The thought just occurred to me… Think of the current political maelstrom as being a slow social feedback mechanism.

Since WW2 or thereabouts, the leftist authoritarians have been working at infiltrating western societies. This isn’t organized or directed… rather the idea pathogens (tip of the hat to Dr Gad Saad) are spread slowly, mainly through the schools and governments. Every generation or so, they push to seize power/control but, so far, they’ve always end up failing.

This time, the push is more concerted than previous attempts. I don’t know whether it will be enough to awaken the slumbering unwashed masses. Certainly the results of the most recent election in the UK seems to indicate something.

Will Trump win re-election? It seems likely. Will the Democrats be decimated? Hard to say… If they are, will they change their tune or just keep screeching at the moon? Again, hard to say…

These idea pathogens are spread through the schools, and each generation of students is more heavily infected than the teachers that infected them. And each generation’s extremists are more extreme.
If there is a Republican sweep, the results may be terrible, or just a tempest in a teapot as a few of the farthest-out get smacked down.

Will the Democrats . . . change their tune or just keep screeching at the moon?

They cannot. They are tone deaf and utterly incapable of learning anything which does not fit their ideology.

They learned, far back, that the route to domination is control of the three main avenues to power: Education, Information and
      Entertainment.

They’ve had Information since the days of “Uncle Walter;” the Prussian model of teaching came to our shores around the turn of the last century, and the campus radicals of the 1960s are now in charge of Education; and Entertainment has been on a slow slide down the slippery slope since “High Noon.”

Reversing 100+ years of inch-by-inch inculcation will not be easy, nor will it be rapid. But it must be done if our Republic is to survive.

Wouldn’t it be interesting to see what a filibuster proof senate on the Republican side, coupled with Trump and a Republican house could accomplish….bet we’ll never see that, though it would either be the end of the democratic party, or, the end of the Republican party if they refused to act on that power….

So long as there are those who seek political power for its own sake there will be, alas, a Democratic Party.
It may or may not carry the same name, but it will never go away so long as we allow it the opportunity to continue to fester.
The first thing to address is their choke hold on the education system, for they have deliberately and systematically eliminated any semblance of training in Critical Thinking for the sake of appealing to the gullible masses they seek to bribe with other people’s (meaning our and our children’s) money.

Yes. The biggest problem, literally the elephant in the room, has forever been the sanction of legitimacy the GOP gives the “Democrats” (the spawn of Lenin crime syndicate). The moon may turn to green parmesan before that sanction is ever removed…

Whether they are fascists or communists or communitarian or whatever … they want control. Controlitarian? I have a hard enough time managing my own life, I neither need nor want their interference, even if it’s called “help”. I want freedom.

The term you are looking for is Authoritarian.
It is the very antithesis of the rule of law through the consent of the governed, and championed by idiots who think they can miraculously control it by wishing it so.

You beat me to it. Also, it is not just the left (although they seem to be taking it to absurd lengths). The Right can be just as tyrannical as the left. The only difference is their areas of concern. Of course, the real motive is power; some for its own sake and some under some agenda. The former is easier to deal with.

My personal favorite political analogy using animals is, of course, George Orwell’s novella “Animal Farm.”

The great ironic epiphany in Animal Farm occurs when one of the commandments for the Animal Farm is reinterpreted by the politburo pigs to be read as …

“ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL / BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.”

This phrase is a prime example of the systematic abuse of language and tortured logic by the pigs (i.e., the ruling party socialists) with the intention to control and dominate all the other animals of this dystopian farm.

I’ve heard this often repeated now for some time … for Conservatives, Republicans and Libertarians Orwell’s “1984” and “Animal Farm” are cautionary tales; for Democrats, Progressives and Leftists “1984” and “Animal Farm” are instruction manuals.

In a way Orwell was both a prophet and a fool.
In spite of all the intrinsic evils of Socialism he observed he remained a life long Socialist. The only thing I can think of that allowed for this is that he swallowed the argument of Jean-Jacques Rousseau that human nature was infinity malleable and hoped to change Mankind for the “better”.
He would have been wiser to pay more attention to Thomas Hobbes and the works of the Scottish Enlightenment.

What disqualifies all authoritarian forms of government from consideration is that it is human nature in the collective, not individual case that determines whether or not they can ever be run justly.
Psychopathy / sociopathy is a congenital, medical disorder. Something like 1% of all humans are born that way. In the absence of a cure, anyone who expects human nature as a whole to change for the better is a fool.

The demoncrats keep accusing Trump of having done something or everything for personal gain. But seeing the amount of familial profits demonicrats have been indulging in for decades I think they are taking offence to the thought that he’s doing it for America. They refuse to make that a complete thought – so now they’re the ones behind the curve and can’t conceive that Nationalism is back on the table.

I see that is one war we are in. After last week seeing those effeminate weird looking guys(?) wearing some kind of explosion in a paint and rag warehouse are the opposition? Anti-First Amendment troops?
If that is the main troops, they lose in a physical fight.
Society can end if a good number of them do not learn the many technical skills to keep the infrastucture operating.

Coronavirus Contains “HIV Insertions”, Stoking Fears Over Artificially Created Bioweapon

It responds to AIDS drugs but mutates very fast, so there will be a servant class needing medications for life to survive who’ll die horribly without, suppressing rebellions. And isolated uninfected populations who avoid strangers due to infectious carriers not showing symptoms, limiting the groups’ ability to work together for a common goal like defense or revolution.

    This might get interesting.

The problem with holding majorities in both houses is that is does conservatives no damn good. There are too many RINO’s in the party who are of the “Noble Loser” category. They make loud lion-like noises, but they know they don’t have to ‘hunt’ (produce any actual results) to get fed.

They spout platitudes that are wordy versions of “They foxed us again boys. We’ll get ’em next time for sure!” when defeated by the Demonrat Party. They never do. They don’t want to. It’s like the sad status quo in ‘Palestine’. -There’s no justification for more revenue, or power if the problems start getting solved.

We call them legislators; & brother they legislate with a will. It needs to stop because we’re paying them to forge the chains they put on us.

“When something cannot go on forever; it has to stop.” Don’t recall who said it first, but Jerry Pournelle was fond of repeating it on his website.
