  • Dastardly Dan

Der Fuhrer would have had that one eliminated for being inferior.

Really, you don’t have to scratch them, just wait until they open their mouths, the fascism just pours out.

    • Blue Quasar

That’s why free speech is so wonderful. It’s like an accurate quisling detector.

      • WayneM

That’s why progressives dislike and want to control free speech.

        • Drumwaster

They don’t want to control ALL free speech, just the speech that they disagree with, and the speech that points out how they want to control the rest of us.

“Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.” — Benjamin Franklin

  • epador

    Scratch n Sniff. Phew.

    • KenH

No thanks; flamethrower better to kill the stench…..

  • Redshift

How very apt…Old Scratch being one of the more popular and *less offensive* names for the one we also call the ‘father of lies’, Lucifer

…So we pivot straight to the pinhead at 1600, and it’s a perfect fit…

    • nonncom

If there were recommends, you’d get a few from me for that one….

  • Big Boss Ogg

    Phew…sulphur, epador?

  • JTC

Scratch a progressive and the nascent fascist gets buried with it.

Oh, not that kind of scratch? Too bad.

  • B Woodman

Fascist = statist = socialist = communist = Nazi = theoracy. All varying degrees of left to lefter on the authoritarian scale.

  • B Woodman

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” — Barack Obama, October 30, 2008
“We are going to have to change our conversation; we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.” — Michelle Obama, May 14, 2008

    Need I say more?

    • Drumwaster

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.” — Michelle Obama

Making the pie larger never enters their thought processes.

  • Ms Zesty Crab Legs

Finally someone has the courage to call out Obama on his golfing and media on its fascism!

    • Hi Ma’am.
Chris has been trashing both of them for years. Check the older files from the past couple of years. This site is a must read for a lot of Day by Day fans!
      Enjoy!

    • Dread

Where did he call media fascist?

  • Pete231

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb, voting on what’s for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb, contesting that vote.” -B. Franklin-

    • Chas C-Q

I agree with the sentiment and honor Benjamin Franklin daily (seriously), but I believe that the aphorism dates to no earlier than 1990.

“Zu befehl” is what one says when acknowledging an order from a superior. Haupttruppführer (one word, diaeresis over the last “u”) was a Sergeant Major in the SA (“Brownshirts”).

      • Bob

Being old, I recall that back in the 1990s the two wolves line wan already attributed to Franklin.

  • Ming the Merciless

Freedom of speech issue: Egyptian Alia Majida Al Mahdi menstruating and defecating on the Daesh/ISIS/Muslim State flag…the picture the MSM will not show:

    • steveb919

      That was quite an image!

    • B Woodman

Much as I appreciate the sentiment, PLEASE pass the mind bleach.
Some things, once seen, cannot be unseen.

  • Joseph Meyer

“Tutto nello Stato, niente al di fuori dello Stato, nulla contro lo Stato.” Or, in a word, Gleichschaltung.

    • Ming the Merciless

Funny, in Niccolo Machiavelli’s times, the Italians were the most dangerous and freest of the men, along with the Swiss and the Scots(armed populaces are free, slaves are disarmed) and with Mussolini, Italians were all defenceless clowns in government servitude.

  • Fox2!

The proper response is “Don’t call me ‘Sir’, I work for a living” (The response of any NCO addressed as, “Sir”).

    • Unca Walt

      Only in Hollywood, Fox.

“What’s the first word outa that filthy mouth!?”

      “SIR!”

      “Can’t HEAR you, maggot!”

      “SIR!!!”

      • John Greer

The difference is between the Army and the Marine Corps.
We sergeants of the Army _Do_ work for a living.

      • Fox2!

Drill Instructors (BMTI in the Air Force) are called “Sir” by exception. I had a SSgt (E-5) tell me that (“I work for a living”) while I was a cadet.

  • Ming the Merciless

They recently rediscovered the art of the medieval two handed sword fighting, current in Machiavelli times and popular with swiss and german Landsknechts
and the big Scots’ claymore…A few of these armored fighters were nearly unbeatable…http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Boffer/Guide-LongSword.html

  • Bill G

    The devil you say.
But, now, it’s not as if he was all that anti-Semitic or anythi…, oh, yeah.

  • OpenTheDoor

I never tire of pointing out to Progs that Nazis were Socialists.
National Socialism, it seems, doesn’t really mean what Progs want it to mean, or so those who are indoctrinated believe.
Nazism is the absolute opposite of Capitalism. Sure, they opposed Communists, Communist are anti God and welcome all races, Progs are antiGod, anticapitalist and hate their own race, how do they live with themselves?

