        They live in a constant state of fear- of themselves. It’s why they are “joiners”, always looking for other people they can mob up with.

        When they say (as Hillary did) “Stronger Together”, they really mean “I’m nothing without a cause to justify myself to myself”.

        As such, they are easily “led”. And become the “foot soldiers” for those who seek to disarm everyone else so that “everyone else” is defenseless against what they want to do to them.

        A tyrant does not want the peasants to be able to resist when he decides to abuse or torture them. Or just kill them.

        The basic message of tyranny is, “Obey Me Or Die”. It’s difficult to get away with that when the intended serf can resist by hurting or killing you.

        As to why the tyrant thinks this way, he believes in his own innate superiority. He also believes that life isn’t giving him what he deserves unless he gets to be a god.

        His “deal” with you is always,

        “Obey me in all things and I will not kill you- immediately. However, I reserve my privilege of killing you at some time in the future if it would amuse me to do so.

        The “follower” and the tyrant are always a bad combination for everybody else.

    OT: Nightmare
    I had a nightmare the other night. In it the Dems had their convention next year and there were still almost a dozen of the current 18 still more or less in the running (some hanging on by their fingernails) and nobody was within a country mile of winning; there wasn’t even anything resembling a clear leader. The various state delegates voted as they were required to by law but nothing was even in the same county as settled. The convention continued with all itsplanned hoopla and behind the scenes the kingmakers and would-be kingmakers wheeled and “dealed” and nothing constructive was accomplished. On the 4th and final night As the governor of some state or another was speaking, there was a bit of a commotion off state to the audience’s left. After looking hard to his right for a few moments, the speaker looked at the assembled delegates and spoke, “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s face it. We are deadlocked here. Oh we’ve narrowed the field a bit – there are only 6 real contenders now – but there is no one behind whom the party can rally; no one who can unite us all to eliminate the pernicious, overbearing and unconstitutional evil embodied in the personage of Donald J Trump! But someone has stepped up. Someone who has taken up the gauntlet and accepted the challenge of completing the fundamental reformation of our society begun by Nobel Laureate, Barack Hussein Obama! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the party’s last, best hope, HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON!!!” At that point, Hillary walked confidently and powerfully onto the stage waving and smiling that smile of hers. The packed hall responds with a thunderous applause and soon breaks out into a growing chant of “HIL . . . LAR . . . RY! HIL . . . LAR . . . RY!” After a seeming eternity (which was actually more like 5 minutes) the Chairperson of the convention steps up to the podium and starts banging a gavel and calling “Order! Order! The Convention will come to order!” As the Chairperson continued to pound her gavel and call for order, the hall gradually became silent and took their seats. Hillary by this time is standing quietly, hands to her sides with a small smile on her face. A woman in the middle of the throng stands up and calls out “Madam Chairperson! Madam Chairperson!” The woman behind the podium says, “The chair recognizes the delegate from the great state of New York.” The person standing says, “Madam Chairperson, in view of the convention’s seeming unbreakable deadlock, I move to nominate former Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton to be this party’s candidate for the office of President of the United States of America!” At point the hall erupts in another round of standing ovation and chants of “HIL . . . LAR . . . RY! HIL . . . LAR . . . RY!”. After a few moments of this the chair again gavels the hall to order. After the delegates have returned to their seats, the chair says, “The motion has been made to nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton as the candidate of our party for the office of President. Do I hear a second?” Throughout the hall ring out multiple cries of “Second”.
    “A motion has been made in this hall and seconded. All in favor say ‘Aye'” and the hall broke out into a riot of people calling “AYE!”
    “Those opposed?” {silence}
    “The ‘ayes’ have it! Fellow delegates, ladies and gentlemen I present to you the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES,

    HILLARY . . . .

    RODHAM . . . .

    CLINTON!!!!!!!!!

    At that point I awoke in a terrible cold sweat, telling myself over and over and over “It was only a dream! It was only a dream!”

    I hope that is all it was!

      It wouldn’t be the first time. You pretty much described the way Samuel Tilden actually got the Democratic nomination in 1876.

      The election and its aftermath in many ways paralleled the presidential election of 2016.

      When Tilden lost the general election to Rutherford B. Hayes, the Democrats did what Democrats always do- tried to cheat their way to victory, in this case by bribing electors to switch their votes from Hayes to Tilden;

      https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/the-19th-century-election-that-predicted-the-mueller-mess/

      Note that you will not find any mention of this in the Wikipedia or U.S. Government website pages regarding that election. They define Hayes as an “illegitimate” President.

      To get the full story, see The Codebreakers by David Kahn, Macmillan, 1967, chapter 7, “Crises of the Union”, pp. 221-229. Note that this chapter is only found in the full-length, “encyclopedic” version of the book, not the “abridged” version.

      From the rape of Nanking to the Kwantung Army and Gen. Ishii Shiro’s Unit 731, it’s very difficult to imagine any atrocity the Japanese didn’t conceive or commit in China from 1932 to 1945;

      As for “comfort women”, that seems to have been SOP with every army the Axis had, such as the Wehrmacht;

      Not to mention the Italians;

      https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=53485

      Incidentally, the German system was based on one they’d used in both the Franco-Prussian war (1870-71) and WW1.

