When did Zed become less literate. “Who don’t…”??? Maybe the DD has degraded his vocabulary. I expect Travis to respond as such, but Zed?

But, you know, there’s a very real difference.

        Somewhat of a Nature/Nurture thing.

He fathered her: he is her Father…her heart, her brain, and her every gene, are part of him, the building blocks of her existence, for better or worse; mostly better I would think.

But he did not raise her: he is not her Dad…he did not impart his life, his lessons, his learnings, his leanings, to her and for her, for better or worse; mostly worse I would think.

But she did okay. She survived. She probably has developed life skills of her own based on the nurture she did receive. And now look at the opportunity for her going forward, with most of her life still to be nurtured.

        IMO.

        A bit older n’ that:
“A nation can survive its fools, even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves against those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” … Roman statesman and political theorist Marcus Tullius Cicero

I anticipate that trade agreements will quickly develop between the blue and red zones regardless of how the split occurs. There’ll be thousands of Mason Dixon lines separating urban zones from free zones. Incursions by raiding savages from the urban areas accustomed to free everything will need to be dealt with in a swift and brutal manner til they get the message.

Whole new industries will be created.

The real sticking point will be what steps those who are powerful under the status quo will take to keep their power, and how soon they run out of cannon fodder willing to risk life and limb to do their bidding. The biggest danger will be from those who say if they can’t have nice things, nobody will, and try to burn it all down.

As to the second, well I spent a bunch of years trading that third requirement hardware and most forms of hard currency, so that might come in handy; used to could shoot pretty decent at open-range distance, not sure now but I am getting cataract surgery next week so that and with a good brace to help the old shoulder…I might be an asset!

Anyway, if you see me and my poor old Coachmen MH rolling in the gate, don’t shoot! Hope all your spaces ain’t taken up by then!

Well, the surgery was easy. I had to learn to shoot with my left eye. Then the surgery, then the left could see much better and l actually got good again. Then I got the right eye fixed and had to learn to use the dominant right again. Now I just use the old shotgun and don’t try for little holes. You can feel free to join us on the hurricane-free spot of the West coast and park the RV on the street with the rest of us. Does Red Tide bother you?

Thanks for the good reference on the cataracts, doing my right first and doing it for distance, have to keep the readers for closeup since my ins covers 100% of that and I didn’t want to spring for $2500 extra per eye for the blended short/long range version that they call “cosmetic”, how stupid is that?

Thanks for the invite but if I hunker down it won’t be in The Fla, got a half-underground place in No. Ga. but that Va place of sounds pretty good!

In the meantime, no, red tide doesn’t bother me 100mi. away in Sebring, but if it makes its way to the east coast again and trickles its way down to Mar A Lago ville, (just passed there a few days ago, still gorgeous blue surf right now), DJT will get it fixed. 🙂

        Kafiroon

Yep. On the Right eye, I went for distance, on the Left, it is still mostly distance but I can get away with some reading. Then I use 1.75 readers for most reading. No blended ‘cosmetic’ lenses; no need for that. Anyone looking at cataract surgery should consider the two slightly different lenses as it works fine.

That took me a bit to figgerout too. The accidental (I guess?) blonde “face” on the right side of the hair is just part of the hair apparently, and the actual flesh-colored profile face looking up at Zed (the little black curl by the hairline is the eye) is hard to see since the black mouth seems to be a sort of earing on an illusionary front-facing face (and even that illusionary front-looking face is hard to see. Tricky to make oneself “see” the proper orientation once the false one is engraved into your mind…

Well, unless Chris has decided to introduce a Roman “genius” or maybe spirit-demon possession into Mia’s character, and the title “Banana Split” is intended to refer to both and be essentially “split” itself between the punchline and Mia’s character. And bananas ARE yellow like Mia’s hair, so there is that… 🙂

The problem with a split is that if you leave the socialists one square mile of American land to call their own, they will use it as a foothold and base from which to take over the whole country again. I don’t want to cede an inch of American soil that has been bled for by generations of patriots. Instead, the solution is to scourge leftists and their enabling parasites from America with fire. The sooner the better.
