Certainly a lot less messy than quicklime!

I don’t think that quicklime would do much on the mechanisms, except short out active electrical circuits and corrode electrical contact surfaces.

Well, for a robot, that would be enough, wouldn’t it?

As to the parts of the body that are not necessary to electrical storage and transfer and not shielded, the metal may be resistant to an alkali such as calcium carbonate.

I did some research and the quicklime thing is wrong. It is a desiccant that will actually help preserve the remains. Another Hollywood myth, like “silencers”.

Could have secure wiped all sensitive data and sold to US Government. Of course keeping a backdoor in the basic operating system.

Which is why I will never, ever allow one of those talking THINGS in my house. It’s bad enough we all carry snooping cell phones (a necessary evil). Who knows what the cell phones report back to their masters as to our locations, our travels, phone calls, texts, and browsing.
I still think this is why the trend is to phones that you can’t remove the batteries, so you can’t turn them totally off. Even ordinary off isn’t off enough.

Like the old Motorola Razr. With the battery installed outside interests could turn on the phone and turn it into a listening device without your knowledge.
I remember reading that the feebs got in trouble when an on-star subscriber could not make a phone call because the system was being used to listen in on conversations in the vehicle. GM likely modified the system so that even when used as a bug that phone calls would still proceed.

I solved that nonsense. Pulled the fuse and unplugged the mics. Still need to make time to unplug the sat antenna, but that’s a wee bit more involved with tearing down the dash.

I don’t even use cellphones. One land line for me, plus internet, that’s it. And I’m damned careful about what I say on either one.

The car is a ’94 GM model. I decline to say which one.

No Wi-Fi, cable, or satellite TV, either. My TV doesn’t even have a broadcast antenna. Less from “paranoia” than I just don’t fucking care. When you simply don’t like modern TV shows, and your idea of a high old time is watching a $1 bargain DVD of an old Bela Lugosi movie, you just don’t need a lot of the gee-whiz stuff.

Do you have a Faraday cage around your computers?
When you got to the car, I had this image of Gene Hackman in Enemy of the State…..

No Faraday cage, but then I don’t keep anything critical on any computer. It’s either hardcopy or just in my head.

It’s pretty hard to “hack” paper unless you do a physical break in. The Pentagon Papers showed that almost half-a-century ago.

Didn’t Sam just get done telling the Godfather that Jeeves belongs to Javier? And here she’s be-headed him, and doing modern art with the rest of his titanium carcass..
So how much will she owe the kid, and his corporation that Damien set up? All because of hormoneal pique? I mean, I know not to mess with preggers wimmons, but IVE GOT TO KNOW THAT SHE IS, FIRST. Aye, ye ye…..

Engineers would of course, but how many of their cartoonist creators know that J’s titanium skeleton requires a mini-grinder with a cutoff wheel like Red is wielding here and not a gas hatchet? That kind of detail is (part of) why I’m here.

I’ve said DJT is a Renaissance man, but CM ain’t too far behind.

If the hand offends, or any part, chop it off.

Sam, there was a really different meaning to that quote.
But that robotic hand looks like it will never tap ta tap tap… another secret of yours..

Now Sam, as an operable system, it did, yup, did have greater sale value. Less satisfaction I am sure. But higher market value. I am sure your mind made the decision based on cold hard steely logic as to the value of the feelings.

Sam, get thee to thy maternity mu mu. (Sam. Is that what you were thinking would happen?, aside from immediate gut reaction at betrayal of confidence and Jeeves’ wanton impudent bulldozing over Sam’s boundaries.)

Long pony tail around arc welding equipment? Not a real safe thing to do. Better to bundle it up and cover it for safety that risk losing it to an errant spark.

Besides, when Sam takes off the welder’s mask and shakes her head, the whole thing tumbles down in slow motion, right???
