JTC Mar 15 2019 at 12:08 am Politicians mouths writing checks that citizens asses can’t cash since… kadaka Mar 15 2019 at 12:24 am John Brennan heard them talking about bad Czechs. interventor Mar 15 2019 at 12:25 am The only time one tucks a napkin at the neck is at very formal meal called an Escoffier dinner. Wouldn’t want to stiff anyone serving that. Certain delicacies can be deadly if not served correctly. kadaka Mar 15 2019 at 12:30 am The other only time is when you go out to eat after church and don’t want to mess up your Sunday best. And don’t forget the tip. GWB Mar 15 2019 at 6:18 pm Or you’re eating a bucket o’ seafood somewhere like Joe’s Crab Shack. Or some BBQ places. Occasionally fried chicken. (You need to get out more with people who take their eating seriously, but not themselves.) 😉 Polly Cy Mar 15 2019 at 12:28 am Maybe the bill won’t pass if there’s no way to pay for it…Nah, sorry. Common sense got the better of me for a moment. Old Codger Mar 15 2019 at 7:13 am “Common sense”? You mean one of the three LEAST common qualities on the planet? John D. Egbert Mar 15 2019 at 9:32 am Having a CRS moment here. “Common Courtesy” is the second; damned if I can remember what is number three . . . The 300 Mar 15 2019 at 9:44 am Common knowledge? Old Codger Mar 15 2019 at 4:21 pm Sense, Courtesy and Decency. Three of the LEAST common qualities on the planet. Most “common knowledge” is pure bravo sierra. WayneM Mar 15 2019 at 12:32 am Isn’t it traditional to pay AFTER the meal or is that just a social construct like gender… except for the gender involved in the gendered pay gap which is real, real, real, dammit… ignore the evidence to the contrary and let’s talk about reparations… My brain hurts after writing that. Ouch. Polly Cy Mar 15 2019 at 11:39 am The day they pr0vide reparations to my family for the loss of their Pennsylvania farm because there was no way to work it during th3e war when my GGGrandfather was away fighting for the Union, and the poverty and challenges when he returned home after he lost a leg in that same war, etc., is the day I might consider reparations for descendants of slaves. Oh, and he was a volunteer. JTC Mar 15 2019 at 12:37 pm Reparations from whom ma’am? Polly Cy Mar 15 2019 at 1:03 pm The same ones being nagged to offer reparations to the descendants of slaves, sir. We were not an army of mercenaries. But that does call to mind a wonderful book by MacPherson, “For Cause and Comrades.” He analyzes the motivation of soldiers in the Civil War who fought for a Cause, and how it led to incredible acts of courage and sacrifice. Highly recommended! JTC Mar 15 2019 at 4:00 pm No doubt about the courage of individuals, yet some causes are just and some are not as we are re-learning now…and often partipation was/is by choice not conscription. My own recommendation for reading would be a deep look into the incredibly cruel and evil deeds of self-admitted deception, theft, destruction and genocide committed under false pretense…talk about twisted appropriated racism and justification for reparations…again drawing scary parallels to current events. NotYetInACamp Mar 15 2019 at 2:39 am Th financialization of everything over the past 50 or so years has ended with Americans (and the world’s people) often owning nothing of the assets they seem to have temporary possession of that some call ownership. Everythng s mortgaged. After this amount of time in Western Civilization with no major wars taking place in it, everyone should own their own homes and major assets. They don’t by design. Many designs. And the methods in the book The Economic Hit Man have been used in the USA and across the world. The Chinese are even using those methods. And those people subject to a jurisdiction other than the USA are being brought in to seal the deal for the end of the USA and its control by legacy Americans. Apply the law and Constitution. Deport them all first. Then think about immigration where the USA chooses who comes in. Tom Perez, you can stay out. The laws are there for those with the strength to use them wisely, and the wisdom to know when, how, and why to use them. Those native to the Swamp are not the ones who know or even care to use good law and to use our God blessed Constitution. Browncoat Mar 15 2019 at 6:34 am “The laws are there for those with the strength to use them wisely, and the wisdom to know when, how, and why to use them. Those native to the Swamp are not the ones who know or even care to use good law and to use our God blessed Constitution.” Exactly! Thank you! Wood Mar 15 2019 at 6:42 am Deficit spending only works for the fed Mitch. Tagg Mar 15 2019 at 7:22 am How could anyone as unbalanced as Bitch McConnel know anything about checks and balances. The only checks he’s concerned about are the ones discreetly sliped into his pocket! Delilah T. Mar 15 2019 at 7:40 am Nothing to back up the check? Well, then, just write another check!! Isn’t that how you do it???? 