My Senator, but I didn’t vote for him, I’d vote for a rabid javalina before i’d ever vote for a Commie-Crat

    Yep, friendly fire of sorts.

On 8/3/81 I took a shotgun charge to the face and head on duty. I can’t say that it altered much upstairs–1) There never has been much up there to hurt and 2) I continued in the business until June 2005.

It damn sure didn’t alter my stance on the 2nd Amendment. Like the rest of the U.S. Constitution, it was Divinely Inspired.

Then there’s Fetterman, who’s slowly moving into saner positions as he regains mental function.

Could be cause and effect both directions. Or not. I’m no doctor.

    “Was he always a dick?”
Yep, and he was still stepping on it back then, too.
He’s the guy who made a public statement that he was going to go out and buy an AR just so people could see how easy they were to get.
So he starts by going to a pawn shop in Tucson. They ran his paperwork. Guy still had a Texas license (this was back before he was an elected congresscritter), so they turned him down (because one of the guns he was buying was a handgun). Strike 1.
He got his license updated and went back to the pawnshop. They ran his instant-check, then told him there was a hold on the gun and he had to come back later for it. (Special pawnshop rule: the gun was a trade-in, and had to be held for 20 days before being resold in case it was stolen. If Einstein had gone to a standard dealer, this wouldn’t have happened. Strike 2.)
So while he’s waiting, he says *on Facebook* that he “doesn’t really WANT to own an assault weapon” and that his intention is to donate it to the Tucson PD after he gets it. Now, the pawnshop owner knows who Kelly is, who his wife is, and that Kelly is… well, a dick. So he puts out a release informing the world that Kelly has technically become a straw purchaser and his purchase is being denied. Strike 3.
Compared to Al Green, Maizie, or Hank Johnson, Kelly isn’t the dimmest Democrat on the bench, but it’s not because he doesn’t put in the hard work.

OMG, I LOVE that pawnbroker! Having spent 40+ years behind the counter I had to reject quite a few buyers, and while I HATED being essentially a conscripted agent of the fedgov doing ATF’s job for them, I LOVE that this guy turned their stupid (and often weaponized) “straw man” BS against one of them. If I get out to AZ, I will definitely look him up!

I remember back in the day when riots hit in California and a bunch of “formerly” anti-gun folks rushed out to buy some protection.

The posts and videos of them saying, “What? I have to fill out all these forms? I have to pass a background check? There’s a WAITING PERIOD?” (You know, like all the regular folks had been doing for years.) And the FFLs saying, “You voted for this!”

    Delicious.

@LarryArnold……The saddest part of this is that after being forced to follow the same rules/regulations they’ve saddled the rest of us with…..particularly the “A WAITING PERIOD……BUT I NEED IT NOW!!!” scenario, these liberal idiots, (redundant, I know…) will STILL vote for practically every gun control law that comes down the pike. 🙁

Note that the anti-2A types who are shocked- SHOCKED!- at the hoops they have to jump through to “buy a gun”, are the same ones who oppose the SAVE Act because “getting a photo ID is just too hard.”

Never mind that the latter takes about five minutes at the BMV, no prerequisites other than proof of your name (birth certificate or etc.) and address (utility bill or etc.) and generally costs $5 unless you’re on welfare, in which case it’s free- by Federal law.

Then again, their “constituents” probably aren’t real fond of documentation and paper trails, so there’s that.

Note how many are driving around without actual licenses. Often in cars they don’t actually own.

If you can tolerate extreme cognitive dissonance without getting a headache, then ponder this.

The extreme leftists who demanded that every person should be required to get a “vaccine passport” to shop for food every week at a grocery store in 2020, are the same people who condemn Republicans as racists for insisting that voters must show a photo ID twice a year to vote in 2026.

The only reason why leftists’ heads do not rotate 360 degrees and explode is that people with no ability to cogitate never suffer from cognitive dissonance.

If there is ever a zombie apocalypse, then the leftists will be the last ones to get their brainnzzz eaten because the zombies won’t bother them until all of the people with normal brains are gone.

in the mid-terms, if ID voting is passed
    it is almost assured.

We will see innumerable videos of those

AZ has senators like that libtard space nut and the other leftist open borders new junior senator because Maricopa County turned corrupt over a decade ago.

Remember not so long ago when Joe Arpaio was Sheriff of Maricopa County? During the Obama Era, the Obamunists used lawfare against Sheriff Joe that ended up costing him his sheriff’s seat.

Sheriff Joe kept Maricopa County honest … he ran tent city jails, pink underwear for the inmates, his deputies were cross-trained in immigration duties, and the elections conducted by the county election office were seen as largely fair and without controversey.

DJT pardoned Joe Arpaio during his first term (I think Sheriff Joe was brought up on a contempt charge by the Obama minions.) But by then, the damage was done as the Left infiltrated Maricopa County and it hasn’t been the same since.

Meanwhile in the People’s Republic of Canuckistan (formerly Canada) despite most of the police forces saying they want not part of such and see zero benefit in harassing lawful firearms owners, the federal gubbermint continues pushing forward with their “buy back” program (confiscation but they promise they’ll pay market value). So the gubbermint is using tax dollars to destroy property rights… a win-win in their collectivist hivemind.

A few fools have registered to have their firearms confiscated but the vast majority are ignoring the gubbermint’s noise.

The impact to the State of Arizona by the invasion from the south pales in comparison to the invasion from Kalifornia. A result of this, we went from being represented in the senate by Barry Goldwater to the present two idiots. Thousands have fled from Kalifornia. but brought along their goofy politics, turning Arizona purple. We currently have a City Council election going on here in the Socialist People’s City of Tempe. Looking at the seven candidates is like digging through the cat box to find a nice turd. Yes, they are all turds. The wife and I voted for None of the Above. It is far too late to build a fence around the State yet still too early to shoot the bastards, so we are stuck in purgatory. I can’t believe I am saying this, but I kinda miss having Kristian Sinema as senator. Now she had a hefty set of balls.
