So, it seems to be going as predicted. Zed’s sister in law is going to become his step-girlfriend.

Nah,he’s too old for her,and he’s still in love with Claudia.

Heh love it. Even crazy liberal womyn love real country boys.

  • December 21, 2014 at 10:42 pm

Will the little filly be broken in by bare back riding, or having her bare backside reddened?

    • December 21, 2014 at 11:10 pm

    • December 22, 2014 at 11:47 am

Do you really think Muir will go there?

  • December 21, 2014 at 10:59 pm

I think Skye is going to have her version of reality re-written.
Wade is an Accountability kind of Man.

Chris-this will be interesting to watch.

  • December 22, 2014 at 12:00 am

Somehow, I knew Wade would have that kind of impact on Skye.

  • December 22, 2014 at 1:30 am

If anybody can fix Skye, it will be Wade.

  • December 22, 2014 at 2:36 am

Wade’s got that Sam Elliot thing going on Skye, be interesting to see where Chris takes it….

I thought he got rid of the pet Prog??

    • December 22, 2014 at 8:16 am

Seems you are well under control here, though I don’t see any “male chauvinists”, so this kind of control you must like.
What do librarians do these days, seems like the interwebnet makes pretty much all information easily accessible. Oh BTW, any strong offspring to speak of?

Why would he take them down? Your case is much more effectively damaged by leaving them up. Give my sympathy to your fiancee.

you are the most annoying thing in any of the blogs I read. Comments for the sake of trolling. I think I have seen you troll yourself on multiple occasions. A ban hammering would be too good for you, except it would keep your keystroke herpes away from the rest of us.

  • December 22, 2014 at 9:24 am
    Unca Walt

I feel sorry for the unhappy troll. No smiles, no laughter.

Chris, your strip brightens my day. It is clear that like me, you love women.

  • December 22, 2014 at 9:36 am

I don’t understand why trolls come to these sites and complain about “titty” drawings. They don’t ask for their money back or leave.
    Oh Wait!

    • December 22, 2014 at 10:04 am

Sweetie you do have a problem with titty drawings or you would never have brought it up.
If Chris “has a right” then he does. Quitchayourbitchin.
Go draw your own comic the way you feel all comics should be and leave Chris and the rest of us that enjoy this comic ALONE!

      • December 22, 2014 at 1:28 pm

Amen. If you’ve got a problem with Chris, spend a decade developing characters, learn how to both draw and write, then put out something to counter him. Otherwise, if you don’t like it, leave.

    • December 22, 2014 at 10:09 am

Then why complain about your posts getting deleted at all, or don’t you detect irony when the source is yourself?

  • December 22, 2014 at 10:49 am
    Earl Goudie

This is Chris Muir’s strip and he can draw what he likes, how he likes.
I have been a loyal reader for years because I like what he draws and how he draws it.
I agree with RayNAiken, if you don’t like the strip then just P.O. and leave it to those of us who do.
Chris, you just keep on keepin’-on!!

Even so, it does more damage to her cause to leave them up. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. This is a political strip, after all (not that theres anuthing wrong with that!)

      Love the strip BTW

  • December 22, 2014 at 11:00 am

I think I’m losing it ( mental vision of Wade and Skye naked )…come on Wade ride that little filly and put her away wet.

  • December 22, 2014 at 11:08 am

Chris, you’re far to experienced at this.

I’ve seen the same look of delight in her eyes at being told what expectations are of her behavior. The measure she can compare herself to.

And then turn right around and wail about how men have no right to have any expectations of anyone, especially their wives / girlfriends. Not “unreasonable expectations” as would be imposed by an abuser, but any expectations stated by men.

I can see how (the submissive, and subjugated) Sam would negotiate (control?) what those expectations would be, while (the liberal, and in-dependent) Skye decries that society (men?) is imposing it’s values on how she lives her life. Yet, doesn’t do anything to change what they are.

    Keep’em coming, mister.

p.s. I took on this nom de plume after working for some foreign nationals who kept referring to me as their “american dalit”. i.e. American No Value – Less Than Nothing. (Didn’t work out well for them; after I “got some learn’in”.)

    • December 22, 2014 at 2:08 pm

Wait – Sam is subjugated and submissive? *blinkblink* We must be working from different dictionaries.

(In my world, which I admit seems increasingly old-fashioned by the day, it’s not ‘submission’ to CHOOSE to act in a way which does not hurt or offend others, while still being an independent, strong woman – it’s being merely considerate. There is no real sacrifice of the self that I see going on here!)

    • December 22, 2014 at 2:09 pm

Just adding, American_Dalit, that while it’s in response to you, I recognize you were quoting here. 🙂 No sniping from the sidelines atcha, I promise!

As for Skye, no matter where she goes, (unless she just runs off) she is being influence by good people.
The Don put her to work and it looks like Wade will lay down the law.
After all look how much Jan has changed over the years. I have no fear for Skye.

      Grunt GI

hmmm…maybe you’re right…she just needs a good “straightening out” by Wade.

    Bad Cyborg

Sorry folks, Skye is a dyed in the wool lib and I don’t think liberalism CAN be “fixed”. How long have Damon and Jan been together? And Jan is still Jan. If you’d done your homework and read AC’s “Evolutionary Psychology” you’d know that there is a strong genetic and anatomical basis to liberalism. Makes me wonder how true the conversion of allegedly “former” libs such as David Horowitz and Michael Medved actually is.

Note to Chris, by the time I get here every day Iphigenia’s posts have already been deleted. How about leaving them up?

    • December 22, 2014 at 1:49 pm
      Chris Muir

      No.Give ’em an inch,they take a mile.

      • December 23, 2014 at 4:46 am

The “real” Iphigenia was a nasty piece of work, too. Some (was it Euripedes?) allude to her escaping being sacrificed, and becoming a priestess of Diana, but methinks _this_ Iphigenia worships between Sappho’s thighs.

(I like taking advantaged of her being able to read this but not respond 😉

OK. Your strip; your rules. You’re the boss here. Don’t reckon I’ll suffer too terribly much for not being exposed to her rantings.

    • December 22, 2014 at 10:18 pm

Besides, if Skye gets straightened out, the strip would have to introduce yet another character for when it needs to represent the low-entropy American.

  • December 22, 2014 at 7:30 pm

Aside from the prescient commentary in DBD,so many of the strips (like today’s) make me laugh out loud. You are also constantly increasing the visual verisimilitude of your characters (dig the foreshortening, dang hard to do). The conceptual verisimilitude of the characters is likewise getting better and better; they seem very consistent and unique – individuals.

My son is finishing up his graphics degree at VCU and loves the comix format. I tell him “yup, make it look good, sure, but have a compelling story to tell with characters that I’ll care about”. Sort of a definition of DBD, one might say.

Keep on keeping on; DBD is part of my daily ritual just for the commentary on the foul state of affairs in America today, but I also care about what your alter egos will do next. Almost as much as the commentary; I think they call it art. RW
