Hard to tell the women and men apart anymore. I used to say that it is God’s plan for man to protect and provide, and for woman to nurse and nurture. And they used to and we thrived. Anymore neither sex does any of that worth a shit. And we ain’t thriving worth a shit.

I can tell that redhead apart from a man pretty good though. That denim has got to be rubbing those nipples raw. How hot is that?

    • the Chicken of Depression

i think she’s wearing a blue apron or something under the over alls, least ways there seems to be some sort of hanging shoulder strap and blue fabric up around the nipular and hip areas.

      • Depressed Chickens got good eyes! (sounds like a Walt Kelley quote).

I believe you are right; and as those straps are awry, it appears to be held up entirely by pressure fit, still totally hot. And those bibs in general as we have commented before, are awesome on her.

Various ones of the “intellectual” or “feeling” type fairly often find a reason, or not, to let me know they are not happy with something or the manufacturer broken or worn out that needs help.
These days my standard answer is: Yup. That happens.
I’m not interested in fixing or building things for ungrateful people.

    • DCE

I have the same feeling as well. Why should I strive to fix/build things for people who are ungrateful, or worse, condescending and openly hostile? Let them do it themselves. (Of course, this assumes they are capable of doing so, which I doubt is the case.)

Maybe it is time for those of us who build and maintain civilization to Go Galt – withdraw to our various ‘Galt’s Gulch’ retreats and let them deal with the fallout from their delusional views of “How Things Work”. How will they handle it when they flip that light switch and nothing happens, try to use their smart phones and the only thing they see on the display is “No Service”, go to the gas station and find there’s no fuel available (or power to pump it even if there is gas), or find all of the grocery stores dark and empty?

      • Advo

I work at a power plant. Back in 1983 when I was in the Midwest, a friend was giving plant tours, including the pair of 1,000 MW generators laid out end to end. After the tour, a little old lady asked him why they went to so much trouble to get electricity. All she did was flip a switch.

Your How Things Work reminded me of that.

        • interventor

One of the original encyclopedias, published in France, included detailed descriptions of how things worked and were made. Sold very well.

  • Too Tall

The Biden* administration decisively and conclusively demonstrated this week that the United States will no longer honor its treaty responsibilities and that we cannot be trusted as an ally.

This was simply a dress rehearsal for when the United States repudiates its debt and devalues what little is left of its currency in the face of rising inflation and interest rates In the next few months.

  • James/G

I did the numbers. We have 10,000 civilians trapped at Kabul’s airport, and maybe as many as 40,000 trapped behind Taliban lines. Add in allied civilians (French German, etc), and Afghans that will be murdered by the Taliban if we leave them… That’s seventy to one hundred thousand people we’re trying to evacuate. At Orlando international airport, that’s a slow day. Out of Kabul, with enemy troops all around? I figure sixty days, if the Taliban don’t get froggy.

I give it three weeks before it flies off the rails.

I don’t know whether the Kabul situation is more analogous to Dien Bien Phu for the French in ‘54, or Dunkirk (w/o the Channel & boats) for the Brits in ‘40. Maybe Khe Sanh in ‘68. With Xiden as the alleged C in C, I fear the ‘54 outcome.

    Time to “go Galt”.

    • Shooter 2.5

I have the “Who is John Galt” on the back of my car. When your package doesn’t arrive, when the lights go out, when the food isn’t on the shelves, when a bridge collapses, when no one is on the other end of the phone.

I’ve been re-reading Alas, Babylon (1959) by “Pat” (Harry Hart) Frank. (You can find it for free several places online, notably fadedpage.com out of Canada.)

It occurred to me about halfway through it that in the last year, we’ve achieved most of the disruption he depicted in that book without the formality of having a nuclear war with Russia.

All it took was a sufficient number of sufficiently venal, sufficiently power-hungry, sufficiently anti-civilization, sufficiently unhinged, and sufficiently stuck-on-stupid would-be Utopians who were supposedly on our side.