      On the Allied side, the Russians had a similar system in WW1;

      http://www.pravdareport.com/society/88868-army_sex/

      In ww2, they didn’t bother with having a system;

      I find it indicative that the “English-speaking concordiat” of the Americans and the Commonwealth forces, plus their subordinate exile contingents (French, Polish, etc.) were the only combatants that didn’t behave this way.

      I won’t go into the history of such in Islam’s past and present. That would require something the size of the 1969 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica. Fourteen centuries’ worth, to be exact.

      Another example of the fact that while “race” is not destiny, “culture” absolutely is. It’s the operating system of a society. And like any OS, it’s a case of GIGO.

      Think of this the next time somebody waxes eloquent about how “All cultures are equal, except for ours, which sucks”.

      Those who romance The Other often don’t want to look too closely at the history of same.

    I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with this one. Even the Japanese scholars put the number of comfort women to at least 20,000 and other researchers to at least 200,000. There is just too much evidence to support this, including first hand accounts from surviving witnesses. to me, this is like a holocaust denial.

    The comfort women, in vast numbers were real.

    Michael Yon is on my permanent blacklist. He launched a “stolen valor” personal attack on a former colleague, based upon zero evidence and a whole lotta spite. When we with personal knowledge and the backing documentation challenged Yon, he blocked us from his social media and continued the attacks. When colleague finally filed a libel suit, Yon ran to Thailand, where he still hides from his actions.

    Looking at the whole of his writings, he decides on a conclusion, then adds little to no supporting evidence — only that which supports his already decided upon conclusion. In short, he’s a hack.

      I found this angry missive from a MSG C.J. Grisham around 2013, threatening to sue Michael Yon if he ever returns from Thailand, about a “stolen valor” charge concerning a Bronze Star Medal with Valor. Down in the comments someone said Grisham should just post the BSM/V citation to end the controversy, and it turns into a ‘I’m not giving him the satisfaction!’ Obama long-form birth certificate moment.

      C.J. Grisham founded Open Carry Texas, lost the Republican primary for Texas House of Representatives District 55 on March 6, 2018. Was known for a June 22 2017 Facebook comment, “I’m done feeling bad when cops get shot”, got arrested a few weeks after the primary but charges were dropped. Apparently he likes stirring things up with law enforcement, I’m reading a piece about when he was convicted in 2013, “Open Carry Texas is becoming the Code Pink of the Second Amendment.”

      Is that the guy?

      @MAJ Arkay,

      This may not be the time but since you did mention blacklisting of authors, I would refer you back to your high praise of one who deserves to be on that list if anyone does, the anointed academic cum “historisan” James McPherson.

      In fact, the entirety of your last paragraph here can and should be applied to this particular “hack” who quoted reams of quotes, letters, and diaries of the soldiers on both sides of the Civil War, only to interject his own preconceived conclusions that are in direct opposition to the ones he quoted when the true facts did not align with his created ones. Amazingly but not surprisingly his work of editorial fiction is universally adopted as definitive truth among his academic colleagues to further inculcate entire generations of students to the extent that many accept and believe its completely partisan narrative as truth.

      Could there be a closer parallel to the lies of media and academia today in the total denial of fact and the production of their own opinions and outright lies to support their agenda?

      Even Notre Dame Cathedral and Saint Peter’s are just physical material objects.
      If it serves to highlight the SHTF that is occurring across much of the world, then the cost of its loss is minor.
      SHTF is here. It has begun. The mass invasion of hostile, incompatible, destructive masses of people directed by those who intentionally are using them to destroy the advanced and industrial civilizations that they can. The result over the past 50 years as it has developed nto the open hostile aggressiv3ely defended attack that it is today has been considerable.
      How many people belonging to Western Civilization and acculturated as we used to be have not been born to the laws and regulations devised and implemented against those in civilizations like ours.
      The goal is continuation of the people and of the culture. That has been directly countered by acts that destroy ours and replace it with those incompatible with our culture.
      A direct invasion by armies would be defeated by the USA or the other nations with cultures compatible with ours.
      A number of EMP producing bombs or direct bombs would destroy the industrial base the enemy still want. It also would produce possible direct death by retaliation of various forms against those directing the attacks.
      So far there has been no retaliation against the enemies destroying Western Civilization. Some preparation seems to have been made, but not implemented yet.
      Meanwhile even the preppers are not safe from the invasion as it is occurring now. The damage to lives, families, jobs, income, and the civilization continues.
      This is a problem. This is a war. This has been seen. The enemy continues no matter what and gaslights any idea that it is losing.

I think the gun control movement is what they see in the “Yellow Vest” protests in France, as well as the Venezuelan situation. If either location had the weaponry of the U.S.A. at the local level….things would be playing out differently. In both those states, the government has the upper hand. Many Australian and Dutch women captured in what is now Indonesia reported being used locally by the Japanese forces. Plus we know that many POWs sadly died when their ships got sunk by Allied forces, including women.
