Uh, Chris…isn’t Senora Portago Skye’s mom, I didn’t think Damon’s last name was Portago.

It’s Don Portago’s Argentinian staff-they’re used to calling her that since childhood.Go figure.:)

The Senora in this strip is Jan. Sky and Sam’s mom is the “new” senior Senora Portago. At least if I’ve kept things straight. I don’t recall if Jan took Damons last name, or frankly if they got married, she’s been quite the lib feminist for a long time, just not quite so rabid as Skye. (I confused them in the early days, wondering when Jan got tattooed)

    Why?
He’s married to a billionare’s daughter, lives in a country where beef is God, and never has to work a day in his life. Dispose of Skye-bitch, and it’s Paradise

Paradise? The whole country is like Detroit…yes, there’s extremely rich people…but what’s the point if you need a heavy escort anywhere you go…poor people are under siege by peronista gangs…Yes, everybody that can afford it is heavily armed and downtown, you have to keep a finger on the trigger, despite the rules…it’s that bad…check with Ferfal: http://ferfal.blogspot.ca/

You are comparing the whole country to a city, and your whole description sounds like a Liberal Utopia. The kind they are building and hope to enforce here.

CFK hot? Gag! Heat her up too much and all that plastic work will melt (yes I know plastic surgery doesn’t really use plastic…).

We don’t have a *President* by any normal standard. We have a feckless fraud, a clueless paradigm of the Peter Principle, a spineless sack of maggot excrement … and those are its better qualities.

but we do have the “opposition” led by John Boehner who can’t wait to assume power in 2016 and “lead” by the same rules and precedents that Obama has set.

O & Co have gone WAY beyond the scope of the Peter Principle.

Everything’s great until the government runs out of everyone else’s money..

Right now Argentina’s debt is 41.60% (GDP) and American debt is 73.60% (GDP). Inflation rates cannot be trusted for either country because of statistical manipulation. So far Argentina seems to be keeping afloat but the welfare state is likely to continue to grow due to Argentinian women leaders in the public and private sectors (not every country is gifted with a Margaret Thatcher).

Eventually the money will run out and “The Gods of the Copybook Headings” will not be denied. Though we will probably see another Falklands War (for the oil and gas reserves, regardless of the official explanation) before that happens.

War? With what? There is no more an army, navy or Air Force in Argentina…everything have been abandoned to feed the Peronista gangsters. Flying into BA was suicidal as all the controllers had been fired and replaced by street bandits that did not know a word of english…The screaming matches between our spanish speaking pilots and so-called controllers were epic…Finally, planes controlled themselves and did not even bother calling the tower!

Argentina’s an excellent example of how a once-rich country can be ruined, probably beyond redemption, by populist/socialist policies. It ought to required reading.

But Chris, you are WAY falling down on the job here. There has not been nearly enough breast-flesh lately. 😉

I’d love to know why Jan’s dress changed. The decorations on it in the next to last strip almost came across as 3-D, before they were deleted. Sehr interessant.

A Hot Out of Control President-Is Obama having menopausal hot flashes? He’s the right age and has been waspish in his approach to daily upsets…
Least little thing not going his way, I’m surprised he isn’t shedding tears a la Boehner the wuss.

This is still some brilliant stuff you got going on here, Chris. You ARE the man!
