The ‘Fourth Estate’ pretty much died back in 2012.

“Our government is now allowed to create propaganda tailored specifically for U.S. public consumption, using any media as it sees fit, while remaining anonymous as the source of the material being reported.” https://www.rcreader.com/commentary/smith-mundt-modernization-act-2012

We don’t have to worry about that up here, the gov’t pays the media millions including a new $30,000/employee grant, IF they’re on the Cabinet approved list and IF they ‘report the news properly’. That and the cbc is owned by the gov’t and staffed solely by liebrals for the past 40 years or so plus the crtc cancels the licences of any competition from unsavoury sources like Fox while subsidizing brand new anti-semitic stations run by known terrorists.
No chance of any gov’t propaganda getting through those safeguards…

It was 1973 when the “Fourth Estate” became a Fifth Column, when they took the lead in forcing Richard Nixon out of office.

My immediate thought was the same: “Fourth Estate? No, Fifth Column.” And all working to support “Our Democracy!” Which is to say getting to election purely by popular vote, and thus total rule from the liberal big cities.

I for one never question the veracity or good intentions of any White House press release since 2021. After all, these are people of integrity and legitimacy who are in no way connected to any DC crime syndicate, foreign infiltration, enemy psyop or coup d´etat.

The press sold out at least going back to 2007 when they covered up for the illegitimate 1/2 black candidate barack insane oshithead…I would venture it was long before that, though, perhaps going back to at least Bill “I did not have sex with that woman” Clinton, although there were still some legitimate ones still around at that point to call him on it….didn’t do any good….

A little off topic, but if that report about
Kari Lake (who should be Az Governor) is
true, she could be the one Trump is considering
for vice. At least it`s a breath of good air
to hear someone claim they cannot be
bought, no matter the amount. Senator
    would also be ok.

Yep, but we might need her more in the Senate at this time. One lone voice crying out in the wilderness can make a difference (sometimes). We can only hope.

Agreed for the Senate. Have to be careful to NOT consign someone we actually wouldn’t mind as potus to the black hole of being vpotus… can’t think of a damn one who did a damn thing worthwhile, and many who were never to be heard from again, aka Pence.

I’ve been thinking that since even before she ran for Governor.
The fact that the RNC swamprats tried to bribe her to stay out of politics immediately qualifies her for the job.

Lake, Tulsi, Vivek, Flynn… or someone in on “Q” who we don’t know about yet. He’ll make the best choice, and we’re hardly in the position to second guess yet.

Now, I’m a big Kari Lake fan. That having been said, I also know who was aware the conversation was being recorded for later playback, and who wasn’t.

They all do, they ‘journalize’ for a paycheque, personal power and a pension, nothing else matters to them and hasn’t for years. The days of the small town newspaper editor exposing the bottom layers of the swamp are long gone, the yeither get bought out, face false charges or end up either publically embarrassed over unproveable allegations or conveniently dead.

The “punchline” delivered by Cringe Jean-Pierre caused me to snort coffee up my nose. Messy…

I see Jeff DeWittless (who tried and failed to bribe Kari Lake) resigned in disgrace, claiming the audio recording was deceptively edited to make him look like a criminal rather than a compassionate boss grooming an errant employee… I wonder if DeWittless is suicidal?
