Hmmm…Skye seems very excited…and that dress looks like it won’t take much tequila to make it fall off!!

      *innocent look* What dress?

    • March 21, 2015 at 8:06 am
      B Woodman

Skye really DOES need to dress up a bit if she wants to impress the sheriff for a second date.

On the contrary, I think that outfit will surely get his least a certain part of him!

“Hm, deputy, is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just happy to see me!”

  • March 20, 2015 at 9:11 pm

It doesn’t take tequila for Skye’s clothes to fall off.

Though I do want that chili recipe.

You DO rrealize just how unfair what you wrote is to skanks, don’t you?

  • March 20, 2015 at 9:29 pm

Heh! I want that chili recipe, too!

  • March 20, 2015 at 9:38 pm

At least Skye’s kids are obviously very well fed.

      heh…true dat

  • March 20, 2015 at 9:38 pm

Skye won’t eat that chili, that would sorta be like cannabalism….

    • March 20, 2015 at 9:59 pm

A lobster’s favorite food is lobster. Many snakes, also, eat snake

      • March 21, 2015 at 12:51 am

And chicken love them some chicken.

      • March 21, 2015 at 6:21 pm

And if you don’t want your baby bunnies to be cannibal hasenpfeffer, make sure daddy rabbit ain’t around when mama’s birthin’ ’em. (Ask my traumatized preschool daughters, now 40, about that little farmgirl lesson.)

    • March 20, 2015 at 10:34 pm

Oh, there you go again, insultin’ snakes everywhere!

Rattlesnake chili. Nothing goes to waste.

    • March 21, 2015 at 5:26 pm

Yep, got a hatband or belt, depending upon the size of the critter, plus the chili. My favorite place in Hong Kong was Snake and Ale — grilled, fresh cobra on a skewer, with a venom martini on the side.

“going all Brian Williams on me?”
What!? Skye is impugning that Sam would exaggerate and tell lies to her?
Sounds like projection. And being a sister.

      Spoken like someone with a sister… I have three…

Chris, as a sidebar on a purely technical note, I really liked the effect you achieved on that chili pot!

    • March 21, 2015 at 5:31 am

Must be a new one. After boiled crabs, boiled shrimp, Frogmore stew, cows foot soup and tons of chili, gator, snake, hog, deer, vegetarian and beef, mine looks like it fell off a train.

    • March 21, 2015 at 7:30 am

Didn’t notice at first but you’re right… Depicting polished stainless isn’t the easiest thing to do.

      • March 21, 2015 at 2:02 pm

Thinking that might be another of Chris’ photo adaptations?

      • March 21, 2015 at 4:39 pm
        Chris Muir

        Nope.Backgrounds mostly are, though.

      • March 21, 2015 at 5:18 pm

        Superb realism then…

Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Exposure to Skye will have the Sheriff running for the hills.

    • March 21, 2015 at 7:50 am

frolicking in between her hills or running from those temptation hills. One or the other for sure

  • March 21, 2015 at 6:17 am

Rattlesnake Chilli. Shades of Vicki the Biker from Rose is Rose….

  • March 21, 2015 at 9:45 am

I’m thinkin’ our Lil Skye is headin’ for some big life changes if/when she gets into a relationship with the sheriff. He seems to be just the cowboy who can tame that little filly.
And, sometimes, “born again” Conservatives are the most conservative of Conservatives. IYKWIMAITYD 😉

Never had rattler chili. Did once have a rattleburger.,With lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and double mustard it was pretty dang good.

  • March 21, 2015 at 10:14 am

Hey now, if every “journalist” that is full of shit and him/her self got dumped, we wouldn’t have any “journalists”. Hmmm…

Maybe the same would work for “politicians”…and “bureaucrats”…and…hey this could be fun! Thanks Bri, for your inspirational trend-setting “journalism”.

Re the ‘coffeepot effect’. Cris’s artistic talent is a joy to behold. Go back and look at his earlier work and marvel (no pun intended!) at how much he has grown as a graphic artist.

I thought Sam couldn’t cook [” I burn water” comes to mind]. Never HAVE seen her cook. When did this come about?

    • March 21, 2015 at 4:16 pm

When markets and prepared meals by others require travel, you’d be surprised on how old school cooking someone can go. Plus Wade must have a good garden and food stores set aside.

    • March 21, 2015 at 5:31 pm

If, one can read instructions, one can become a good to excellent cook. Sam is an engineer.
