I suspect that within a decade, CA’s enlightened rulers will bring back Aztec religion, and mandate that the only legal animal byproduct foodstuff will be “long pig”, as the Fijian islanders dubbed it.
The future there may be a half-naked person covered in blue pigment screaming “Worship Gaia, Worship Gaia, Gaia-Gaia-GAIAA!!” while dancing bizarrely waving an obsidian-bladed knife over their head- and over somebody tied down naked on a stone altar.
Needless to say, said “Dish of the Day” will not be a volunteer.
