I think he’s now just doing things at random, in the hope of hitting that magic combination that will make him “great” again.

We had an OSU football player who went that route. His name was Maurice Clarett. It didn’t end well for him.

Scott Adams of Dilbert fame called it “shaking the box”.
It’s an old tactic of his. It does have random results, but sometimes it turns up gold for him.

    True.

Random has its place and its uses; DT’s brilliant misdirection/manipulation of their media machine thing depended on it. But In many potentially dynamic ways, Musk has assumed the chess player’s crown; they don’t know wtf he’s on about, but he won’t be picking and choosing pols as he doesn’t trust any of them and neither do I.

Trump can still flip the switch of the faithful and the groupies and gets off on it, hence the card thing that served no real other purpose than to reinforce his pull in the minds of others, but he should drop that king-making shit too as it’s not working so great anymore plus what is needed is some more competent political operators in the vein of DeSantis and more visionaries like Elon, both critical to saving the world.

Trump has a powerful role but it has evolved and he has to grasp that if the MAGA machine that created and embraced him isn’t going to leave him behind.

Wait. When and how did Trump pick McCarthy for anything? The vote was held before the new members have even been seated, and (IIRC) before some of the races were even decided. I thought the whole point of doing so was to prevent the new MAGA congressmen from participating.

And I maintain that the whole card thing was no more than a fundraising raffle.

A fundraising ploy for sure, he can’t resist a legit capitalist revenue ploy.

But not just that; absolutely the vanity and the ego (ironically in some ways weaknesses) are just as strong motivators for him. That’s fine too…but for one thing; that bullshit leadup right up to the day before talking about this Big Announcement, making us think that finally the big one has dropped regarding the stolen election, or the farce of 1/6, or something earth-shattering.

But we knew better didn’t we, because similar bullshit announcements have also disappointed and even angered us, manipulating the opposition is one thing but fucking around with the patriotism and hopes and dreams of the MAGA Nation? And some of his most ardent believers and supporters (looking at the pillow guy and the cuban food magnate among others who risked all, selfless patriots who were just used up and tossed away.

He aint got many shots left with me.

Other than McCarthy, who, realistically, would the establishment GOP puppet masters select? This could just be Trump signaling his understanding about going with the devil you know vs the devil you don’t. Goat shit sandwich vs camel shit sandwich. No good choices. Maybe he feels he has some ability to hold influence over McCarthy if-when the time comes.

I’m in your camp … no one comes to mind who I consider trustworthy as a replacement. But then again it is foolish to connect ‘trustworthy’ and ‘politician’ in the same thought.

As the sci-fi horror movie of SADS becomes ever more undeniable, I’ve been wondering how The Enemy of the People were going to cover it, once they could no longer cover it up. I thought they’d of course try and blame it on Trump, but now it seems they’re going to blame it on the China Virus itself (“particles causing the clotting may have originated from the original infection”). Not to mention the coming horrors of the mRNA-infected blood pool. Trump HAS to address the “vaccine” debacle, before the State of Denial takes him down, which I’d really hate to see.

Ben Crenshaw. Repeat. He’s been bloodied, and he’s logical, and i don’t think he’s been bought off just yet. Leadership against this mass of stupidity that threatens us at every turn. He can fight. I’d fight alongside him.

Rethink Dan Crenshaw. I’ve met the guy and talked to him. I wouldn’t vote for him if he was running for dog catcher.
He never met a “Red Flag” law he didn’t like, among other things. Then, when called on it, prevarication ensues.

McCarthy bad mouthed McConnell. Unless McConnell instructed him to do so, that took balls or stupid; one or the other. Maybe both. With McCarthy its probably a little set and a lot of empty head space.

Meh. They are All politicians (Many Blood Sucking Ticks) and why any of us should even listen to them is now beyond my comprehension. After the last several shiite-shows of “elections, I do not see any reason to give them any of my time.
Now I’m going out to a forest and evict the spiders in case their home is needed.

Interesting concept, and I see the value in such a service, BUT…..I have this cynical conspiracy theory gremlin sitting on my shoulder making sure my tin foil hat is on straight that calls me to wonder how secure is this data base that’s being collected. Would the folks over at the CDC (Criminal Degenerate Cretins) ever have access to this data, either by clandestine methods or by publicly compelling the courts?

    Trump is flawed.
    People are flawed.

    Political parties are very flawed.
The open discussion of ideas and issues has reduced the effects of flaws.

Corruption is across the world of people.
So is the concept of fairness.
