Ian’s thinking wrong. If he was an Americano lawyer it would mean squat south of the border.
I’ve known tourists who go to Mexico, get into trouble, and demand their Constitutional Rights. They get reminded, real quick, that it’s the *United States Constitution,* and the U.S. doesn’t cross the Rio Grande.
That’s what you get for extendng your rights to those who don’t live there…you assume they’ll reciprocate, until you find out they didn’t.
Mexico requires a gov’t issued photo ID to vote, and you can only use that one, not a driver’s licence or anything else.
Most of the countries sending their criminals, insane and otherwise unemployable dregs north to get rid of them have much tighter entrance requirements for their own borders, and enforce them stringently.
Ian needs to complete his education by enlisting and then making it into Special Forces. Doesn’t matter whether it’s SEALS, scout sniper, or Green Beret. He needs to learn the correct definition of “protect” and develop the ability to do it.
Speaking of Green Berets, my stepson spent a few tours in the sandy lands doing horrible things so he’s got a head full of PTSD. He’s been living in the Philippines for a couple of years. Currently he’s in the hospital after a car accident. His wife (not sure if they’re legally married or ??) initially said he might not make it.
If anyone has a prayer to spare, his name is James (Jimbo) Hargett.
The Filipino police dropped by to confirm his personal details. They told James the other driver had a dash-cam which showed James did nothing wrong. The other driver swerved wide around a parked car and hit James on the opposite side of the road. As odd as this might sound, that is a relief for me.
One of the effects of his PTSD is James has blackouts. What normally happens (although this will not sound normal) is he gets a headache, begins showing signs of exhaustion and then lays down to black out. He is usually out for at least an hour and has zero recall from the moment of the headache.
So I wondered if James had blacked out while driving which would probably mean he needed to surrender his license but that’s not the case.
He sent pictures and he looks like he wrestled a bear; cuts on his face & head, bruising on his upper chest and neck.

Sounds reasonable to me as a father of girls myself.

Neither of us has bent a crowbar, but DW successfully bent our pickaxe last week.

Unless he bends that crowbar right now.

Ian needs to step up to this level:

Wayne M–prayers sent.
Thanks for the prayers, ladies and gentlemen. James awakened late this afternoon. He’s already chaffing about being bored and stuck in a hospital bed.
🙂
