Day By Day

  • Too Tall

    Nice ride!

  • JTC

    Heh, love it!

Javie must already be on board so to speak, or that Heavy would be a fireball right about now. 🙂

  • ottersmith

It’s got a muffler now? There’s an invention!

  • Pamela

So what’s the paint job? Ghost Flames…

    • Bill G

So he can be a Ghost Flame rider, in the sky?

    • JTC

How sickening to continue to see these big reveals of obvious fraud while The Chosen and all its acolytes snicker and thumb their noses and say so what?

Is there a near-term path to relief? Any kind of end-game plan? Because I can’t and won’t be suffered through what is coming in the next months and years if these things are allowed to stand.

So I am for not allowing them to stand.

      • Paladin

I am also at a loss of what I can do. Quit drinking Yungling, Wisconsin cheese, Land O Lakes butter, Detroit Iron. All seam too puny…

    • Bill G

Statistical models were sufficient to ‘prove’ AGC, er, AGW, er, AGC, er, AGCC. It’s SCIENCE!!!! Statistical models were sufficient to prove the lethality of the CCP Virus. It’s SCIENCE!!!!!!
So it should be sufficient to offset a vote that about 80% of the population believes to be fraudulent.
      RIGHT???? Right? right …

    • WayneM

It doesn’t matter what the voters say as long as the Left has control of the means of counting & tallying…

  • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

Who does Elon license that with? DMV? Or FAA?

    • JTC

NASA one would think. FREE one would prefer.

    • JSStryker

    • James McEnanly

    • GWB

      NASA and FAA
Rockets have to be cleared through airspace so those hot-rodders don’t sideswipe a slow-moving Concorde or something.

(In the past, btw, rockets have absolute airspace right-of-way. They are fast, without much effective directional control – especially when coming down. With all of the innovations going on, that might just change someday.)

      • Unca Walt

IIRC the absolute ruler of ROW in the sky is the balloon.

The lowest of the low: Hoppacopters

      • JTC

Note the chest board on that Master Sgt, gotta have some logic, reason, and badass authority to run things and keep all that brass out of trouble…

    • Punta Gorda

      Vivid Video…

      • Pamela

Wonder if he is a fan of Flesh Gordon

    • John M.

  • NotYetInACamp

spaceship designs appear to again be looking like the Science fiction drawings, models, NASA predictions, and movie designs and pulp writers made them appear back in the 1950’s.

    • JTC

You want the 50’s movies? Did you see the vid of that Starship eerily rotating in air to assume landing position…which landing it unfortunately but spectacularly approached a bit too briskly?*

*And which Elon hilariously and only partially disingenuously praised as a “successful ascent…”

      • Fox2!

Sticking the landing was a “stretch” goal for this mission. Wasn’t necessary to accomplish all of the pre-defined goals.

It is good to extend one’s goals, but you have to expect some of them to not be met.I’m sure that the next mission will conclude with a successful landing.

      • President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH B Woodman

        Thunderbird 1

  • Heltau

Is there enough room to stuff a couple of hundred libturds in the rocket and send it off to the Andromeda Galaxy?
Asking for a LOT of Americans.
Bye the way, Happy Christmass and hopefully a Merry New Year to you all.

    • Heltau

      I used the wrong by.

    • Fox2!

Use them for sound suppression lining on the flame trench.

      • Haltau

Far better usage of these libturds than my comment.
Should they be tared and feathered before this usage?

    • Pamela

Send them where the Reavers are….

  • Mike-SMO

e-Dogs or Tin Man should have noted the arrival, if nothing else, than to safe the turkey launcher.

    • Bill G

Ayuh; we wouldn’t want Elon’s nice ride to run afoul of Sam’s turkey. The 700 MPH chicken gun has nothing on Sam’s cookware.

  • Robert Heinlein the Prophet.

License would be with FAA, as per SpaceShipOne.

Rockets as Robert A. Heinlein would have preferred ( it lives ).

Given that Falcon Nine did a similar thing, Elon was happy to get within 100m of success IRL. Plus as a fan of Mythbusters he doesn’t mind BIG booms.

    • CDR 215

Yeah, but Elons’ booms are a lot more expensive than the Myth Busters’ booms!

  • Dave

Another step in turning Texas blue. While the jobs are nice, the people and their socialist ideals are not.