      I am advised:

Hmmm, We had more than 25,000 troops protecting Nancy Pelosi and the politicians in DC than we do at the single exit point for tens of thousands of Americans trapped by Biden’s debacle in Afghanistan

The whole debacle in Kabul reminded me of a discussion I had with one of my old shipmates, who was part of a SEAL Team, manning a sniper position in Saigon the day we bugged out!!! He heard on the civilian radio that “the last helicopter has left Viet Nam”…One of the guys asked, “does anyone know what the weather is like in Hanoi?”…then they got the word that they had a helicopter pickup in one hour…3 Kilometers away….They came out with everyone and all their equipment

The Tajiks have a military agreement with the Russians as does the Uzbeks, and it would be easy for Tajik “volunteers” on their way, It is hard to believe the Russians would welcome a radical Islamic group on  their doorsteps as they have their own problems with the Chechens.  The PRC have Uighur next door in Xinang province!
The Talibs are a tool used by the Pakis against India in Kashmir
      It will be interesting

      • interventor

Russia has a habit of picking the wrong allies.
Taliban probably consider Uighurs apostates. Many of their mullahs are women.

  • in 1979, 52 Americans were taken hostage by the Iranians, and it broke Jimmy Carter’s presidency. Thousands of Americans are held hostage by the Taliban, and the Presstitutes yawn! Bill O’Reilly was on the Hannity radio show yesterday, who stated that we have to play hardball. Tell the leaders of the Talis that if our people are not released expeditiously, healthy and unharmed, WE WILL KILL THEM! Give them a list of names, and warn them that we will take out each and every one of them. If family members are killed with them, too bad. It’s time to play by THEIR rules. Drone strikes on a daily basis. Ruthless, efficient, and merciless. Trying to use hostages as shields will only make the attacks more extensive and general.

You can hear the segment on I-heart radio podcasts. Hannity 081821-HR2

    Zar Belk!

    • RapidRobert

And what reasons would the Tali have to believe that we’d follow through?

  • DogByte6RER

Stick a fork in it …

  • Dreamingwolf

The only suggestion I would offer for the discussion is that Men and Women built western civilization…feminists and marxists ran the wheels off it.

  • Spin Drift

Speaking of feminists, why are they not demonstrating against the Taliban right now? Why are they not out in the streets protesting the treatment of women under Taliban rule. There are plenty of examples of atrocities in just the last few weeks as the Taliban ran over Afghanistan. The AOC’s and the rest of the squad are a bunch of women who only screech like harpies about so called American misogynistic crimes not actual crimes against humanity committed in the name of a religion masquerading as political regime.

Show the world that the feminist movement in America actually was for women and not as a puppet of the deep state.

Go on I dare you. By the way, here’s your slogan “Taliban out of Afghanistan.”

    Spin

  • Spin Drift

One more thing, the Law of Unintended Consequences is going to bite the Ruling Elite (spit) in the ass. The Elite forgot about Kipling’s “Tommy.” There are two decades of war trained veterans dispersed in this country who probably wished for no more war. No more staring the elephant in the eye but are duty bound by the Oath with no expiration date to take up arms to protect this country not on foreign soil but on the home front from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Rue the day they come off the porch and don the clothes of the warrior.

    Spin

    • Too Tall

“The Gods of the Copybook Headings” are going to extract their due long before “Tommy” gets off the front porch. Tale as Old as Time….

  • Spin Drift

And just this last little thing, (sorry Chris for having three in a row) what if DJT started a procession from Mar a Largo to go to Sodom on the Potomac to free the “DC 460.” The protestors rounded up and held under extra legal circumstances in the DC prison for the last 8 months. Who would join the cavalcade? Would you, would I? Would the legion of followers cross the Potomac to let the criminals in Congress know their displeasure. Would the criminals flee? Too Camp David, too Blair House, too their States, too their TV studios, too their mansions in the Hamptons?

This is the organic taking back of the country. No rallies, no stops for photo ops, no pauses, only a wave of Americans trying to redress their grievances on a government deaf to their needs. Give me Liberty for the DC 460 or give me death!

    Spin

    • DogByte6RER

Yeah … the DC 460 should be freed immediately.

After all … Jackass Joe’s capitulation to the Taliban has resulted in thousands of Taliban and al Qaeda terrorists being released from Afghan prisons.

    • Kafiroon

Seems to me that the presstitutes, so-called academia, govt. talking heads, Slo Joe, the Ho, and O are all far more violently inclined towards American Citizens than any tyrant, thug, or country opposed to us.
My belief is they would attack the caravan with extreme prejudice.

