For heavens sake, hose the good woman down first!

The good woman is Sam. The one who needs a good hosing is Skye. Good hosing, great double entendre.

Cleanup shots are extra; plus, we need a showerhead for the hose

Sam ‘s gonna have to get naked, looks like.

Looks like 4th of July fireworks ahead.

    Memo to Sam…..

You’re an engineer. Do NOT offer or lend a hand to help extricate your sister from her present plight,

    It will only end badly.

Would be such a shame if Zed had to get involved and mud-wrestle both of them at the same time…

    Chris,

A comment on your first panel of today’s strip — it almost looks like you’ve sculpted a 3-D model of Skye instead of your usual artwork. An excellent job!

Looking forward to the upcoming “mud wrestling match”… Oh, yea-a-a-a-ah!!

    Regards,
    Tom

I agree on the 1st panel art; phenomenal. Looks like something ready to fire in a kiln. I guess they don’t call that material “slip” for nothing.

A 3-D diorama of this scene (with Sam standing over the muddied Skye) would be a great premium for next year’s fundraiser!

      Zar Belk!

With backgrounds,I modify photos I find and ‘patch’ in the character. The characters are rendered enough to blend with the photo.

        Chris,
What is particularly well done is blending the inevitable call from your fans for the fund raising swimming hole scene with the actual events going on in the world.

        So, mudwrestling with CNN….genius.

Have some sympathy for Skye. She’s really trying hard to “repent”, learn, and adapt to her new mentality. Sister Sam is allowed one, just one, snerk, and then it’s time to give Skye a hand up out of the mud.
So much symbolism, so much metaphor.

Heh, the hits just keep on coming:

    http://nypost.com/2017/06/28/cnn-boss-in-crosshairs-if-att-time-warner-merger-approved/

Yup, still not tired of all this winning. Trump has shown the modern American media for what they really are–liberal advocates who believe their own shit about how important they are.

At least Skye can be pulled out of the mud, I doubt CNN/MSNBC/NYT/WAPO ever can.

Oh, yea, the 4th is gonna be good….

And it’s gonna be even better when October rolls around and CNN/MSNBC/NYT/WAPO won’t be able to help themselves – the 100th anniversary of Hope and Change (October 1917). The brownish, muddied “media” will be doing all they can to celebrate…

There’s also this regarding CNN and Zucker…
    http://www.mediaite.com/tv/cnn-reportedly-retracted-story-to-avoid-100m-lawsuit/
This wonderful scenario has brought back to mind the line from Johnny Cash’s ‘A Boy Named Sue’…”kickin’ and a-gougin’ in the mud and the blood and the beer”.
The political fighting is nowhere near this clean.

And….. did Skye manage to actually lose her dress while falling in? or is it just really thin? (And a bit extra long at the bottom?)

      • June 29, 2017 at 7:11 am
        Grunt GI

It does appear that Skye fell so hard her dress fell off.

Guess we have to wait for tomorrow to find out.

Normally tequila makes my wife’s dress fall off.

        😉

I think you have a hand in assisting your wife’s dress falling off.
Please don’t be placing all the nakedness on her consumption of the nectar from the agave. Though is does contribute a skosh to an extent.

Oh, I was always ready to lend a helping hand…once the dress started falling off…wouldn’t want it to get wrinkled or anything.

That’s worse. Remove the insole, hose them out, dry the inside with paper towels, remove any debris with a brush, apply leather conditioner, insert boot stretchers. Polish when dry.

Reading the comments is like being back in school. It’s the mud-wrestle version of kids standing around, chanting “Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight…”.

Ya know, Chris, Skye’s looking pretty beat. She needs a stand-in. I volunteer.
Purely out of chivalry, mind you.

Skye is going to need to soak that dress in a bucket with a rather large addition of oxi-clean to get the mud out. As to her, don’t let her in the house until she has all the mud hosed off. Don’t need the drains plugged.

    • June 29, 2017 at 11:07 am

      I do like your thought.

    • June 29, 2017 at 5:12 pm
      MAJ Arkay

Hydrogen peroxide will clean it out, just soak in HP until the stain is gone, then launder. But she definitely has to be hosed off before going anywhere near inside plumbing.

As hot as it is here in Texas, an outside hosing off will be quite pleasant, AFTER the water in the hose is out — that be really, really hot right now.

Meanwhile, this makes me want to go find a mud puddle and squeeze mud between my toes. Sigh. Happy memories of childhood and irrigation ditches…

      • June 29, 2017 at 5:44 pm
        Pamela

Polliwogs! We would go to the local irrigation ditch and catch polliwogs and the little frogs. Then get lectured when we got back home on how young ladies were not supposed to climb down the embankment and get dirty. Thanks for the HP tip on mud removal.

  • June 29, 2017 at 11:57 am

    A metaphor, yes.

Best hopes and wishes for Skye to climb out and wash the mud and the shit off of her and out of her…and that it happens while we watch. 😉

For FNN, their mud and bullshit is of their own making; it runs through their veins, and out their pens and their pores. My hopes and wishes for them is that it will ultimately consume and kill them…and it’s happening while we watch. 😉

Live by the mud and the shit, die by the mud and the shit.

And…while the chatteratzi are all in vapors over the Donald’s twitter war with Joe and Mika, here’s some real news you probably won’t see on CNN—

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/06/29/sanders-pans-pathetic-probe-wifes-loan-but-complaint-raises-red-flags.html

It’s so fun to watch the entire media-entertainment complex go into apoplectic fits cuz the Donald is from New York, not DC and he won’t take their shit lying down cuz it’s part of being a Republican…he will punch back twice as hard.

Maybe it’s not totally dignified, but DAMN, it is sure entertaining to watch.

    Yea, I’m cynical like that.

The New Yorkers I used to know were pugnacious, proud, opinionated and made over blown statements of anything that got their attention.
And then were very wiling to fight you about their statements. Even the “women”.

    Ol' Tanker

If the Texas mud is anything like Georgia red clay mud, poor Skye’s dress is ruined. I had to crawl thru a swamp in a rainstorm during OCS at Ft Benning and every bit of white clothing I had on dyed and stayed orange. Never could get that color out.