Really, really need to implement Glenn Reynolds’ Welcome-wagon idea.

    • GWB

  • noy fub

Chris, thanks for sharing the Revolver article. Not light reading but, very interesting.

  • Fronk!

John F. Kennedy famously said, “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

    • Lyle

Was Kennedy not speaking from the Progressive (incremental communist revolutionary) point of view? It is my assertion that, judging from those words alone it is impossible to tell. A Marxist street thug would say exactly the same thing. Many of these clever phrases we like so much can be turned around to either direction; adopted by either side in the war, and as such they are clearly lacking in guiding principle.

  • GWB

With a guest around the house, I am expecting not to see any waterhole visits or Jan sunbathing any time soon?

  • Advo

“Is that a rocket, or are you just happy to see me?”

    • JTC

Just hope he can sticky that landing…

  • Browncoat57

    • JTC

Definitely entertaining, but for entertainment value only…

Can’t have CSA, it’s been done and does not convey the truth and reach of the CRA (Constitutional Republic of America), which encompasses so much more, geographically, psychologically, politically. economically, and of course as the name implies, Constitutionally.

But it is as the last one was, a Confederation for freedom…

The Confederated States of the Constitutional Republic of America,

      The Confeds of the CRA.

    • John M.

Shouldn’t that be “D.P.R. of Cascadia?” There are no more Soviet Socialist Republics…

  • Halley

A sense of humor is a means of survival and self-defense. I’m finding for the first time since ever that mine is on hold, in this excruciating wait for the Nov. 3 terrorist attack by The Enemy to be avenged. And most of the mainstream “conservative internet” is in such a horrifying Surrender Mode, that there is basically nothing left to read or latch on to for hope. Thanks for this DBD lifeline, and this turned-on community.

  • Malatrope

Truly beautiful artwork there, Chris! You captured the spirit perfectly!

    • JTC

Great camera work. But the low-res version I watched over and over of the rotation is almost better in conveying the 50’s bad sci-fi animation and evokes that kid in me. 🙂

    • Punta Gorda

      Gnarly banana.

  • DonS

Halley, for never-say-die encouraging news, watch Steve Bannon’s “War Room Pandemic” morning and evening daily. Also, download John Fredericks Radio APP on your phone. They are relentless, and the truth is on our side.
    Blessings! DonS

    • JTC

      Like I said,

“…all it’s acolytes snicker and thumb their noses and say, so what?”

      And we say, “so nothing”.

  • My Way or -->

Chris, that rocket is a gigglesnort. You could post a warning, just as a kindness.

Note this from WUWT: there is a possibility that the looming Biden Admin may pursue persecution (not PROsecution) of those with dissenting opinions, mostly about climate change/this & that, but here’s the warning article:
It appears that Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is leading the charge on it, per this warning: I have inside information that Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) will be pushing the Biden administration, calling for prominent climate skeptics, and climate skeptical organizations to be put on investigations and “show trials” for daring to question the consensus. There may be worse than that coming, as he seems to genuinely believe we’ve committed some sort of crime and should be punished for it. Make no mistake, it’s coming. <-

There is nothing that says other platforms will not be pursued as dissenters.

      • Malatrope

That was the old MK1, which is being scrapped. Watch the videos I posted above for the one that’s actually flown. And before anybody says “it exploded”, that was expected. It achieved all of its intended goals.

        • JTC

Yes, the so-cool revolution/evolution/devolution to the current Buck Rogers retrorocket design was discussed at length upthread.

Also speculated about the new electric model called the Bzzzt! Batteries are problematic but Kafiroon says Toyota has that down… 🙂

Love everything about SpaceForce and this space cowboy collaboration thing, let’s see what the new nazty regime does to it.

        • JTC

BTW, did you see R2D2 standing by at launch and “landing”? I mean did it land right where it launched or did that seemingly tiny but actually giant R2 travel? Hmmm?

  • LowKey

Why are we surprised at what has happened. We’ve watched for decades as the Democrats went further and further left as more of their ranks embraced being “Progressives”, and watched as those in office who were supposedly on the “Right” did nothing but vent hot air in political kabuki theater….’full of sound and fury,Signifying nothing’.
Meanwhile the left listened to what their ideological role model said, “It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.”

    And here we are….
