John Blood is out of his league, WAAAAY out of his league.
He need not despair, if he gets his mind right.
More than a few of us, recognizing what is truly valuable, got our act together and married out of our league. It is way more than worth the effort and self-discipline required.
When faced with a wonderful opportunity, the only advice that matters remains “Don’t eff this up!” The rest is details and the details are extremely important.
Speaking of details, umm, Mari is wearing a blouse?
I would not presume that Mari shot and killed anyone.
If the Pajeets hoped on the reincarnation Merry-Go-Round the cause of death is most likely heart failure due to dehydration and a severe electrolyte imbalance as a results of uncontrollable diarrhea during a high speed run for the border.
We’ve been married 42 years, and it’s gone by so fast.
We had one close call when the children were little, and she almost died. Too much familiarity with crash carts in a hospital. But I also know what the beating of angels’s wings sounds like.
Still, I can’t imagine living 45 years without her. God only knows> by the Beach Boys and Don’t Take the Girl by Tim McGraw cause my vision to blur as soon I hear the first three notes.
For me it will be 54 years next week, both of us 17 when we married and became parents. A whole lifetime with three good kids went by in a blink.
Like you can’t imagine living without her, but it almost happened two years ago; we were watching teevee and she goes to the bathroom nauseous and came back with what she said was the worst headache she ever had. Looked it up and those are the two primary symptoms of a damn brain aneurysm! Emergency scans showed it 5mm next to the carotid but not yet burst so she didn’t die on the spot, and a helicopter ride to the big hospital delivered her into the most capable hands to get in there and fix it. Coming home alone after the surgery was the most surreal thing as I walked around the house looking at every single detail big and small that her hands touched and created and thanking God then and now that he didn’t take her, and asking him to please please take me first when the time comes.
The song for me is the syrupy bittersweet Honey by Bobby Goldsboro.

A quiet one who pays attention when the homework is being fed to them.
HE may want HER.
But now that the challenge has been met, studied, overcome, and conquered, and all with apparent ease, does SHE want HIM?
I’d say no. Toss Blood aside like the one-dimensional cardboard (ok, two dimensional) cutout that he is, and continue on looking for more challenging life goals.
And I apologize to Mari for what I said the other day, about her appearing like Skye. Such depths of deceit, Mata Hari would be proud.

Both father’s and mother’s daughter, Mari also channels The Quiet Man, hot like Mary Kate Danaher, but delivers like Sean Thornton.
Well, it’s obvious Mari isn’t running on blind hormones… and DEFINITELY is her parent’s daughter!

Agreed. Even in Texas cleaning up three H1B holders takes some doing. And Blood wouldn’t have been surprised when he spotted her Special.
The quite one I knew 45 years back wanted me to check her fluid levels with my dipstick after a couple weeks together.
William Henry,
I’m so sorry for your loss.

A honey trap for the suspected traitor, apparently of her own volition, THAT’S my girl! 😉
Smart, beautiful, deadly, and good at 3-D chess- – – – -what’s not to like? Blood is outgunned and outclassed!
Blood reminds Mari of her dad. She’s testing him to see his character.
