      They are but mere mortals,
strutting upon a stage that is not theirs to claim.
They have that dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country from whose bourne
No traveler returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of…

They may have seen Old Harry too many times
and think that they can pull it off.
      But remember you well
that both Usurpers in The Scottish Play
and in Hamlet lost, and badly, too.

By the way, the Obama portrait artist paints sperm in the background of many of his portraits.

” So, it’s either a vein — the very prominent vein in Obama’s forehead — or something else. Hey, we just report. You decide. ”

Snopes says no. But it was not the reputable cat reporting, so I don’t accept their analysis. There is a divide on this. Trump derangement Syndromers, globalists, Obamaphiles, and progressive types on one side, and realists on the other.
They just have to rub it in people’s faces.

(I knew I had a train of thought going somewhere with this…..)
These elitist tyrants don’t realize (or don’t care) that they are setting (themselves) up (for) the very same conditions that brought about the War of Independence over 200 years ago.
Except that we don’t need the French foreign aid that we needed then. If we could even get it now anyway.
And I don’t think, if it comes to AmRev II, that King Soros and the Elitist tyrants will have the crack battle hardened troops on their side, as King George III did.
Something else King Soros and these Elitist Tyrants need to consider………if they lose a war, where will they flee to……..besides the end of a rope?

Why would they fear that? Look around? Taxes are much higher than the piddly ones the colonists revolted over. The injustices, the flagrant violation of the Constitution, the loss of security and freedom, all worse than 242 years ago.
Modern ‘civilization’ breeds patience with tyranny. We should not allow the barbarians within our gates. Nor should we the aristocrats. Treat them both the same.

      It’s the Manson, or Helter Skelter scenario all over again;

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helter_Skelter_(Manson_scenario)

Put simply, Manson believed that multiple “terror killings” like the Tate-Labianca murders would be blamed on the Black Power movement, resulting in a race war in the U.S., which black males would win because of their “inherent physical superiority”.

BUT, afterward, these same physically superior black men would realize that they were too stupid to run the world, at which point Manson would show up from his desert hideaway, and they would beg him to rule it.

Similarly, the elite’ are counting on the physically powerful and ultra-violent Islamists, Arab, African (Somali) or otherwise, to lay waste to the West as demanded by the Holy Qur’an.

But after the Islamic Triumph, they are supposed to have a sudden epiphany, realize that they aren’t smart enough to actually run the Brave New World, and accordingly will beg- beg!– the “enlightened ones” to do it.

Ending with the self-defined “enlightened elite'” ruling without let or hindrance forever, with the Muslims as their adoring acolytes- and enforcers.

The endgame is a world as described un the novel and movie series the Hunger Games; a world with most of what’s left of humanity living like Bronze Age peasants, the “enlightened” leaders living like Max Quordlepleen & Co. in a Star Trekky 24th Century style Capitol, and a force of heavily armed stormtroopers with the only guns in existence enforcing the leaders’ will on the peasants.

No, don’t bother trying to explain to them why you can’t have a high-tech “rulership” with a low-tech technology base; they don’t understand tech to begin with, think it’s all magic as per Clarke’s Law (which none of them have ever even heard of), and believe that things they like exist simply because they want to have them.

And of course, they don’t want “the Great Unwashed” to have anything, because that makes their own scintillating lives less “special”- and the peasants don’t deserve it, the way the ruling class does.

I don’t know what passes for higher education at Harvard or Yale or whatever, but when I look at the products of that educational system in our self-defined ‘best and brightest”, I don’t see enlightenment or even much evidence of intelligence.

I see a bunch of overeducated idiots who have decided that they are gods, and intend to rule the world accordingly- and fuck everybody else.

Historically speaking, from Athens (the Peloponnesian War) to France (the Revolution, followed by the Terror), to Nazi Germany and every Communist state that ever was (the most recent example being Venezuela), that has never worked.

It has, however, killed a Hell of a lot of innocent people before the problem was solved. Usually by force of arms.

When the western Roman empire was conquered, the barbarians knew a good thing and decided to keep Rome in business. Those who ran the place were allowed to stay in office. That worked for a generation. Those who knew how to build roads, aqueducts, bridges and such were never replaced. Then, the ruination set in for a few hundred years.

      Too Tall

      Bill G,

The short version of the Dunning-Kruger effect applies: The “elites” are incapable of perceiving their own incompetence.

A smart person KNOWS that, due to the laws of probability and statistics, if nothing else, that there are likely to be others who are smarter, faster, stronger, and more capable. Thus, the smart person plans accordingly.

The “elites” FEEL that they are the best of the best, without any of that pesky empirical evidence.

Unintended consequences, dynamic analysis, multi-variable calculus, risk and other complex subjects are not only beyond their abilities, but the “elites” are truly blind to their existence.

I am not the smartest person in the room, nor on this thread. I have no idea as to what the future may bring.

But if the rhymes of history are any guide, it would appear that the United States will either have a Rule of Law (demonstrated by the empirical evidence of 9000+ current “elite” leaders being convicted and sent to prison), or we will devolve to a Rule of Force. And, to steal a phrase from Kurt Schlichter, Team Vinyl and Kale (the “elites”) will not fare very well at all.

What the “elites” are incapable of perceiving is that an attempt to do away with the Second Amendment will end the “Schrödinger’s Cat” nature of the “elite’s” current prattling, and result in a deterministic outcome that is highly unfavorable to them.

The motto of the elites is: “What Could Possibly Go Wrong?” Because, after all they are the best and brightest.

Thus, they truly believe they can bend to their will, 1.8 billon members of a religious, political, and social movement that has been at war with Western Civilization since the seventh century, and whose least educated adherent possesses a much longer view of history than any “elite” can possibly imagine.

A this talk of blind spots reminds of Frank Herbert’s “Dune” series; the Atreides, the Harkonnen, the Bene Gesseret, the Mentats……each seeking to look within at their own, and each other’s, blind spots.
But where these “elites” are taking the immediate, very short view, the Dune series looks at multi-generation, thousand year view. Makes even the Chinese look like pikers.

Those “deep state” mopes are so wrapped up in their own conceit and self-importance that it’s nearly a satire of reality. Without multiple “servants” to “do for them”, they are mired in the mud. The rats surrounding them would/will jump ship as quickly as any flea would leave one mongrel for another.

They can’t even fix their own sandwiches. But it would be fun to see what happens if they have to forage for themselves, wouldn’t it?
