Peru did pure cane sugar. Always look for yellow caps on soda if possible.
RC cola glass bottles with churros filled with caramelized dulcet de Leche. 3 ft long churros. That stand was my favorite in Lima Peru.
I’ll admit in Brazil I’d go for Antarctica or Brahma Guarana brewed Champagne style. That is bottles got shot of sugar before capping.
Their apple sodas would turn into Hard Cider if it didn’t blow up.
In 78 79 they changed to ale vs wine yeasts, but kept sugar.
Found out the Christmas dark spicy soda I so enjoyed was actually a sweetened spicy winter ale. Low alcohol just enough to warm gullet and guts. Think it was marketed for women.
They also made a liquor using everything they didn’t sell. It’d get referenced and triple distilled.
You could see when, as the vapors would make everyone on street drunk.
“Take A Chance 8” was label. Dunno what 8 was for or meant. But those spirits were scary. Sometimes brown, red, Yellow, clear and even saw black.
I used a bottle to degrease and clean fishing gear.
In Mexico city RC had yellow or white on brand label/shield.
The yellow shield label was more mediciny tasting . The grape soda under that brand was the same.
Mebbe vitamins?
The yellow top is the go-to for American Coca Cola too if you want real cane sugar and not that nasty corn syrup…usually have to buy it in Hispanic store.
Without it I will never be able to tell the two apart, unless after many tireless hours of studying their physiques a subtle difference is found. Her scar ive found to be actually sexy, much like the tribal tattos of some of the Inuit women.
I hereby volunteer my experienced eyes and hands to study those physiques to determine who is who…toss Mari into the study too as a kind of control standard…
