Of all those saying they can’t feed their babies I wonder how many have actually tried breast feeding?

Often not that easy. If a mother hasn’t been already continually breastfeeding, there’s usually nothing there. The body adjusts. Sadly, it’s not like turning on a faucet.

They don’t WANT children to be breastfed, because that doesn’t make any money for formula producers and then there’s no kickback to political parties, up here the milk marketing boards have an inordinate amount of power because they’re very generous with their ‘donations’.

I don’t know what it’s like now, but until the 90’s at least, immediately after delivery they routinely gave the mother a ‘shot’ to cut off her milk supply.
When both of our sons were born, a nurse showed up with the syringe right after my wife got settled in bed after delivery and she wouldn’t have said anything assuming it was something else.
The only reason our children were breastfed at all was because I remembered it from the LaLeche League classes we went to and asked if that was what it was and then we both had to literally argue with the nurse not to give it to her.

I wanted to breast feed but couldn’t due to an emergency C-Section at 37 weeks. I was kept snowed for over 24 hours and then pain shots every four. Babies do not need that in their bodies.

My wife asked for something for the pain since she’s very small and it was a long labour with a large baby and the response was “in THIS hospital ?” they refused to give anything to a woman in hard labour espousing an ‘all natural at all costs’ credo but they wanted to ‘dry up’ her milk immediately o.O

That’ll be the next one, breastfeeding spaces for transgendered or any other male that wants to pretend, although I’m pretty sure they already exist now; and then protesters surround and chanting ‘not a real woman’ at any mother who dares feed her child herself thereby insulting the men in drag who can’t.

Babies, and baby formula plants are just more carbon footprints to these @ssholes.

That’s one reason why they have such a fetish for abortions.

These jack@sses have blamed Big Oil … then Big Meat … then Big Putin. Now what?!? Are they going to blame Big Baby?

Why do Democrats hate children, especially babies? They love abortion as a general rule and even are moving toward abortions being legal AFTER the child is born. Now we have this regime looking to starve these babies. Then you have those who are hell bent on screwing up their minds with grooming young children into believing they are trans or some other deviant sexuality of the 999 varieties they have made up.

These things do not translate into loving and caring for the young. Yet Il Duce Pelosi always says “For the children “

It all goes back to progressives’ utter and complete loathing of anyone they define as “not us”.

As Tom Clancy succinctly pointed out in his novel Rainbow Six, “enlightened” progressives would love to erase most of humanity if they could figure out some way to survive doing so.

Abortion on demand, shortages of baby food, and “gender-affirming surgery” (i.e., mutilation) of children all work toward that goal.

If you can’t destroy a child in the womb, starve it. If it survives that, neuter it.

As a bonus, the neutered survivors will never mature sexually, and so will be attractive to certain “minor-attracted” individuals well past the “age of consent”. Thereby giving such individuals all the “fun” of that sort of twist without many of the legal “inconveniences”.

What they overlook is that declining populations in future generations may make them feel like “Defenders of Holy Mother Gaia”, but it also means there are fewer taxpayers to support their governance. To see how that caused the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th through 7th centuries AD, see chapter 4 of Connections (1977) by James Burke. (A book the progressives should all read, but one they’ve likely never even heard of.)

Progressives seem unfamiliar with Campbell’s Law (Once you make a change you have to work out the consequences), not to mention Buckminster Fuller’s Law (actions have consequences).

Or perhaps they believe that due to their innate superiority and higher morality, such principles just don’t apply to them.

      There are arguments either way.

I remember the ‘Connections’ TV series, uttterly fascinating, now I have to go find it online and watch it again, thanks for filling my next few evenings…

The liebrals of today are so far gone they let 14 year olds make policy and can’t make the connection between doing something and the resulting consequences. As long as they get what they think they want then it doesn’t matter how many people have to suffer when it works out the way everyone else knew it would but they ignored because it was their idea and they can’t possibly be wrong, or admit it when it’s proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that they were…that or they’re deliberately trying to hurt as many of the people they were ‘elected’ to represent as possible for no apparent reason…I’ll go with the last one.

Good luck finding the ingredients for that, some of the key ones like powdered milk, will have mysteriously disappeared from the shelves due to ‘supply chain issues’ or the entire stock will bo on the proverbial slow boat to china, probably the latter.

Yes,, these recipes are not difficult, it is evaporated milk, sugar, etc. get the ratios correct. the sugar is needed for digestive reasons. it will not cause diabetes. Find these recipes and print and share them before the internet is scrubbed of them in the name of “safety”. I am 66 years old, likely there was no formula back when I was a child. My parents made it at home as directed by their parents , although likely I was breast fed, not something I ever asked my mother when she was alive. We drank unpasteurized milk from the cows on the farm I remember dipping it out of the stainless steel tank and bringing it in the house. Have your doctor prescribe baby vitamins in a dropper to supplement the homemade formula. this will get you by for quite a while no matter what all the experts tell you.

In defense of those who shut down the baby formula plants, it was due to contamination in the formula, and a delay in proper cleanup. The situation is being dealt with as quickly as possible *Now,* but will still mean a shortage to the supplies reaching shelves. A facility in Ireland is making more formula specifically to ship it to the US and N America, according to a friend in Ireland. This is for specialised formula for kids with allergy problems and regular formula.

I have discussed the problem with FB friends, and we are researching alternatives to Breast milk, Goat’s milk, and powdered formul mix.

Yes, because the recall on formula was being done to avoid a panic. Unfortunately, the cleanup and devontamination was mishandled. There was enough if the problem had been corrected in a timely manner. Unfortunately it wasn’t…

Even after it was done, the FDA would not do the inspection to ensure that it was corrected. They dragged their feet until literally last week, forcing the plant(s) to remain idle.

I have a strong suspicion that the message was,

“We’ll do the inspections and let you reopen just as soon as your $50m+ check to the DNC clears.”

That’s the guv’s claim. The mfr claims that absolutely nothing was found wrong with their plant and the problem is not with them. Pardon me if I choose to believe anybody but the guv at this point.

Breastfeeding transmits the mother’s existing natural immunity to the child resulting in a healthier child able to resist more diseases. Breastfeeding gives a child a good start in life.
I do not know the effect on babies of all of the many vaccines they are forced to have a a very young age. Children were not vaccinated until they were older when I was a child and until recently.
Some people say t weakens the child. A premmie nurse I knew said that premature babies would regularly die right after a scheduled vaccination was given. It is a combination of many vaccines. I have heard it from others.
Another hole in what people know about things. There are movements against massive vaccinations of children with multiple vaccines.
And now we bring in the infected from around the world unchecked.

And as an ode to the old, who w wish all babies have a chance to be.
    We all can be valuable.

Breastmilk is the only thing children are designed to eat, formula originally came to be as a supplement for those unable to produce enough milk themselves, prior to that there were ‘wet nurses’ used also by the elite that didn’t want to go to the trouble of feeding their own kids since there were parties to attend and things to do…much like today where people can’t be bothered to take care of their little welfare increases and can leave a bottle with the sitter or whoever they conned into watching them while they went clubbing to make another one.
Granted, there’s also the consideration for working women and formula does help with that, but they do make pumps and there was always a few bottles of expressed milk in the fridge or freezer if my wife had to go out for some reason.

Breastmilk has the right content, is served at the proper temperature and comes in such cute containers 😉
