Odds are fair, even in the most deranged places. Who else holds SF and DC together, keeps the lights on, etc? They’re just on the quiet side, for reasons any of us can guess. Much more quiet than the Septum Sisters, certainly, so they’re harder to notice unless you’re there.
They stay quite due to the aggressive prosecution of conservatives by the leftist DAs and courts. They also have a fair amount of the public that is against them as we can see by the current resistance to deportation efforts. As we have learned in many previous guerilla war efforts, it is hard to fight against the PTB without a decent percentage of the public on your side, unless one wants to use fear to “win” them over which is also not good or right.
At some point, the good folks will have nothing else to lose and will rise.
