Jo has a simple question that might be repeated all over the nation. Perhaps an answer, “I am not against my party, my party has turned against me.” Even a robot could understand. Well depending on what Big Daddy programmed into it/her. I guess we will see where are the logical contradictions lead Jo and the story…..

Just remember Trump is not a conservative (or libertarian). He is an old-style Democrat, liberal with other people’s money but American above all else. His only “small gov’t” inclination is because he’s a businessman.

His presidency is not restoring much in the way of conservative values* – except for patriotism and lower taxes. I think much of the rest of it is primarily to poke the media hard in the eye.

If we really want to restore the country, we have much evangelism to do – teaching the electorate to restrain themselves via morals, to educate themselves on the Constitution and founding principles, and to cultivate critical thinking – and only 5 years to do it. If our political class gets the reins of power in 2024 (or before, by regaining both houses of Congress) they will trample our freedoms and our republic like the bulls at Pamplona running down a fallen man.

(* I’m assuming patriotism, freedom, low taxation**, non-deficit spending, small federal gov’t, state’s rights, etc.)
(** BTW, the Republicans were so very often just buying our votes, too. They just did it with low taxes, instead of payments of some sort. They still spent what they felt like spending regardless of income. Though, yes, some did – and do – believe in actual fiscal prudence and constitutional limits.)

I knew Trump wasn’t either a conservative or a libertarian when I voted for him in the general election (Ted Cruz got my vote in the primary). After watching my wife’s 401K hemorrhage money for eight years I voted for Trump because I trusted him not – knowingly – to do anything which would cost HIM money. I figured O’Bozo didn’t care about the economy because his money was coming from sources which did not depend on the economy. I knew Hilzabeast would be an unmitigated disaster both for the economy and the Republic in general.

        Yes.
And a lot of folks don’t grasp that so very many people voted for Trump with their eyes wide open (not all of them, mind you, but a lot). We knew who he was.

And we voted for him, anyway.

        Some, but not enough.
I’m afraid this will all end in tears one way or another.
We’re already spending more to service the debt than to support the world’s most expensive military establishment, and the moment we miss a debt payment the whole Ponzi Scheme collapses into “Argentina”.

Purple is getting very popular. Our intellectual, ethical, and moral betters are using it to remind us deplorables who they are.

Here’s why the Emmys 2019 red carpet is actually purple

According to “Good Day LA” anchor Rita Garcia, the Television Academy chose the color to specifically evoke royalty.

“What do you think of when you think of that color?” Garcia shared in a behind-the-scenes segment Friday. “It’s royalty. They’re honoring this year’s Hollywood and television royalty.”

Royalty. And the flyover people are…

Purple is the “chosen” color to represent gay pride. It’s been that for a long time.
And we all know that many of them think they are queens. 😉
An other inflated ego is what they have in any event.

The time to have formed a new party was 2008-2010. When the Tea-Party was enthusiastic. Limbaugh did his part for the GOP-e by keeping us on the farm. With his 3rd party is a looser, allowing the Dem’s to win. Just as the GOP formed because of the WIGS, and elected Abraham Lincoln 6 years later. Trump would have had people in Congress that would push back. Unlike the GOP-e and maintaining the status quo.

That 5 other European countries also wanted to get him fired. “Yes, like the Europeans are as clean and pure as the wind driven snow.” The “Deep State” i.e. “The Ruling Class” is global.

Without Trump and the MAGA movement to resuscitate it, the GOP would surely have put itself out of its misery by now. I’m sure I’m not the only Tea Party type who watched in abject horror as the GOP spent 8 long years smooching BarackHussein’s posterior while eagerly letting him get away with his National Decay agenda. Trump is the only reason we’ve hung on, and bets are still off after 2024.

from https://pjmedia.com/richardfernandez/the-long-civil-war/ : “As Megan McArdle pointed out, in a zero-sum game there are no points for second place. “Democrats who think court packing is justified by Garland forget that [Whispers] Garland was justified by Bork. In this game, you don’t move last.” When one side attacks the other must counterattack. The first side to falter loses. That fear, as Victor Davis Hanson notes, is what keeps the weary populists together. They will stand fast because for them the alternative to Trump is the abyss.

Fighting all that can be wearying. … But these are not normal times. There is (for now) no longer a Democratic Party. Instead, it is a revolutionary Jacobin movement that believes socialism is our salvation, that identity politics is our creed, that gun confiscation is our duty, that the abrupt end of fossil fuels is coming very soon, that open borders is our new demography, and that the archetypical unmarried, childless, urban hipster is our model woke citizen.”

Well lets just see those brilliant urban hipsters and invaders from third world countries keep the electricity and water running. They might be able to keep the garbage picked up; by riding the Back of the dump truck. But like any of them can keep the dump truck running is another problem.

A big part of what’s driven social & cultural change over the past 50 years is the politicizing of the Supreme Court.

Trump might have a unique opportunity to roll back the tide, so to speak, if he chooses to do so.

Obama’s SCotUS choices were leftist ideologues who were barely scrutinized. Each candidate proposed by Republican Presidents have been subjected to abusive horrific treatment for a couple of reasons. First, to scare off most potential appointees and more importantly to ensure no Republican appointee would dare overturn any of the non-constitutional “interpretations” that the ideologue judges put forward.

Most of the more controversial one like Roe vs Wade serve to underpin expansions of government incursion into areas where no Constitutional authority exists.

It’s the Uniparty of Trampled Serf. All Rino and Demonrat members. PDJT didn’t stay on the reservation and is loathed by both sides for not following script. He behaves like a 1960’s Democrat in believing in service to the little man. This is in complete contrast to the Uniparty believing the little man is there to be served up, withers, loin, hock and jowl.

The real PDJT will surface on the 2A question. This is a fundamental tell. If he even advocates (which the whispers seem to confirm) that he is willing to give on this issue then he will be alienating his base. He may even tie a prize (to be stolen later) like closing the border and wall funding to it but the damage to the “Ones who want to stay free” will be permanent.

As to real gun control, a Parable:

A criminal perpetrator rapes somebody so the Government in the guise of “Safety from Rape Crime” comes to your house and registers your penis so they know you have a penis. Another criminal perpetrator does the same thing and the Government now comes to your house and tries to buy back your penis. You don’t sell because you like your penis. This infuriates the anti-penis people and they convince the Government that the only way to be safe from penises is to confiscate all the registered penises. The Government then comes to your house to confiscate your penis so you shoot them with your gun. End of parable.

I guess I’ll reluctantly give up my penis,
it’s primary job has been done.
making babies to secure the future,
and in the process I had some fun.

      But the primary job,
That falls to my gun, (due largely to the work of my penis)
while I hope won’t be needed, will remain at the ready,
to do what has to be done.

I think I’ll just keep mine, if it’s all the same to you, Mr. Government Man. It ain’t much much but I’m kinda attached to it, if you know what I mean. Besides, it’s the only one I’ve got and I’m kinda accustomed to seeing it when I perform certain necessary functions. Maybe some of those things get put places and used for things they’re not supposed to be but mine never has been and I expect never will be.

Soon or late everyone goes into that good night but I have no intention of doing so gently when my time comes. I figure a fusillade of rifle/pistol fire is as good a way to go as any – and a WHOLE LOT BETTER than many. If they want mine, they’re gonna have to kill me for it!
