Oh, Red has assumed the position much closer than that, or at least her 1776 alter-ego did…white stockings and all, mmm.
Too lazy to find the pic to link, but it’s also included in the swag for the donation levels.

Yoga loosens the connective tissues and gives you increased flexibility. But strength training strengthtens connective tissues providing enhanced flexibility, besides being good for building bone density and mass.
So yoga and strength training conflict, pick one. If you train for strength you won’t be able to flex as far as with yoga, but you’ll be less likely to get injured.

I am inclined to think that it’s more complex. One could have (say) 90% of maximum possible flexibility and 10% of maximum possible strength, or the opposite. The question is what if you train for both? Do you get to 20%-20%? Can you be 50%-50%? Is 80%-80% of each maximum possible? I really don’t know what the limits are (although I’m sure I can become much higher in each.)

Ottersmith, 1940s bodybuilder John Grimek achieved high levels of both strength and flexibility. Perhaps 100%/75%. He was a member oF the US Olympic weight lifting team and famously performed splits and other feats of flexibility to debunk the idea that weight training made one muscle bound.

I am a proponent of the yoga & strength training combo. That’s for both genders. After all, no sense having a lady who is hella flexible if the dude can’t keep up… so to speak…
Texas seems hot to this displaced Canuck but it’s only for a few more days. I’ll survive… if I can keep up… so to speak…

I won’t be able to lift 90 pounds anymore, but why should I at my age.

So far, Trump’s “bluffs” have been ones nobody is willing to call. Probably because people in the international business community that have dealt with him for decades have been telling their political cronies that he rarely bluffs.
As for his follow-though on things like the wall, to paraphrase what Morpheus said to Neo, he needs to stop trying to hit them and actually hit them.
Funny, but check out kadaka’s link at the top in answer to my innocent and hopeful request, and all such thoughts will leave you forever…you might even get violently ill.

Ultimately, if DT -and we- are going to do the last thing she said, we may have to do the first thing she said. Hope I’m wrong.

Beautiful effort today BTW…but I’m having trouble with the whole pinning of legs behind ears thing and find myself needing a visual aid, please.

Carrot and stick.
Trump’s favorite dichotomy. As long as you get what you want, you don’t always have to use the stick.
