And when they play these games, thinking hey are “winning” it might be suggested to them that old Italian Proverb:

“At the end of the game, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.”

So the guy who is incompetent to stand trial still has the Football. If every Republican candidate doesn’t pounce on this, they’re as incompetent as the President.

Unfortunately, both parties have for decades been playing Monopoly with the U.S. budget.

What’s interesting is that the special counsel did NOT say he was a sympathetic old man etc. He said that he would present himself to a jury as such. He assumed the right jury would buy it. That’s the only way his lawyers could play it to get him off. It’s just a warped game to them.

I’m also gagging on the “sympathetic and well-meaning” part!

The hypocrisy is so blatant! The corrupt criminal hair sniffing president gets a pass on everything. The woke Marxists that riot and burn cities get a pass. The illegals that invade our country and commit violent crimes get a pass.

But the tax paying, law abiding, decent American citizens get treated like criminals???

Fact of the matter is that this is a set up to get rid of ComaJoe who’s been a liability to the Democrats ever since he can’t read the script or finish a speech without wandering off the stage.

Republicans should just stand back and let the commiecrats own all of this, right down to the humiliating expulsion from office of the demented old man.

They’ve had the Injustice Department gamed for decades. I can recall when Ted the Baptist left the car and the girl in the river overnight. No call to authorities until he had a chance to sleep it off, er, I mean, pray for guidance, and no consequences for doing it.
And his supporters sobbed over the injustice of it, with the injustice being that he’d never be able to run for President. Mary Jo Kopechne’s death? Meaningless to them.

What’s the expiration date on the Get Out Of Jail card?

This, from Trump’s latest rally: ““We’re doing something that’s never been done before. We’re straightening out a mess.” Notice the present tense (!!!), notice the “we” (!!!). Almost makes one wonder what’s really been going on…?

Get Biden committed, get Trump disqualified, and force both parties to put up real choices.
    Then dismantle the damn parties!

Get Trump disqualified on what basis? Dismantle both parties how?

You’re probably not old enough to remember what happened when the Communist party was outlawed, so I’ll help you out. The commies all migrated to the Democrat party, which then swung hard left.

The blue dog Dems got chased out of the party by the wave of incoming commies, and migrated to the Republican party, swinging THEM left.

The old conservative Republicans didn’t have anywhere to go, so they held on as a fringe group in a party now run by the old ‘moderate’ and liberal wings of the party, and the immigrant Dems running from the commies, but still democrat at heart.

Did you think the RINOs just appeared out of nowhere one day?

I didn’t ask for a legitimate disqualification, that would be too much to ask from our society today.
What I mean is that he is not good for the country now. Too much baggage, too much hatred.
And you’re probably right about the parties, it’s too late to put that evil genie back in the bottle. Probably what would help a lot more would be 3 or 4 NEW parties, each with narrower focus. This would allow for a wider selection for the population to choose from.
Alternately, my favorite solution, which is impractical in many respects, is to have a “None of the Above” choice on all races on all ballots. If “None of the Above” wins, all candidates are disqualified and the parties have 90 Days to offer a new slate. “No more voting for lesser of two evils!

Libertarians go you one better. From their platform: if NOTA wins, the office is left unfunded and unfilled for an entire term. That would sure concentrate some kingmakers’ minds wonderfully.

        One quibble;

The Communist Party was never “outlawed” in the United States. Neither was the Nazi Party.

I had to put up with “card-carrying” members of both the ANP (American National [Socialist] Party) and the CPUSA (Communist Party of the United States of America) all through high school and college in OH in the 1970s.

Most of them were also registered Democrats, as were most of the very few “KluKKers” still around back then.

All three lots found more common ground with the progressive Democrats than they did with any sort of Republican.

And PS- most of my female relations (aunts) were hardcore FDR New Deal Dems who didn’t see much wrong with CPUSA and had no problems at all with ANP or KKK. As one of them liked to say, “We need those (n-word)’s votes to keep the damn Republicans out of office, but we don’t want ’em living anywhere close to us”.

Fascism and Communism tend to flock with other forms of socialism. Like “progressivism”.

I saw it first-hand in the family I grew up in. And yes, when I registered as a Republican, and went into law enforcement, they about crapped their delicate undies.

We are in for a bumpy ride between now and November. Our adversaries abroad are appreciative of how our domestic adversaries have set us up for a tumble. Curiouser and curiouser and down we go into that hole. Only problem is, Alice wasn’t dropping acid and senile. Our RINOs and Demo-nazis are on drugs, the main drug being power, and they don’t want to kick the habit when they can kick us instead. Put on your Kevlar, and keep your weapons clean and your ammo dry.
