    Vineyard.

Of course there ain’t any grapes, just vines. False promises, seems fitting for a socialist elite enclave.

Recent events have shown that it definitely is, in fact, a vineyard. And it’s full up with sour grapes.

Well said, Sheriff Tucker, well said.
And look at that view. All the way to the horizon.
What you need now is an elevated sniper hide (not on the trailer roof. To damned hot!), a scope to see who’s coming over that far horizon, and a rifle to “reach out and touchsomeone”.

Traditional travel trailer. That is about a o.8 wide, but it is home. Needs a water pump wind mill with a “Fighting Top”.

8′ wide but NOT a travel trailer. It’s an early mobile home, the type which inspired the terms “trailer park” and “trailer trash”. Even though those terms are now applied to communities of permanantly-sited manufactured living units (single-wide, double-wide, and yes triple-wide!) and their inhabitants, and in places like here in The Fla are mostly seasonally-occupied birds’ nests, the early ones were indeed capable of being relocated but not like for campgrounds etc., just to the next trailer park when the trailer trash in the old one are no longer the right kind of trash.

So the big difference is self-containment. The old “8-wide” trailers like Tucker’s here have the same systems and connections (power, water, and waste lines) as a home, whereas a travel trailer or any RV has redundant systems for camping etc (generator LP fridge, storage for fresh water and sewage) for when there are no external connections but do have landline connection capability when sited in one place for more than a day or two.

So Tuck ain’t got no kind of self-containment in his trailer-park trailer yet he is far from any park. So any support systems he has were self-established. And considering what he sees and what he knows, it’s probably a pretty elaborate setup capable of long-term survival, and the old trailer is just the outwardly visible part.

Friend of friend has place in Montana. Small trailer up top and guest trailer.
But underneath 8 bedroom home all underground.
He got in tax or estate auction.
It’s said he’s still finding caches on proper, well herds grazing his land do.
Only batch he had was that taxes on place by feds after discovery.
Sherrif fixed that noting it was listed in tax auction properly as shelter underground. Storm rated etc.
He has to store water and fuel and hope it doesn’t freeze in winter.
Prev owner must have been survivalist.
His income now is grazing rights rental to herd owners in area.
Cow flop city. Probably collected for furnace burning too. Heh.
Would love a place like that. Visitors I don’t mind get full access, those I don’t like …guest trailer.

    I have a proposal:
Military invasion of Mexico, clean up the cesspool and install provisional government. Send ‘migrants’ back to help rebuild the country. Help them enforce their southern border. In 5-7 years cut them loose with the promise that if they let things go to s**t again, we’ll come back and ‘help’ again, but on less friendly terms.
Gov. (next Prez) DeSantis, are you listening?

Mexico DOES enforce their southern border… for anybody fixing to stay in Mexico. But if people say they’re just passing through, and the US border is open, well then, it’s feliz viaje, visitante.

POTUS 45 had floated a great proposal … designate the Mexican cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs), then the US Armed Forces has the rationale to invade Mexico and establish a 15-mile DMZ type buffer zone along Mexico’s entire northern portion of the border.

Drone strikes and special ops to take out cartel leaders and meetings. All trade and traffic traveling north into the US must pass through the DMZ and undergo US military inspection and clearance before going to the border to receive final clearance by US Custom and Border Protection inspectors.

During this DMZ phase, the US Army Corps of Engineers can then construct a suitable and permanent wall/fence reinforced with ramparts, GPS sensors and real time video monitors, and access roads and well equipped facilities for the US Border Patrol. The funds for all of this can be re-programmed from all of the unspent federal Covid funds and from the $80 billion going to hire IRS agents. All other remaining monies are to be directly applied to the national debt.

Mexico could then work on earning the trust of its so called “good friend” to the North. Until then, the government needs to be treated like the third world sh!thole stepchild that it really is. When this occurs the DMZ could be returned back to Mexico’s sovereignty with our newly enhanced southern border protection facilities fully in place.

So called “good neighbors” do not callously and greedily export fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics to poison and addict millions of Americans.

Mexico has never truly been our friend … it’s time for some tough love for Mexico.

BTW … the fentanyl smuggling might make for an interesting storyline in DBD.

And in yesterday’s strip, Zed was right there with them in the trailer, as they cracked open three beers. I see nothing in today’s strip to indicate that any significant time has passed since then, so I doubt anything untoward is going to happen with Zed still being right there in the trailer with them.

So, if as Too Tall’s piece says, only adjacent (common border) nations qualify for their peeps to escape, and these Vineyard ones and most all of the other ones are NOT Mexicans, but Mexico enables their “passing through”…

Does that make MexGov liable to us also for aiding and abetting known criminals and criminal behavior?

As DT promised, Mexico HAS paid and IS paying a steep price for their failure to contain the detris and secure their border(s), forcing us to build the containment wall for them…and when the adults are back behind the wheel this bill too will be due and payable…one way or the other.