    • And an excellent three in a row it is, Spin…the first calling out the fakery and hypocrisy and exposing their true agenda,

The second making the excellent point that the military arm of the new Constitutional Republic of America, already legion, have been ironically reinforced,

And the third laying out the first order of business, to free our hostages.

Excellent. And the time is upon us. Yes I will join that procession.

      Time’s Up! CRA Now!

  • John

Reflecting on the calls to “Go Galt” I’m reminded of the words of two foreigners who I respect greatly.
One is Jordan Peterson, who said words to the effect that he had faith in the Americans to succeed.
The other is Winston Churchill who quipped, “You can always count on Americans to do the right thing – after they’ve tried everything else.”
I council patience. We’ve got a whole lot of “everything else” to sort through first.

    • The foreigners may be right but you could not be more wrong.

You counsel (unless your are a group council) patience?

The everything else we are going to sort through by waiting is for them to sort through us, if anything is left of us, to take as their slaves.

FUCK THAT! THEY ARE ACTIVELY AND FATALLY ATTACKING US AND EVERYTHING ABOUT US NOW, EVERY DAY A NEW FRONT!

CRA NOW! BY ANY AND ALL MEANS NECESSARY! THIS. IS. WAR!

      • Unless Zed is right.

If we lay down our weapons we cannot fight.

If we lay down our tools we cannot rebuild.

And if we lay down ourselves we, our families, our republic, will die.

So we fight to the death if necessary to eliminate our enemies, and we pick up our tools to rebuild OUR Republic, run OUR way.

And we stand up ourselves and look our children in the eye and tell them, This Is For You. And we look at our history and the founders and the Greatest Generation, and we say…And This Is For You Too!

A New Republic of America, the Constitutional Republic of America.

Patience? I counsel war! A bloodless war if possible; a spilling of their blood and our own if necessary.

    • Polly Cy

Since we’re in a quoting mood… “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burke.

    • Too Tall

Churchill also said that “God looks out for drunks, little children, and the United States of America.” So we’ve got that going for us….

  • Buck

Yesterday on NPR (still listening to the enemy) that Xiden has committed to 9000 people a day flying to America from Kabul. So it could very well be a lie, but… It’s probably covered in the Infrastructure Bill just passed.

“The West is falling apart”. Yes, Samantha, it is.

All the more reason why MAGA Nation needs to be informed – NOW – about how and why the Nov.3 elections were allowed – yes, allowed! – to be stolen by the criminal Left. This state of mental limbo (“Keep America Great” – are you kidding??) is no longer tenable. Why was EO 13848 not triggered, Mr. President?

    • Allowed, aided, and abetted. Enemies within.

      • Kafiroon

So maybe the Enemies within have purposely set this up to bring in a whole 100,000 or more people that they think will support whatever they want along with all the probable million this year from the Mex border. Besides, who knows what evil still lurks in Zao Bai Den’s Afghan disaster.

Uhh… Nope, I ain’t fightin’ no more wars for them: “What does “Y-E-S” spell was probably my favorite. That and us getting our independence from Korea then fighting the Japanese in the Civil War.”

I once flunked a student in American Government for writing on his final that Lincoln owned slaves.

    • Probably not even edited either.

But hey, even teachers get basic stuff wrong sometimes, like Polly here…

      For given value of “owned”…

      • JTC

Upon further review, could this student have been perceptive and critical enough to know that the term “owned slaves” carries implications far beyond the obvious and the indoctrinated? Did he see the model for today’s elites for what he really was?

If so, that kid should have been teaching that class, maybe get a little bit of truth past the censors.

H,G, Wells’ Morlocks kept things running smoothly for the Eloi. They only took one of them to dinner on occasion. Isn’t it past time that the Washington DC Eloi get a clue about what happens when those of us who build things, fix things, pay the taxes, and man the ramparts get a bellyful of their shenanigans? I wonder what kind of BBQ sauce would make a congress-critter taste less putrid?

    • Too Tall

There is not enough tequila in Christendom. Not even the Donner Party would have eaten a Congresscritter. Too many prions and parasites….
