She likely cant afford to pay her security, until they get off furlough as well, hate for her to be at all bothered by the rabble outside the bubble she lives in, I mean, she might get breathed on, or even might have to wait in traffic, heaven forbid.
The left appears to be imploding upon itself, and constantly looking for a new target of opportunity to force to “confess” to their crimes against the tribe, From the fake stories about those catholic teens, to twitter ignoring and covering for those who demanded violence against those minors on all sides. The Left wont police itself, and be patient as the “news” comes out. I imagine the top “elites” of the far left are about as scared of their own mob vigilantism, as they are of the MSM actually growing a pair and reporting honestly. They should be, nothing is harder to control then the fickle nature of the mob. I hope this continues, as nothing disinfects like sunlight/truth.

She’s claiming a security concern because of all the rabid Democrat Congressvermin who want Trump’s head…

There is no constitutional requirement that the SOTU be given orally in the House of Representatives. A written report should be submitted to both Houses. And the President should give a speech version at any venue he wants, with any guests that he wants.

There is a security risk in giving an address in the House. That many Democrats in one place has to include several who would gladly become martyrs to the Revolution by trying to kill President Trump. They are not our countrymen anymore. We are already descending into Kurt Schlichter’s “People’s Republic”.

Actually, Pres. Trump could put a big box of tissues on his desk in the Oval Office, and give the SOTU from there. After all, when Jack Kennedy announced the Naval blockade of Cuba, he did it on national television, instead of going to either House to tell them.
We’ll see how this silly business with Pelosi plays out.

Well, it does give President Trump the opportunity to deliver the State of the Union address entirely electronically.
It would be very 21st Century of him.
The next step is to make the whole of Congress stay in their native States/Districts and never set foot in Washington.

Let them hole up in their House and die there; won’t be long.

As to PDJT and the address, fuck electronics on this one, get on AF One and hit the trail campaign style where he will draw the same huge crowds and attention he always has. After all this is essentially about his primary campaign pledge, to get our borders secured against the rampant invasion that will otherwise consume it and kill it…he needs to double down on that pledge now and get loud and fiery on that stage, it’s what he does best and he has the strength of his convictions and our support.

Get out there and rally the troops, we are still there and waiting for this, the most important issue facing the Republic today.

A traveling in-person series of State of The Union -and in fact Future of The Union- fire and brimstone Trump rallies.

Except the State Of The Union is delivered to Congress, not the people, according to the Constitution.

That would be the brief note with bullet points delivered on paper to a all of the congressvermin.

The Cross Country Delivery to the People Rally would be:

The State of the People of the Union Addresses.

      • January 24, 2019 at 11:36 pm

GWB, as if every C-Critter wouldn’t be glued to it and hanging on every word -and every screaming standing ovation from the studio (stadium) audience?

He’s addressing them, but he’s talking to us.

    Subotai Bahadur,
    I mostly agree.

    The Constitution sez, Article II, Section 3;
“He (the President) shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient………..”

The Constitution doesn’t say anything about asking the Speaker of the House’s permission, or giving the SOTUA in the chambers of the House of Representatives.
It is TRADITION that the SOTUA is done in this time and fashion, but there is no LAW mandating that it MUST be done in this way.
So President Trump could give the SOTUA from the Senate chambers, or even the Oval Office.
As for Botox Nan, who does she think she is, to stop the SOTUA by withholding her permission? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (I wish someone would do that, laugh long and loud, in her face, recorded and broadcast to the world. Better yet, I wish it were ME laughing in her face)
And the Secret Service has already said that they have security covered.

So BRING IT, President Trump. We, the constituent base that voted for you and helped put you into office, await to see what you will say, what the DeMSM presstitutes will attempt to rebut about it, and how many Libtard DildoCrat heads will go ‘splody (especially Botox Nan’s).

Having the President ask for permission to address Congress goes back to George Washington, and it was a deliberate decision to contrast with England where the King was superior to Parliament. Since Congress is at the same level as the President, neither one can just walk in on the other.

This wasn’t codified in the Constitution, but the first time that Washington went over to address Congress, they had the Sergent at Arms tell him to wait while they debated if he needed an invitation or not. Washington got tired of waiting and left while they were debating (IIRC, he was already a bit ticked off at something, which is why he was there in the first place)

Jan 29, 9PM EST, from the Senate chamber as was offered. Just quietly bring in all the Republican Reps and Senators, it’s tight seating if the Dems show up, invite Fox to provide pool footage. Ten minutes before the start they notify the other networks the SOTUA is going live, watch the media scramble.

When Pelosi whines her party wasn’t invited, Trump will tell her he emailed a written copy like she wanted, check her inbox. That would be so sweet.

We were chatting at lunch and one of the guys suggested Pelosi’s delaying tactics are part of a larger psy-op organized by someone else… SanFranNan is only a figurehead. After we all stopped laughing and went back to work, I’ve been rolling the concept around and I can’t see it. Am I missing something?

SanFranNan and UpChuck Schumer are swinging to the far left chasing votes… and since they believe they’ve convinced everyone that DJT is a far-right orangeman, they believe they have to fight everything he does regardless how big or small. I can’t conceive how anyone could influence the Dems so thoroughly to have persuaded them to embrace such ridiculous policies.

The President is mainly a symbol to them. A stand-in for the roughly half of Americans who voted for him, which they hate about the same way the Eich hated the Arisians.

“Co-existence” is not in their Visualization of the Cosmic All. They seek the extermination of any who dare to not bow to them and their Utopia.

If they could hit Flyover Country with an inert planet, and survive the resulting disruption, they would.

Never confuse “petty” with “genocidally deranged”.

As for what they should do, they might want to consider what Cartiff said about the iceberg.

Unless I read it wrong, the President cannot be denied entry onto the floor of either house, but the Speaker/ President Pro Tem does not have to recognize him. If I were President Trump, I would show up at the appointed time, and after a decent amount of time to be recognized, I’d leave, call a Press Conference at the White House (have it pre-arranged?) And during the conference let the public know that I had attempted to make the SOTUA, and had been rebuffed. I’m off the hook for another year, and SanFranNan has to explain HER actions to the public!

For any who are interested this is a pretty good synopsis of the insanity that affected my little town yesterday…

    GLMPX-22W Internet #305590235

Recent Hoosier transplant and apparent wackjob that just wanted to kill some people it seems…not much you can do to prevent that shit unless you are there and shoot him first. Of course at the end of that NYT piece is the gratuitous promo of their gungrabber narrative but not the radical breaking out of their blood-dancing shoes and claim that somehow if they take my guns and yours, things like this wouldn’t happen. Because then they make the inadvertent admission that a whole new package of antigun laws perpetrated by our turncoat former governer now senator Scott didn’t -and can’t and wont- have any effect at all on this kind of sick societal illness, and it then becomes obvious to any sentient being that the only defense against it is the tool in your possession and the ability to use it.

In this case the POS herded and murdered all five people in that bank, all females, four employees and one customer…whether that was by chance or by design is an open question; did he know the employees are barred from possessing a gun on the job and the lady customer was unlikely to?

But the whole thing shows once again that crazy shit can happen anytime and anywhere, and even as the authorities (in this case mostly my longtime LE acquaintances) are lauded for their fast response, that old self-defense mantra rings true once again…

“When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away”.

If that lady customer was armed might the outcome have been different? We’ll never know, but there might have been a chance and for sure the right for her to try shall not be infringed.

God keep and comfort the souls of these innocent women and their families.