    • eon

      1. Nazism wasn’t really all that anti-Communist. Look up “Gregor Strasser”, and consider that the German Army trained in secret in the USSR from the 1920s on. That’s not even considering the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, Poland, and Katyn Forest.

      2. Far from Communists “welcoming all races”, the Russian brand at least has always been contemptuous of non-whites. (CM, I won’t quote the Russian term for a black African out of deference to you.)

      3. Anti-Semitism was always a Soviet policy. Stalin’s purges of “kulaks” (“rich peasants”) fell heavily on the Russian middle class, composed of farmers who owned their own land, and merchants. Many of whom were- you guessed it- Jewish.

The differences between Nazism and Soviet-style Communism were minimal at best. The differences between Soviet-style Communism and modern-day Western progressivism, even less so.

      cheers

      eon

      • Iconoclast

eon: “The differences ….” is the most cogent summary of the phenomenon I’ve ever been privileged to see, truly five star. It will be quoted.

      • Comparing the principal representatives of Naziism and Soviet Communism, namely Hitler and Stalin, we know them to have been two of the greatest monsters in history. But there was a major difference in their respective monstrosities. Hitler was a “targeting” monster; Stalin was an “equal opportunity” monster.

Hitler’s favorite targets were Jews, Slavs (the Untermenschen), and other “non-Aryans”, such as Gypsies. Stalin had no favorites — he targeted everyone in a random fashion, which maximized his terroristic grip on his own people.

Stalin’s daughter married a Jew, and her son, Stalin’s grandson, was, therefore, half Jewish; Stalin was fond of both. On the other hand, Stalin’s own son (by his first wife) perished as a Nazi POW, when Stalin refused to trade a bunch of captured Nazi generals for his own son’s return.

        • Ming the Merciless

We really dont know anything about the current living big psychopath, Xi Jinping, except that he has amassed a colossal fortune, bigger than Putin or Castro and that the Maoist monsters are all getting “suicided”, having “accidents”, falling off tall buildings and catching “cancers”…But the body part commerce is going even stronger and the chinese land grabs are watery instead of land based like Russia…but things are not looking too good…If I was Pooty Poot, I’d be worrying…

      • John Greer

I like to point out that Communism means state ownership of the means of production.
Fascism means the ownership of the owners.

  • Pamela

Ahh, he hurt his poor widdle self. Now go use that lovely medical plan named after yourself. By the time you get an appointment with a Doc,
it might be healed or have a raging dose of mersa. Plus the meds won’t be covered since you haven’t met the deductible because the premiums are too fricking high…

  • B Woodman

I know where Der Furher can put his poor hurt widdle finger.
From many years ago, on a local radio station, there used to be a a duo that would play “Dr Demento” style songs, one-off novelties. The one I’m thinking of has the line “Stick It In Cider (Inside) Her”.
Now THAT, I would pay a few bucks to see. Pull up the lawn chair and popcorn!

  • Kip Allen

So incredibly true. What most people, especial liberals, fail to understand is that fascism is a movement of the left, not right. Even Hitler and Mussolini considered themselves creatures of the left.

  • RayNAiken

B Woodman sez “I know where Der Furher can put his poor hurt widdle finger.”
Mr. Woodman there is no room for his finger. MSNBC studios plus more than half the MSM are housed in there.

  • JTC

First Amendment? We don’t need no steenkin’ First Amendment!

Get rid of it! AFTER we “change” that steenkin’ Second one…

  • Spin Drift

Did anybody notice the back hoe in the first frame? Is that a subtle shot at Moocheele?

    Hold Fast

    Spin Drift

  • larry

I love the way he says we need to change how the media reports things. Of course he wants to change how they talk about him. That is the whole purpose of the freedom of the press, so that they can say things that those in power may not like.

  • DDS

So, is Chris sayin’ he’s a scratch golfer? I think NOT!

    • B Woodman

Depends on which body part he’s scratching. Or whose. Or who’s scratching his.

  • John Greer

Would now be a good time to point out that the Friday discussion group I go to, which is overwhelmingly liberal, cannot bring themselves to openly call Putin a Fascist?

  • Indiana Mike

ISIS has already changed how reporters report. They do it with death threats to weak and cowardly reporters like Bill O’Reilly. Thus O’Reilly attacks Pam Geller and defends ISIS would be killers.
