The same thing happened up here, the liebral party was down to it’s last few rubles, barely even able to fund an election and then they ‘won’ and suddenly had the largest bank balance ever…after they got through looting the treasury and taking us from a budget surplus to record deficits.
the dem party down there is broke because they got cut off from all that ‘foreign aid’ and the ‘green investments’ got cancelled. The next time they get into office they’ll be back to a huge ‘warchest’ again..the average citizen will lose their shirts but that’s irrelevant, they’re supposed to be poor so they know what socialism feels like and can blame capatlism for their taxes going up.
