There is no such thing as too much range time. Prone, kneeling, sitting, standing, it’s all good.

“Indoor range practice” with all kinds of different “drills?”

“You gonna protect us?” Reminds me of Zed and Sam’s first date, at the hotdog stand, with the embarrassed punk facing his-n-hers equalizers. I always wondered if he was scared straight.

Firefly and Silverado, I think both could have been great. Firefly is the best series from movie that never made it. Silverado has yet to be unseated in my mind as the best western ever made.

IMO, Firefly is numero dos – very close behind Babylon 5. Both, however, are head and shoulders above anything before or since — especially since.

YES!!!! B5 was an absolutely FANTASTIC series/show/concept. The character development was amazing. Have the entire series plus movies on DVD.

At MegaCon a several years ago, I got into a GREAT “Dueling Londos” with Peter Jurasic. There were people watching/listing and videoing it with multiple comments including Peter on how close my imitation was. We ended up having lunch together…….absolutely wonderful memory/experience.

    Duckhunter,
Firefy was first. They made Serenity to give it the closure it needed.

I keep hearing rumors that there is a Reboot in the works but it is alleged to be Zoe and Washes daughter that is now the Captain of the Serenity, and Original cast members may guest from time to time. But so far it is just rumors and fanfiction

I really hope not, unless Disney (who owns the rights) can get Tim Minear and Whedon involved. Otherwise, they’ll eff it up, royally.

Looks like there might be a first class false flag operation underway in Russia at the moment, complete with men in uniforms attacking a peaceful Opera House, filmed in HD from various angles almost like it was expected…
Guess pootie got tired of losing in Ukraine and wants an excuse to threaten to nuke them if they don’t submit forthwith, or perhaps he intends to blame one of the countries supporting them and invade them, like one of the Balkan states…never forget that he was head of the KGB…much like Bush the elder was head of the CIA

I was on the ‘Supplementary Ready Reserve’ list for 10 years after retiring, this looks like sort of the same thing except way too wordy, we only have two classes of military, retired and not retired πŸ˜‰ and if you’re retired you can’t be forced to go back. The last thing I’d want would be a bunch of pissed off retirees who didn’t want to be there and knew more ways to break things than anyone currently serving knew how to fix.

The first year I was in the SRR we had to report annually for a paperwork review and to prevent some common qualifications from expiring, but mostly to prove our uniforms still fit πŸ˜‰
We also got a reporting allowance, meals and mileage. That lasted one year then it went to an annual paperwork pckage you filled out and sent back, no allowance πŸ™
That lasted two years then it was just a periodic Security Clearance update by mail.

The original idea was that we’d take over the various office duties like record keeping, scheduling, etc. and some minor but still necessary jobs like unpacking things, keeping stocks of expendables replenished, tool crib or A/C towing. and free up serving personnel for the ‘wrenches in hands’ jobs on the line and shop floors since we’d be a little out of date with our A/C maintenance qualifications.

Good idea on paper, probably not so much in practice. I could maybe still do some of those today, but after 30 years I’m a little rusty πŸ˜‰

The SRR was completely voluntary and most only signed up for the $300 year reporting allowance, once that disappeared so did a lot of them. I couldn’t be bothered sending the paperwork in to quit πŸ˜‰
