In my rainy city in The Peoples Democratic Republic of Western Washington we are about 30 miles down the 5 from Seattle and there are lots of Seattle Snowflakes err Seahawks fans here. Last night at Mass there was not one Snowflakes jersey, hoodie, sweatshirt or anything else among the approximate 200 people there. Usually there are some especially among the kids – but last evening nada.
Probably too small a sample but to me significant. I see the spoiled millionaires are caving at least to the point of coming out and linking arms – that ain’t going to get it.
I’m a baseball fan and I suffer for the Mariners – their AAA club is here in my town and I rarely pay attention to football until after the World Series but not enough to even watch a game. I might start making exceptions with the Lingerie League though…
Anyway, Sundays for me are my range time – a couple rounds of skeet followed by the pistol and rifle ranges for some group therapy.
I wonder what Super Bowl commercials are going for these days? I won’t watch that either and if I’m curious about the commercials they get posted online anyway. Although since it seems more and more of them want to make a political statement (I’m talking about you Audi and others) I’m probably going to skip those too.
Maybe the showers around will slow down the clay pigeons this morning – I’m off to the range.

I remember the proper context for many Southernisms. In my early years I was raised in Virginia (before we moved to Massachusetts). It was in Falls Church (northern Va), but still, Virginia.
As for pics, I’ll see what I can do. Maybe two pics, one before/now, one after Halloween/early November.

Well fortunately for ugly mugs like me, it ain’t a beauty contest (notwithstanding Muir’s Zedliness having a bunk-inducing effect on Pamela), just a thought that it would be interesting to put face to nom and plume.
