Cracker Barrel is perennially the #1 restaurant in annual “people’s choice” surveys of RVers. But when I learned in 2014 that they were converting all their outlets into gun-free zones, they never saw another penny from our family.
Cracker Barrel used to be a favorite eating place for me. Love the chicken and dumplings, but now, off my lunch list. Why do businesses that want my money keep doing crap that stop me from spending at their places?
Idiocracy reigns supreme on some corporate boards. A loss of $90M and a 12% drop in share price would give reasonable directors pause. Reasonable people.
Here around Charleston, they haven’t changed the signs or decor, yet. Maybe the Rebel spirit will resist the Woke nonsense. I discovered Cracker Barrel 20 years ago, while stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood. I was very disappointed to find that Vermont was one of the few states that didn’t have them. The Woodchucks would have loved them, and the woke Flatlanders can go to hell!
They named it “Cracker Barrel” because country stores had a barrel that held soda crackers. There was a tendency to gather around the barrel and talk about local events, etc. It was supposed to convey a friendly atmosphere and a place where friend could meet.
When the food took continuing subtle shifts toward downhill I was done with them. Now this woke agenda? The left will destroy themselves to destroy Americana and its symbols of hard work, ingenuity, and self reliance. They despise us all that much! They are mentally twisted evil creatures who worship government and formost power over people. Sick excuses for human beings!
