Dudes. Y’all have a different reaction than me to looking straight down the barrel of that big bore auto. Go ahead, look again at Naomi, or try to, and tell me that having your eye drawn to that muzzle doesn’t give you fucking chills.

After having the Four Rules pounded into your head for half of a forty year career of buyin’sellin’tradin’loanin’ thousands of guns, and spending the second half pounding them into the heads of others, I have kind of a guttural reaction to looking down the violence end, which screams to me Rule 1)!!! All guns are always loaded!!! Real guns. Toy guns. Especially unloaded guns; those mofo’s will kill you quick. People in my stores, customer or employee alike, point or sweep that muzzle over me or anybody else? One stern warning, next time you’re out.

Anyway that has had an extended effect on me, call it illogical which it is but true nonetheless, that as I said above, even the protections of the vast fourth wall of this and other media are insufficient to avoid seeing your hot, lovely, terrifying killer chick bearing down on my face with that thing having a very distinct gut and butt clenching effect on me. Certainly that’s the effect it’s having on our FIB’er there; but way out here? A little deranged for somebody looking at a screen right? Maybe.

Whatever. I will continue avoiding looking straight into the business end of tools I have bought, sold, traded, and seen closeup effects of for so many years…including flat depictions, irrational though that may be. It’s just a thing.

I have been a gun lover and NRA member since moving to the mountains of NorthGeorgia and as a gun club member I have had that rule pounded into my head from day one. JJC, maternal instinct is God-given while reflexive reactions are learned; who is to say which is correct in a particular situation? I have seen the power of the former and it is awesome.

But this FIB’er ain’t smart enough to parse any of that; he is likely shitting himself right now. He’s either in love with one of the girls, or with Zed, or Jeeves…or he might have a sick deathwish.

Or like someone else suggested, maybe he’s coming in from the cold, switching sides. Careful though, I don’t trust this thug.

It’s a darkened room. The area immediately in front of her is illuminated, including the target. Most likely, she has a Streamlight or Surefire taclight in her left hand, arm crooked under her right elbow as a support. It’s an old MP technique that’s still a perfectly sensible procedure, because it illuminates the target and blinds him simultaneously.

As to why the light is extended to her right, in a dark conditions encounter an opponent will tend to shoot at the light. Not having it in front of your body is just good common sense.

Being seriously left eye dominant, I concur with her stance and both eyes open position. At my somewhat advanced age, I also aim via the forward sight, since I can’t see the rear sight anymore… Plus, as it appears Naomi is doing, I steady my pistol by resting it on my arm that is resting on the huge tracts of land just below it. Works like a charm, but only women of a certain configuration can use it…

In NYC, that scenario would result in a mass panic. I imagine that in the DBD the result will just be people getting out of the line of fire and backing up Naomi with their own pieces.
And I’m reminded of the line in “His Last Bow”, where Holmes tells the German diplomat he has captive to call for help and goes on to say that it will result in the town getting a new name for a pub, ‘The Dangling Prussian’.

I don’t think she has her finger on the trigger; looks like it’s wrapped on the grip with her little finger tucked under the butt (woah… that triggers ME! …as you were!), and her thumbnail on the right (her left) of the grip. If so, she’s threatening the interloper (soon to be outerloper), but with no intent to fire in the crowded room. Bet she can pistol whip him to his knees before he can even get his hand on his piece, and double tap him if he does.

It could be that her finger is in the trigger but up to the first knuckle. there are only three fingers under wrapped around the magwell area. The index finger would canted downward in the drawing so it looks a bit off and confusing.

Or it could be her finger is in the trigger and what we see of her finger on her left side of the gun is a thumb forward and down which is what I think is more likely.

Like the recent march of innocent child actor/activists, gun grabbers of various ilk and incarnation are ALL centrally connected and with one ultimate goal. They don’t give a rat’s ass except PR value about school shootings or the school kids whose blood they dance in so giddily. It is YOUR guns they want so you can’t do what Naomi is doing here; defending herself from an agent of her own government.
