Well, if Tabasco and the dawgs (and maybe Jo, too) rounded up the black-hooded thingies and cornered them, then someone could turn the hose on them.

You see, there’s snow going on in Texas right now, and Alpine is known for its cold weather, so giving this bunch of witless wonders a lesson or two in hygiene and kindness to animals would be beneficial for their… uh, souls? Do they have those things?

Snow? In Texas? Must be out in West Texas because we here in south-central are barely seeing temps in the upper 40s. The year my wife and I got married (’72) there was snow on the ground 3 times before Thanksgiving. The highs didn’t get above freezing but the sunshine melted the snow/slush. After sundown the stuff froze and til almost noon the side streets were slicker than greased pig snot. By Thanksgiving the body shops were booked up til May.

If y’all get the snowbirds flocking there like here in teh fla I imagine that after that episode your fill of them telling you how poor the local drivers there are and how skilled they they themselves are in navigating in the ice and snow and mountains.

In a similar discussion here a while back one particularly annoying Michigander I think went into how we Floridiots just don’t have the experience to know about inputs, ie steering, braking, etc. that northern drivers have mastered in winter.

I agreed but commented that it really was weird and ironic they have such mad skills in those inclement conditions but can’t drive worth a FUCK on our flat, dry, straight Floriduh roads…

I was in Milwaukee in ’83 right after the first snow of the season. Now those people drive in ice and snow EVERY FEKKING YEAR and yet right after the first snow their body shops are booked solid. Talking to the Manager of the hotel at which I was staying, I discovered that it takes until after the 2nd or 3rd snow before those knuckleheads get their act together regarding driving in that type weather. When they laugh at us down here in the South, it’s only because they’ve (conveniently??) forgotten how badly people in their home area drive for a couple of snows.

Yeah, their handlers “urge” them by dispatching them with scripts, buses, and cash. Like other vermin they can be dispatched in another way by us if need be. Which might even be part of the master plan of the handlers’ handlers; give them some martyrs and 27/7 media outrage by the time they finish describing the little hooded rats as innocent grassroots concerned student youth.

And it is those handlers’ handlers we need to get to the who and why of…these rats, those collectivists Chris pictured yesterday, and even their moneychangers Soros et al…are all just functionaries in whoever/whatever that may be, ultimate motive unknown.

If one were paranoid the answer is a cabal of rich people who have nothing better to do than cause chaos and watch the fun. They certainly would not have the intellectual capacity to aim for an agenda so deep we cannot see it.
But I am in the camp that says “Do not ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence.”
In other words we are “blessed” with a bunch of idiots with more dollars than sense who think they have a divine right _not_ to think through the consequences of what they are doing with their money.

      • November 12, 2018 at 2:55 pm

Well one IS paranoid, if reactionary situational awareness can be called that.

But I don’t ascribe to the rich incompetence being at the top, though it certainly is there in the middle.

And unfortunately I do think there is much malice involved at the highest level, that the consequences are well known to be all or nothing, that it is maybe not a lack of intellectual capacity but a surfeit of it and that there not only is an agenda but it entails the elimination of all who might self-identify as Deplorables…that’s the consequence they’re aiming for.

But yes at that highest level of who/what they are, there is an absolute presumption of divinity and destiny. Who/what does that sound like?

Correct me if my memory’s faulty, but weren’t we supposed to see a return to courtesy if the DemonKKKRats got the House back? Anybody seen anything even remotely related to “courtesy” since last Tuesday? Of course “courtesy” – along with “decency” and “sense” – IS one of the LEAST common qualities around.

Killary stated that the return to civility would only happen when they regained the power they were entitled to. Meaning, both houses of Congress and the White House, plus probably most state governors and legislatures, too.

Of course, Hitler promised that the violence in Germany’s streets would end once he was elected Reichskanzler, too. Instead, he gave his SA and SS bullyboys guns and badges and declared them the police.

I suspect Killary, Slapsie Maxie Waters, and etc. have similar plans for Antifa and BLM.

Their definition of “civility” is that they will kill you for disagreeing with them, so you’d better agree with them. Although they reserve their privilege of killing you anyway just because they feel like it.

I think the Democratic Party has pretty much defined itself, through its now longstanding track record as “Power by any means necessary.”
The tactics vary with time but the goal is always the same.
It is the very definition of EVIL.

So the tag for the ‘toon is “culture wars” and the title question is “are you in or out”.

Could not be a better cause/effect case than that.

I am both locked “in” my virtually secure created environment, and locked “out” of a much wider and freer environment; the latter being essential to preserving the former…situational awareness writ large if you will.

And it is entirely due to that “culture war” in which mine is under constant attack by theirs. Maybe it has always been thus, but I think the attack is much accelerated of late, and the status quo might not maintain…IOW, “real” war as the next stage of the “culture” one, aka SHTF. Hence that “secure created environment”. Pray to God against it, but He gave us reason and self-determination to do our best to deal with it.

Hard to be hanging out here at this Ranch, the product of one iconic editorial cartoonist and not acknowledge the passing of another one today, Stan Lee.

Probably no male my age (mid-boomer) was not affected in some way by the products or Marvelous Stan, and that influence has continued somewhat, for better or worse. for our own kids. And sure as hell the world of illustrated fiction was pretty much created and defined by him.

But like many brilliant icons, he could not resist the temptation to impose his personal prejudices onto his work and onto his audience. Leftist social engineering raises its ugly head again.

Same but different with another icon that I wrote a bit about at the Old Dead Blog upon his passing a decade back:

    https://poetnthepawnbroker.blogspot.com/2008/03/back-to-future-arthur-c-clarke-breaks.html

Happens with entertainers too…actors, singers, athletes…why can’t they just do what they do well and STFU already?

    1) The Democrats promised “civility” if they won their power back. What they don’t tell you is that “civility” is defined by them as killing you quickly. Compared to killing you slowly and painfully.

    2) I do wish people would stop calling the Democrat Party the DemocratIC party. (emphasis intended) There is a very clear and distinct difference between the two words. (Rant over)

Not to alarm anyone, but we are now being warned about that bunch of trudging individuals slowly moving northward as carrying some rather bad microbes of various kinds, such as dengue, zika and chikunguya – all mosquito-born – as well as Venezuelans escaping into other SA countries like Brazil and taking measles with them, among a host of other diseases.

CDC is saying “make sure your vaccinations are up to date”. This especially applies to children. MMR, TDaP, etc., Measles can kill an adult human. Take this warning seriously.

And I wondered why some of the military’s medical units being moved toward the southern US border were those that handled infectious diseases.

Now you (& I) know why.

That “caravan” is a manufactured event with fully subsidized logistics (see that custom cage truck?) and paid participants just as with these pantifa punks.

But it is a real deal invasion and has to be treated as such. Today The Donald took to twitter to tell the euroweenes to put up or shut up if they want our military support, and tomorrow he needs to put the hammer down on Mexico…stop this shit or we stop that new trade deal you need so bad.

And failing that, follow through with that threat and with military action as needed to prevent this critical threat to our national sovereignty and our public health.
