Coutts is considered dull only because it’s across the Medicine Line from swingin’ Sweetgrass, Montana!
(This is actually true to some degree. Until the 1970’s you couldn’t get a drink in Alberta on Sunday. There was a bar in Sweetgrass, and Albertans drove long distances to wet their whistles at the Glocca Morra Inn.)

Actually, you couldn’t get a beer in Alberta on a Sunday until the 80’s and the list of bars in Sweetgrass was much longer that just the Gloc: Curly Bob’s, Emil’s, Paper Dollar (aka Plywood Palace), Vince’s, Bill’s, to name a few.

Thx to our host for putting Coutts on the map. Going to head down this afternoon, see if I can an autogaph from Skye.

Today’s rumor is that the Chinada Stasi is scraping GoFundMe/GiveSendGo’s donation rolls for names of people in the US who donated to the truckers, with an eye to denying them future entry into Canada.

Wow, Br’er Beaver, please DO NOT throw me into that briar patch!

One of the best bumper stickers I’ve ever seen stated:

@Henry: I see a great future for money orders, purchased with cash. Just make sure to wear your favorite mask for the camera when you get one. It ain’t as convenient, but it doesn’t go though the NSA computer scans. Walk into the office so your plates are not scanned by the exterior “eyes”. You know, the usual stuff.

I got a shock today here in the Florida Panhandle. Sixteen gallons of gas comes to over $55.00 at the pump. Never thought that would happen. They must be paying out the ass in the blue states. So much for our energy independence, Lets go Brandon! You can hardly screw it up any worse.

Regular ranges from $3.15 on the south side of Cheyenne, WY, to around $3.45 on the north side for self serve.

I think your math is a bit off somewhere…

$55 / 16 gallons = $3.44/gallon. Whether or not that’s above or below average depends, in part, on what grade of gasoline we’re talking about here — regular? Mid-grade (“plus”)? Premium? (Here in Texas, I’ve been paying about $3.20/gallon, give or take a few cents — but that’s because I normally get the “ethanol-free” 89-octane stuff from QT, which is always a bit more expensive than the usual mid-grade.)

If Steve’s $3.30/gallon was “$2.00 less” than what you paid, then that would make your price $5.30/gallon, and that 16-gallon fill-up would’ve cost you 88.48.

That non-ethanol should also equate to about 10% better economy, or range. Corn is for eating, or straight ethanol for racing! Blends suck.

King George needed these Homeland Security style assistances back in the pre soviet political commissar days.

Flip flop like Chuck Shumer and do so straight faced. The progressives never consider what is said as anything but a step leading to their next level of control.
The excuse that their coup is just a normal transfer of power that will reverse itself later is another hoped for ;ie. They have brought enough people in so that they can, in their plans, get that old commie goal of win one vote one time, then implement tyranny and total control, never to lose again.
Free or independent thought, speech, or facts are now targeted for severe suppression should they be able to implement their written plans. They have warned us. Unconstitutional laws will be presented as “That’s the law. We are enforcing the law.”

Ignoring is sound action. Secure your personal are and keep thee Constitution strong right there as a start for all.

Come on up to the land of the carbon tax where those 16 US gallons would cost you $73.82 USD or $93.74 in sockboy bucks.
Luckily, you’re not allowed to travel anywhere so it lasts longer.
I think I might have put 500 km on in the last year, luckily I’m retired and only go out to get groceries I order online, although I haven’t seen my son who lives a half hour away in over two years because the provincial border is closed, but that just drops gas mileage to bugger all since it’s ‘in town’ driving and I don’t drive a tiny soyboy special.
That’s for the lowest grade and I have to use premium since the ethanol in the lower grades already rotted out the gas tank, filler neck and fuel lines, so that’s another .10/litre or (lemme do the math quick) roughly .30/USgal, and our ‘carbon tax that will save you money’ is going up another .12/litre on 01Apr. Gotta pay for the kodak kid’s cottage bunker somehow…

That’s about $4.57 US per US gallon for the lowest grade (not saying people can’t do the math, just saving you the trouble of looking up exchange rates and conversions 😉 ) and it’s a lot higher in some other parts of the country, a LOT higher, since this area gets it’s oil from saudi arabia which is exempt from some duties since sockboy owns stock in the company shipping and refining it and won’t let all that homegrown oil from out west go to the rest of the country because they diddn’t vote for him 🙁
Come to think of it nobody voted for him, he got less than 20% of the eligible vote, even if they didn’t send ballots to the areas that historically vote the other way, the Conservatives got more votes than he did but fewer seats, yet a protest movement that has over 80% support across the country is a ‘fringe minority’….

Seems like a few provinces and some states are flip-flopping on the ‘mask mandates’ but you can rest assured that if the protests stop then they’ll just find a ‘new variant’ within a week and lock everything down harder than before, while actively preventing such a gathering of citizens from ever happening again.

Since Mayor Comrade Watson (oddly enough a member of the World Economic Forum) decided the way to deal with truckers was to prevent them from bringing fuel to their rigs, the police started ‘seizing’ any fuel cans bring carried into downtown. So the locals have started carrying fuel cans anytime they visit the Freedom Convoy. There are some excellent videos showing dozens of Canada’s largest fringe minority carrying fuel cans… many of them still with stickers from the store on ’em… headed for downtown. Most of the cans are empty; some have water & others have fuel. I believe the fuel embargo was abandoned.

Lived 15 yr just south of Coutts (Shelby) , spent many time crossing over that line back and forth to Alberta. Of course just go a few mile east and drive over any dirt
road (which all the farmers use), No fence or even painted line ! just a nicely mowed stretch of border. Just look to the top of the Sweet Grass hills to see the Border Boys watching !
