What the left wants is ‘work for free’, they’re already complaining that their lawnkeepers and maids want a ‘living wage’ and their passports back and who’s going to pick their cotton ?

I love asking GasBuddy to show me the gas prices in Blythe CA and Ehrenberg AZ, a mere four miles apart.
      Right now, AZ=$2.99, CA=$4.59-$5.09.
      Four miles.
How many Blytherers do you think buy local?

Work to do yet. That AZ price (and mine) need to come down another dollar. Don’t know but maybe it takes $50 oil, so get workin’ on that Mr. President.

There is a limit on how low gas prices can go, there’s the cost of paying drilling crews, the rigs themselves, laying pipelines, building and operating refineries and even paying the kid that watches the cameras to see who’s stealing gas, since they’re not allowed to pump it for you anymore, and sell you lottery tickets. Up here, the price of gas is over half taxes and the replacement ‘carbon tax’ hasn’t gone on yet…but it will…dropping the taxes would do wonders for the economy, except the gov’t of the day is determined to get rid of all non-electric vehicles within the next five years.

On the other side of the Atlantic, rumors indicate that the British have finally resurrected their yeoman heritage. Popcorn is ready.

Still holding on to the “icy willing to wait” stage myself.

No guarantees for how much longer, though.

Yrp. And that’s when the Saxon learned to hate. The arrogance of them all is both stunning and numbing right up until the get put in the face. Paying for their mistakes by raising taxes as if no one will balk.

Not in California, for sure, but if someone’s MawMaw from Gueydan, Louisiana served up a platter of deep-fried cicadas, I’d try them. That being said, if some Cajun doesn’t have a recipe for it by now, it’s not edible.

It used to be ‘If it’s not on the line at a Chinese buffet, it’s inedible’ but Cajuns think the same way and they came from this area originally which shows, you never know what’s in the stewpot and you don’t really want to ask. 😉

Chris, can you please post the comparative fundraisers numbers from 24 and 25 on Independence Day, the 4th of July? I will be making my admittedly paltry contribution on that Symbolic Day!

My Mom was born in Gueydan, raised in Jennings. As an Arizona kid I spent many summers with my Mawmaw, my aunties and all my cousins.