🙂 Ms. AOC’s proposals will now cost $93++ trillion, so let’s just print more money. She really understands economics, doesn’t she? We have to know what The They are up to. If we don’t, we get a nasty surprise. Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making mistakes. interventor Mar 15 2019 at 11:02 am There are times, I suspect Crazy Eyes Cortez is a Republican plant. No one could be such a volatile combination of ignorance and stupidity. rickn8or Mar 15 2019 at 11:13 am The only thing wrong with that theory is (1)The Republicans aren’t that bright and (2) They’re “above all that”. JTC Mar 15 2019 at 12:16 pm As discussed before, either A) She IS a plant (ganja natch), or B) She’s not an R but a Trump plant to whom neither of rickn8or’s exclusions apply. Sadly, A) is the more likely. Delilah T. Mar 15 2019 at 6:31 pm She’s only a plant if you count skunk cabbage in that. She is now condemning the NRA for some imaginary connection to those mosque shootings today in New Zealand. https://thehill.com/homenews/house/434190-ocasio-cortez-calls-out-nra-after-new-zealand-shootings-what-good-are-your Yes, she IS that dumb. I hope (and pray) that her dumbness improves. And I mean that in the very kindest, most positive way possible. 🙂 kadaka Mar 15 2019 at 1:20 pm A lot of them are more subtle. For example, I never realized before how close mankind came to possible extinction without modern technology. Thanks, Beto Male! Beto Laments That People In Rural Areas Can’t Use Tinder “You may have that in Iowa, as well, where farmers and ranchers and producers literally cannot get online, where people cannot start businesses in their hometown or finish their education after high school because they can’t get online,” he continued. “They can’t go to Tinder and find a date tonight to find that special person who will make the difference in their lives.” Yes, because in the ancient pre-internet days there were no social gatherings and out of desperation we had to resort to buying for two cows or two dozen chickens, although you could rent for one chicken if it was a laying hen. Lord help you if her family found out you slipped in a rooster. Punta Gorda Mar 15 2019 at 2:16 pm Little Bobby might prefer the rooster. James Mcenanly Mar 15 2019 at 7:30 pm Private enterprise would probably have it in place while the government twiddles, piddles and resolves. https://www.space.com/39785-spacex-internet-satellites-starlink-constellation.html Swansonic Mar 16 2019 at 12:49 am I believe she is. And if we challenge the universe by saying there cannot be anyone dumber than her the universe will give us someone dumber. By an order of magnitude….. kadaka Mar 15 2019 at 5:04 pm Jeb stood long at the mirror, gazing deeply into the tall determined figure standing inside. Jeb Bush Wants ‘Someone’ To Challenge Trump In GOP Primaries “I think someone should run just because Republicans ought to be given a choice,” Bush said. “It’s hard to beat a sitting president, but to have a conversation about what it is to be a conservative — I think it’s important.” JTC Mar 15 2019 at 5:33 pm “Republicans”, for want of a more accurate term for the anti-leftist electorate, were given a choice between what, 15 or 20 wannabes in ’16? They made their choice, and it wasn’t you, mirror boy. They are highly likely to make the same one again in ’20, and prayers to God with the same result in the one that really matters…but you really don’t care about that do you Jeb? Punta Gorda Mar 15 2019 at 6:34 pm He did a fine enough job screwing up his last office. That’s how we got that piece of shit Crist. JTC Mar 15 2019 at 8:46 pm True that, and had he become the “chosen one”, Sprout no doubt would have torn down what walls we had rather than build new ones because of what Daddy called “the little brown ones”. It is entirely about self-interest and family (theirs, not ours) for the Bush “dynasty”. Political whores of the worst possible kind. kadaka Mar 15 2019 at 11:05 pm Bernie Sanders, powerful Democrat (close enough), walked into a shower door and got 7 stitches Friday morning, has brushed it off. Harry Reid, powerful Democrat, had an accident with a shower door New Year’s Day 2015, looked beaten up and lost sight in an eye, brushed it off. No relation. Of course not. Just two old-time balding powerful Democrat men who had altercations involving their heads and shower doors, happens all the time. John M.
