I have never figured out how having to prove who you are is discrimination…

It discriminates against illegals, multiple voters, felons and the dead. You know, the Democrat base.

I hear you. It’s sooooooooo tough for the elderly, poor, handicapped, etc… to get an ID of some kind yet they still manage to function in society where one is required.

Honestly out of EVERYTHING I have read, comments, arguments and the like I have seen ONE person complain that it was hard to get an ID because he was disabled and had to arrange assistance with transportation to get one. The rest were nothing arguments (although his simply required effort and planning).

The whole uproar is nothing but crap because the cheaters have to modify their tactics.

You have to have MUCHO MORE in Mexico. Check this out.

      http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2015/aug/26/sid-miller/sid-miller-says-voters-mexico-must-have-tamper-pro/

Basically Mexico’s requirements and voting process are more stringent than ours. Now the REAL QUESTION IS, has anyone compared the Mexican voter rolls with the voter rolls in TEXAS? I wonder if there are Mexican Nationals voting in Texas elections……

If Hispanics voted 90% Republican, you can bet that liberals would be the staunchest anti-illegal immigration warriors! They’d claim that illegals hurt the poor, hurt our education system, hurt the environment, etc….

I think “liberal” and “progressive” are poor words to describe the left. “Hypocrite” is far more accurate.

Oh, yes, like that word ‘liberal’, meaning ‘free’. It does not mean what they’ve corrupted it to mean.

Man, I am in a foul mood! Apologies to all, but be warned: the Saudi government is shaky. Cracks appearing in its ‘pillars’. Squabbling by NOT-Saud-family with Saud-family about everything and the price of oil just WILL not go back up to its bubble state. If Saud falls….

Keep a close eye on it all. Things may become dicey over the next four to ten years. Don’t say I didn’t tell you.

Venezuela, too. Dependence on oil for income is an addict’s habit. None of those bozos saw the oil bubble popping, and IT WAS PREDICTED BY MARKET FORECASTERS.

And now, losing control of it all. Poor things. I remember when the Arab Oil Embargo hit us. It was 1974. I was living in New Jersey, working in Philly….

      Barberess—

Lived in Wheeling (Chicago sub in NW Cook Co) for 25+ yrs. For the last 10-or-so, I was a Judge of Elections. At various times, I detected/caught vote fraud being perpetrated. Reported same to county officials. One time, I was “investigated” by none other than Little Lisa, the Illinois attorney general, herself! She tried to entrap me into ignoring the ID rules. Didn’t work, of course, but that’s how the Dems handle “trouble-makers”—they trick ’em into some minor error, then make press-assisted examples of them. The resulting hoopla drowns out the original problem—and the woes befalling the “trouble-maker” serve as deterrent examples to other election judges who might observe vote-fraud and feel obliged to report same: ignore, and keep your damned mouth shut! : (

Every Islamist splinter group wants control of Saudi. Not so much because of oil as because of Mecca and Medina. Whoever controls two of the three holiest sites in Islam gets to tell every other Muslim on Earth what to do, is their conclusion. (The other holiest site is the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.)

The Iranian mullahs especially want those sites in their hands. As does ISIS. And yes, both intend to use that “authority” to declare The Caliphate and then tell every other Muslim it’s “KILL ALL INFIDELS IN THE NAME OF ALLAH!!!” time.

Anyone who believes otherwise should review the history of Iran since 1979. Plus the history of Islam overall. And oh yes, the Qu’ran, specifically Sura 9 and the Hadiths.

Read somewhere recently (website “Gates of Vienna” maybe?) that Mo said that Jerusalem was the Jews Portion, and that there was no documentation that Mo had ever been to Jerusalem. Until after the Muslims conquered it, and set up their shrine on top of the Temple Mount. Where these days kids play soccer in the courtyard, kick the ball against the wall in the sight of the Muslim guards. Also saw a pic of one of the daily genuflects toward Mecca, with a crowd of Muslims turning up their butts toward the Dome of the Rock. Holy site?

Progressives consistently lose honest elections? And therefore cannot carry out their plans for Utopia Minus All Those Grotty Groundlings?

To them, election rigging is SOP, just like professional gamblers in the Old West and on the Mississippi generally used every dirty trick in the book to win. They believe they have a Mission To Create Paradise On Earth And Remove All Undesirables From Same.

Three guesses what their definition of an “undesirable” is.

Anyone who thinks this is new should look up the 1876 Presidential election vote buying scandal, Hayes vs. Tilden. Specifically the cipher dispatches via Western Union regarding buying electors in Florida.

The United States missed having an election stolen by one electoral vote. And it was the Democrats who planned the heist and nearly pulled it off.

      Somehow, they just never change.

I know it’s been printed and written many times before, but once more won’t hurt.
Gotta show proof of ID to– open a bank account, put money into the bank, take money out of the bank.
Gotta show proof of ID to rent an apartment.
Gotta show proof of ID (many times) to buy a house.
Gotta show proof of ID to buy alcohol.
Gotta show proof of ID to get a driver’s license and drive a vehicle.
Gotta show proof of ID to pass NICS to buy a gun.
Gotta show proof of ID to apply for credit cards.
Gotta show proof of ID to be a delegate at a political caucus or convention.
Even have to show proof of ID to apply for a library card to borrow a book.

So — what the f##k is wrong with having to show proof of ID to VOTE!!
I used to have to show proof of ID to vote in my state ( used to. now we do vote by mail).

You shouldn’t be showing ID to rent – that is for a credit check, and those are racist.
You shouldn’t buy a house, it just encourages independence.
      You shouldn’t drink alcohol.
You shouldn’t be driving, the car should do that for you.
You shouldn’t even be LOOKING at guns!
The CC company shouldn’t be checking your credit – that’s racist.
If you’re part of the elite, the right people should already know you, and shouldn’t need an ID at the caucus/convention.
You shouldn’t be reading, it will just give you dangerous ideas.

        http://dailysignal.com/2016/05/26/california-refuses-to-admit-its-voter-fraud-problem/
Voter fraud is for when there is a non ‘machine’ controlled candidate on the ballot.

in memory of those we commemorate today, let’s get honest elections to predominate.

In Missouri, you have to show an ID, not Photo ID, but an ID we match against your voter registration and address.

  • May 30, 2016 at 12:29 pm

In Missouri yo have to show an ID with the name matching the voter registration book. You have to verify your address is correct. It doesn’t have to be a photo ID but an ID.

There should be a cost to participation. That cost should not be unbearable, nor onerous, but it should show at least a minimum of effort and consideration on the part of the voter. Voting is by far the most dangerous single, legal act we perform as citizens of this country. It should not be trivial.

A photo ID, or some other identity verification is part of a necessary system that proves that you are a legal voter and have not voted somewhere else, nor allowed anyone else to vote on your behalf.

We should always be wary of allowing laws that require Govt permission to exercise our rights and privileges as it’s too easy for that simple “It’s just an ID” to become “we can deny your that ID on a whim”. The people fighting against the IDs have their place as do those fighting for them. The best arguments usually win out in the long run. That’s how our system works.
