them with an excuse. And so far, the U.S. military is not inclined to provide them with that.

I’m sure the enlightened ones dream of their very own Tiananmen Square-style “demonstration of state power”. Preferably right in DC.

But for that, they’d have to be giving the orders, and right now, they’re not in that position.

        After ’28, ¿Quién sabe?

If it looks like the dems are definitely going to lose a lot of seats in the midterms, expect the deeply embedded quislings permanently laagered up in the bureaucracy to start something that ends up with a lot of innocent people dead, preferably Republican voters, in a ‘blue’ state or states and then blame Trump hoping that turns the rest away from him.

I’d wager there are at least fifty plans being considered and the logistical support being emplaced under the guise of what USAID left behind, if it hasn’t already been in place for years. They wouldn’t be able to blame ‘terrorists’ this time, because that would just make the people even more receptive to mass deportations of any non-citizen calling for the downfall of the country…up here we subsidize them and punish anyone trying to prevent that but there are so many now it doesn’t matter if the ‘gov’t’ takes in what you throw out, at least you’d be rid of them.

The only thing to do is wait for them to overplay their hand and eventually sombody will ‘leak’ the wrong file or roll over to beg for a ‘get out of jail’ card and then the walls will have their fresh coats, the lampposts will groan under the weight (that’s whay the pros use bridges) and the tree of liberty will be watered so much it sprouts fresh growth.

The narcissistic idiots seeking their fleeting moment in the spotlight, the waters, the crocketts, the walzes, the garcias, the bowsers and the rest; the ones who only open their mouths to change feet, they’ll do the job without any help, encourage them to speak and to speak often, but record everything to rebut their denials when they inevitably try to make them.

My point up thread exactly. He has and is anticipating their next moves and operating preemptively, no book authors or wags required, he is out-strategizing even Sun Tzu with his Art of the deal in lieu of the Art of War.

by Kurt Schlichter Very factual, to close to current reality to sooth your dreams.
Carrara, Centurion, Freehold are all “worlds” many of us wish we inhabited. And warnings about the world we do….

This is a great series by a true patriot. Kelly Turnbull/PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC (8 book series)

        by Kurt Schlichter (Author)

        Kindle
        Audible Logo Audiobook
        Hardcover
        Paperback

From Book 1: America’s growing political and cultural divisions have finally split the United States apart. Now, as the former blue states begin to collapse under the dead weight of their politically correct tyranny, a lethal operative haunted by his violent past undertakes one last mission to infiltrate and take out his target in the nightmarish city of Los Angeles, deep in the heart of the People’s Republic of North America. National Review’s Jim Geraghty calls Kurt Schlichter’s “People’s Republic” “a surreal, fast-paced journey through a dramatically different America but less than a generation away. … Violent, imaginative, full of mordant humor and dark, gritty details, you won’t want to live in this People’s Republic…but you’ll feel a chill as you wonder how different our real future will be.” Author and television host Cam Edwards says “Kurt Schlichter’s ‘People’s Republic’ is a roller coaster ride through a post-election Hellscape that will leave you wanting more.” Radio host Hugh Hewitt say “Schlichter puts a whole flight of Black Swans in the air –each of them plausible– and the result is a riveting, page-turner, and a demand from Schlichter for…more.” “People’s Republic” is the first novel by Kurt Schlichter, a retired Army infantry colonel, a conservative radio and television commentator on the Fox networks and elsewhere, a Senior Columnist at Townhall, com, and a popular and hilarious Twitter raconteur. He’s also a trial lawyer, so he has an intimate understanding of evil and deception. Radio host and commentator Ben Shapiro calls “People’s Republic “chilling,” and author and columnist David Limbaugh calls it “a thought-provoking action thriller set against the backdrop of a shattered America.” Fox News contributor and author Katie Pavlich says, “They say conservatives are terrible story tellers, but Kurt Schlichter destroys that stereotype in his new novel People’s Republic and issues a dire warning about the future of America.” As with his prior book “Conservative Insurgency: The Struggle to Take America Back 2013-2041,” “People’s Republic” takes today’s news and projects the trends out into the future. Funny, frightening and action-packed, “People’s Republic” is a thriller that will make you think as well as keep you turning the pages.

“Afterword” in that one states what Europe should have started doing a quarter-century ago.

“Exegesis” describes what a future POTUS may be forced to do because the EU didn’t.

The book by Kratman’s Caliphate. LOVE that book. Epically where the islams and commies sneak nukes into America and blow up cities there. And the resulting blow back from America to the world. This is what we should have done after 9/11. Wouldn’t have all these libturds, commies and islams running around causing trouble in this world.

Considering what we now know of DNC SOP, the January 6th attack on the Capitol was an out-and-out Rent-A-Riot, so the NG would be a needless complication, if not a spoiler.
The Coup conspirators couldn’t cover all their tracks, so the legitimate historians of the future will have to publish their findings in the electronic equivalent volume of the old paper Encyclopedia Britannica.
        Excluding the footnotes of course.

There are probably enough highway overpasses in the DC metro area to dangle a bunch of demohorroids by the armpits and let them watch 18 wheelers with high trailers approaching for half a mile or so at 60 MPH. Gives them time to offer up a few prayers to whatever deity they believe in!
